Just wow 3.5 hours to vac and dust 2…

Just wow 3.5 hours to vac and dust 2 bedrooms and clean 2 bathrooms in a small townhouse and didnt even finish one of the bathrooms, wanted to do downstairs too but said don't bother as would have cost even more and god knows how long it would have taken! Stay away if you want to not waste your time and money!!!

Our cleaner was informed that the job might take longer than 3 hours; however, it appears there was a miscommunication regarding the exact expected duration. The cleaner thoroughly vacuumed, dusted, and cleaned the staircase and bathrooms as requested.
Unfortunately, due to your need to leave and the delayed start, the cleaner was unable to complete one of the bathrooms and the downstairs area within the time you allowed.

Our Area Coordinator reached out to address your concerns and offered to have the cleaner return to complete the job or discuss a potential refund, both of which were declined. We understand your frustration with the timing and the cleaner's late arrival, and we sincerely apologise for not meeting your expectations in this regard.

We are consistently working to enhance our services, and your feedback plays a crucial role in this process. We would like to reiterate our offers for discussing reimbursement or having the assigned cleaner return to complete the job. If you have changed your mind and are interested in this resolution, let us know and we will address this issue for you.

I am honestly so upset

I am honestly so upset. I chose to go with absolute domestics as they were able to come quicker than the service highly recommended to me and they did such a terrible job. I was generous with time allowing for 2.5 hours for what should take maximum 2 hours and instead the couple just did one person working at a time (even though they were being paid to both be) and didn’t actually do any of the things properly or leave the house in the clean state it should be $125 later. My quote was also 12$ cheaper for some reason and I’m so annoyed I just paid for someone to basically just do a bad vaccum and mop, and also do bathrooms. They didn’t have any cleaning supplies that I saw yet I paid extra for them. I have tried to call and got no answer but have heaps of photos and so upset.

The cleaners did bring their own equipment and products, including vacuum, mop, and various cleaning chemicals, but it appears they did not use them effectively. This is not acceptable, and has been addressed directly with the cleaners to ensure this does not happen again.

You mentioned that the cleaners were working at a slower pace and did not fully utilise the time allocated for the job. They should have ensured that the full 2.5 hours were dedicated to making your home spotless, and we apologise for their lack of efficiency.

We understand there was an overcharge of $12.50 on your quote, and I can confirm this has been refunded along with an additional $30 for the unsatisfactory service you received. The total refund of $42.50 should now be reflected in your account.

We are also truly sorry for the damage caused to your floor during the cleaning. Our Damage Department has been notified and has been in touch with you to address this issue and discuss the next steps.

Absolutely terrible

absolutely terrible . I booked online, I received confirmation of my booking , the link that I clicked stated 38 per hour, then when I clicked on the link it went to 40 per hour . When I confirmed my booking that 40 per hour went to 50 per hour with a not e too stay that after my first clean it would go to 40 per hour. I booked for a tuesday or friday . I got confirmation that my booking had been signed to a cleaner for the tuesday and I would be called.
Tuesday came and I waited at home and no cleaner showed up. I called to see what had happened and i was told it was booked for friday instead. When I asked why have I not been contacted by the cleaner the response was oh we just contract them it not our responsibility to follow up but I guess I can for you. Then CS lady then told me they can get someone for the following week and if I wasn't at home just to make sure I had all my products and vacuum and mop available for the cleaner ......Thats when I just knew these people were not professional as I had booked based on the provider that I would not be using my products esp fort the 50 per hour that I was quoted for the initial clean.

Long story short, they are misleading, unprofessional , poor communication and I definitely strongly recommend you DO NOT use this company. It was over even before it started

Firstly, I want to clarify our pricing structure. When creating the online booking form, you would have cited the rates in your area, and agreed to these rates when confirming your booking request. The first 2 hours of service are charged at $103.00, with any additional hours at $40 per hour. This pricing, along with the information that the household provides the cleaning products and equipment, is clearly communicated during the booking process. We regret any confusion this may have caused.

