Huge amounts sold to very vulnerable elderly mother

My elderly and very vulnerable mother was pressure sold boxes upon boxes of these products. Ive found years worth of it in her home. Upon asking her where it came from and why she had so much, her explanation made it clear she had been missold these due to her vulnerability. I've gone through her statements and can see they were taking £65+ from her per month for an extended period. Disgusting. Heartbreaking.

Highly aggressive sales approach - enquire at your peril

Below is the complaint I sent to Slater and Gordon which speaks to my experience after making an initial enquiry with them. I was then absolutely hounded by their sales people for weeks, despite telling them I did not want them to follow-up and making clear in the initial call that I was still dealing with my injuries.

"I contacted Slater and Gordon a number of weeks ago after being knocked off my bike and injured in London.

The initial call was very poor. It was structured to the needs of your firm as opposed to the potential client, resulting in an inefficient discussion where it took close to 20 minutes to confirm my basic details. To make things more efficient, I requested to send my basic info via email instead. I was told by this was not possible, highlighting an outdated approach which does not suit the way I would need to work together. As a result, at the end of the call I informed your colleague that I did not wish to receive any follow-up contact. I was clear that I would reach out myself should I change my mind and wish to proceed with Slater and Gordon.

Despite this, I have since been harassed by repeated calls and voicemails from Slater & Gordon. The persistence and volume of this contact has been unnecessary and invasive to the extent that I blocked Slater & Gordons phone number. However, I have now received a number of text messages from different numbers that ask if I am 'free for a brief chat' - your approach to date suggests these may also be from Slater & Gordon.

I am formally requesting that Slater & Gordon immediately delete all of my personal data under my GDPR rights, and confirm by email that this has been completed. Your firm should not contact me again in any form except to confirm that this action has been completed.

It is disgraceful and unethical that you deem this an appropriate approach to engaging potential clients. Were your firm’s initial engagement not so poor you could have easily secured me as a client.

If I receive any further contact beyond the email confirmation specified above, I will formally escalate this matter via external channels. "


A few hours after submitting the complaint I received an email apologising 'if' my experience hadn't aligned with their standards of client care. they also promised to delete my data. However, sitting alongside it in my inbox was - you guessed it - a sales chase email from them!

With regards to your data erasure request, I can assure you that this is being processed, but as you only submitted this to ourselves yesterday morning such a request does take time and automated emails are likely to be sent in the interim. You will be notified accordingly once your data has been deleted and you will then receive no further communication from ourselves.

en serio: ¡no lo uses! Todavía no he recibido mi pedido (después de más de 3 semanas). solo compre en amazon, en serio.

Volví al sitio web de lookfantastic y pasé por muchos obstáculos administrativos hasta que pude encontrar la forma de denunciarlo. luego, me pidieron que descargara y editara un pdf con los detalles de mi pedido, aunque claramente tienen esos detalles en su sistema, ya que lograron recibir mi pedido inicial y mi pago con éxito.

Además, la gestión del servicio de mensajería de entrega, SU proveedor, a quien contratan como socio comercial, es SU responsabilidad. No solo hacen que sea difícil obtener incluso ayuda básica sobre los problemas, sino que esperan que usted haga un trabajo administrativo adicional en el proceso. Esta es una práctica muy mala. Además, lookfantastic debe asumir la responsabilidad de sus socios comerciales para garantizar que los clientes obtengan el servicio por el que han pagado. esto no ha sucedido, y me ha hecho perder mucho tiempo; y aun despues de tanto tiempo sigo sin tener el pedido.

No los recomiendo en absoluto. Todo lo que pedí, podría haberlo comprado en Amazon por 0,50c - 1 € más, pero habría resultado mucho más barato si consideramos el valor de mi tiempo perdido persiguiéndolos y el impacto de no recibir el pedido después de 3 semanas. . Honestamente, compre en otro lado. su servicio, y falta de responsabilidad, es un chiste en 2022 cuando hay otras tiendas que te brindan tu compra, sin dramatismo, en pocos días; y no exija un montón de trabajo adicional de usted solo porque tuvo la desgracia de ordenarles pensando que era un negocio razonable
