BEWARE...THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAMMERS.
I wanted to register for GST and made a Google search a couple of days ago...
abn-registration-australia.com.au came up first and I fell for it.
I knew that to register for GST was free and yet I was charged $158.
It so happens that they claim that they registered me for ABN and GST...I only wanted GST.
I have had an ABN for nearly two years and its current and paid for via ASIC.
I contacted the ATO and explained this issue, they confirmed that this appends a lot and I may have been scammed...
The ATO confirmed that no GST activation has been done and they activated/registered me for GST for free while on the phone.
I am going through by bank to recover these $158.00 charges.

Complete money grab. They set up my business INCORRECTLY and then refused to help change it. You can also register without their help for much less. Shame on you. I dealt with "Cory" who ghosted me when I asked for help. Losers

Avoid ABN Register Services. They make out that their service is mandatory, yet it’s literally the same process you can do through the ATO at no cost. Their website is full of wording designed to look official and urgent, which is incredibly misleading. It’s the same playbook used by those scam business‑name renewal sites that send unsolicited emails. Total waste of money.

This is by far the worse service! Needs to be shut down! Absolute schemers
Ignore at all cost

Make you feel like you're getting the real deal, and you are, but you're paying for it. If l had realised they were not the govt one, would not have dealt with them and wouldn't have paid. They DO NOT return calls or reply to emails, so obviously DO NOT CARE! They just take your money. Very very dissatisfied and angry.

Scam I was charged $435 for a free service

Much like everyone else, I paid $168 to register my ABN. I’ve since found out it should be FREE. How is this allowed or legal? Absolute scam.

Same as everyone else. Money taken for a free service. He could have said what you need is free but knowing took my fee paid. I urge all of you to make a report to the tax office and contact Fair Trading. Best idea is to make it known what they are doing and hopefully something will be done to stop it happeneing to others.

Shamelessly, stealing your money for a free service. It is modern type scam. They pay google to keep their page above formal government page of ABN. So, basically, you enter your information, and pay. They transfer your information on government page. They get your ABN, and then send it to you. If you go through the formal page, it takes a minute to complete your application and receive ABN. Here is the formal page.

Misleading service – don’t waste your money.
They charge for ABN registration even though it’s FREE via the ATO. This is just a third-party service that doesn’t clearly explain the fee upfront.
Asked for a refund → got a standard “no refund” reply.
⚠️ Avoid this. Apply directly through the ATO and save your money.

They charge for service which is absolutely free and easy to navigate on govt website. Took them all of about 2 mins & charged $99 for ABN reactivation. Upon realising the mistake, contacted them and they will not listen to reason or accept that they mislead people.

Don't trust these guys with your money. Tried to cancel the ABN registration service within 24hours of ordering on a Sunday. Getting the work around, but as soon I mention I'm contacting the bank Monday morning no longer getting any responses. Everyone should complain about them for misconduct to the tpb.gov.au website.

Terrible.
Paid to cancel an ABN, one month later no cancellation.
I have emailed them multiple times no response.
Just took my money and provided no service.

Worst, most terrible company.

Working off phone, late at night and accidentally went through them not the Gov site.

Days of wasted emails and wasted $200. Finally registered the biz name myself through ASIC within 5 mins. The WORST part, they have all my data!! So devastated about that.

Really, this should be illegal. Charging for something that's free while intimating it's a legitimate website is wrong.

This site offers services for $99 that are free via other methods. Don't be fooled.

tried to register a business name thinking this was a govt website. Money gone. Nothing happened. Not responding to email. AVOID

I'm so embarrassed that I even used this company, and only realised after it was all too late. I had several tabs open on my browser for the ATO and somehow filled out all my details on this scam company's page. Only found out when I went to the official Government Business Registration webpage's chat that I'd been scammed. I'm now in a black hole of not being in any control over my registration whatsoever - and worse still... this unscrupulous company has all my personal details.

Absolute scam. Will overcharge your credit card and you won't get any where with customer service - everything has to be passed on or confirmed by a different area. This is for the business called Honcho.

I was about to start a new business when researching about business registration requirements. I came across an online service called ABNregistration.com that promised to provide an Australian Business Number (ABN) within 15 minutes, all for just $533. I thought this was perfect for me since I needed an ABN quickly and didn't want to go through the complicated application process.

After entering my details and my credit card information, I clicked the submit button. After a short wait, my browser redirected me to a page that said "Thank you for doing business with Honcho, we have received your payment." I was confused and immediately suspected that something was not right. I thought I had already finished with the ABN registration process, but instead, I ended up in Honcho's website.

Out of suspicion, I looked for other ABN registration sites and found a scam alert on Trustpilot warning me about ABNregistration.com. I immediately realized I had made a big mistake by entrusting my sensitive information to this fraudulent website. They even charged me more than what's advertised!

I quickly contacted my bank and informed them of the scam. Luckily, my bank took immediate action, and they were able to stop the payment before I lost more money. I was grateful for their quick action, but I was extremely disappointed to have wasted a lot of time and effort dealing with these scammers.

The experience taught me that not all websites offering quick and inexpensive services can be trusted. It's always the best practice to verify a website's legitimacy before making any payments or sending sensitive information online. Always make sure to read reviews, ratings and look for legitimate accreditation before trusting any online services.

Once I learned my lesson, I found a legitimate and trustworthy way to register for an ABN. I urge everyone to be cautious and avoid falling for scams like what happened to me.