We apologise for the confusion regarding the scheduling. Your booking was confirmed for Friday, which was one of the days you selected during the online booking process. The communication you received indicated that a cleaner had been assigned to your booking, but it did not specify that the cleaner was scheduled for Tuesday. We’re sorry for any misunderstanding this may have caused and appreciate your feedback and will use it to improve our processes.

As for the use of products and equipment, we understand that this was not your preference. While we do offer services where we provide all necessary supplies for an additional charge, it seems there was a miscommunication here, and for that, we are truly sorry.

Thank you again for bringing these issues to our attention. We sincerely apologise for the disruption and miscommunication when getting your cleaning service started, and we would love the opportunity to make things right if you would be willing to give us another go.

Extremely disappointed with the…

Extremely disappointed with the service. A poor clean was conducted and upon discussing it with Absolute Domestics and providing photographs as evidence, they responded that the cleaner does not wish to provide a refund and that they cannot do anything further despite acknowleding that the clean was not to standard.

Expect to resolve any issues directly with the cleaner and don't expect Absolute Domestics to provide any assistance with resolving matters.

Even in this instance of a non professional clean they still decided to retain the agency fee.

Very poor customer service overall

Upon you notifying the Agency of your dissatisfaction, we started investigating the matter. We note your assigned cleaner arrived a few minutes late, and then had to wait outside for some time for you to respond to her message and let her in. We understand how important punctuality is and apologise for any inconvenience this cause, but also note that both these factors caused the service to start later than scheduled.

We acknowledge that a few cleaning tasks were missed, including wiping over bathroom taps and a few mirror smudges. While we agree that these tasks should have been completed, the cleaner was on-site for 1 hour and 50 minutes and completed the majority of the clean.

Initially, we offered a $15 refund to compensate for the time lost due to the cleaner's late arrival, which we believe could have been used to complete the minor missed tasks. When this was refused, we extended a further gesture of goodwill by offering a refund equivalent to one full hour of cleaning time. This refund was processed on July 3rd and should have been received in your bank account.

We believe that the refunds offered were fair and reasonable given the circumstances and the minor nature of the tasks missed.

We genuinely regret that our service did not meet your expectations and appreciate your patience while we attempted to resolve this matter. Should you have any further concerns or not have received the refund, please contact our customer service team directly, and we will be happy to assist you further.

STAY AWAY FROM THEM!

Absolute Domestic Cleaning has proven to be a complete disappointment. Their inability to take responsibility for their mistakes is appalling and speaks volumes about their lack of integrity as a company.
After hiring them for a cleaning job, I encountered a problem where one of their cleaners caused damage to my property. Despite clear evidence pointing to their negligence, Absolute Domestic Cleaning refused to accept any responsibility. Their refusal to acknowledge their error and make amends is utterly unacceptable.
It's alarming that a company would prioritise deflecting blame over rectifying their errors. This lack of accountability is not only unprofessional but also demonstrates a blatant disregard for customer satisfaction and trust.
I strongly advise against using Absolute Domestic Cleaning services. Their unwillingness to own up to their mistakes makes them unreliable and unworthy of anyone's business.

Regarding the cleaning methods used in your bathroom, it is indeed standard practice in many households to wash tiled walls in bath or shower areas, which generally should not impact the ceiling below unless there are existing issues with the waterproofing. We believe this to be the case in this instance.

After receiving your notification of damage to the laundry ceiling at 8/24 Cleone Street, Guildford, we conducted an internal investigation. Based on the information provided and our review with the cleaner involved, we found no evidence of negligence while cleaning your bathroom. It is our stance that the damage occurred due to existing waterproofing issues rather than the cleaning process itself.

To accurately determine the cause of the damage, we recommended engaging an independent contractor to assess the damage and provide a detailed report, which you have declined to do. If you decide to go ahead with this recommendation, and the report substantiates your claim of negligence, we will review our position and work towards a resolution.

Lightly hosing well-maintained, waterproof bathroom tiles should not cause any damage, as bathrooms are designed to handle moisture and should be waterproofed as such.

We regret any dissatisfaction caused and want to resolve this matter amicably. As advised above, if you source assessment from an independent party that would indicate that the cleaner acted negligently, we would be more than happy to review the claim further.

Disappointed at being misled

Nikita did a good job with the tasks she undertook. Unfortunately, however, though I had specifically asked for the 2.5 bathrooms to be cleaned, in addition to vacuuming and mopping (no general dusting or kitchen), she hurried away without telling me she hadn’t cleaned the family bathroom. I felt we were short-changed on our 3 hour spring clean anyway, but to then discover that one bathroom had not been done seemed sneaky and dishonest. After about 2+ hours, I had asked Nikita how she was going and she indicated that she was going well. If there was likely to be a problem, she had ample opportunity to let me know that she was unlikely to be able to complete the tasks assigned and I would have re-prioritised the remaining jobs. I stress that other cleaners have managed to clean our always tidy 4 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom house in 3 hours without a problem, and I do not believe that my expectations were in anyway unreasonable. I am extremely disappointed. Conversations with the company afterwards did nothing to satisfy my concerns and I won’t use Absolute Domestics again.

Damaged my Fridge

Had a house cleaner do a spring clean. Talked about how caustic the oven cleaner was. Wiped out this caustic chemical, then leaned against my fridge door to clean the wall beside it. Now I have a BURNT handprint on my fridge door, eaten through the steel, and apparently it’s NOT due to the cleaner because she said she didn’t lean up against the fridge. Considering I SAW her do that, are you calling me a liar Absolute Domestics? Also put BLEACH in my showe after being told twice we couldn’t have it due to a septic system…

The tradesperson in question was a LANDSCAPER who only came inside to use the toilet, nowhere near the fridge. They did not complete any work inside the house, therefore the assumption that they may have caused any damage to my fridge is absurd. You also did not ask for clarification around this, nor did you mention it in any of our correspondences.
In the incident report you asked me to send I clearly stated I had seen the cleaner lean against the fridge to wipe down the wall.

Once again, disgusted.

We received a report from the cleaning contractor who indicated that the tradesperson was present in your home, actively engaged in work within the kitchen area, specifically measuring the oven.
The incident report sent to you for completion requested supporting evidence, i.e. additional documents or photographs of the item before the damage occurred. This evidence would help verify that the damage was recent and directly caused by the cleaning contractor.

Although you mentioned in the report that you saw the cleaner leaning on the refrigerator, this statement differs from the initial information we received via email when you initially reported the damage.

We have in writing in your initial correspondence with the Agency regarding the damage: "I am assuming that when the cleaner was cleaning the walls beside the fridge, she may have place her hand there while she had chemicals on her hand." this indicates that you are unsure of how the damage occurred and did not witness it occur, contrary what was written in the incident report. Given this discrepancy and the absence of corroborating evidence, we are unable to move forward with your claim.

I would not recommend Absolute Domesetic

I have been a client of Absolute Domestics for the last 18 months. In this time I've had 4 cleaners of variable quality. Two were great but didn't stay long with the company and two were terrible. Not having consistency was tiring.

On my last clean the cleaners broke my vacuum (1.9 years old). The cleaners even admitted it stopped working mid-vacuum (and sent a video). The response from Absolute Domestic was that it was a manufacturer issue and therefore pushed back on any responsibility.

I've been left very disappointed in the service provided and would not recommend this company to anyone.

We're truly sorry for the inconsistency and any stress caused by last-minute scheduling changes. In response to this feedback, we had assigned a team of excellent cleaners who will be commencing their service with you from April 11 onwards. Concerning the unfortunate incident with your vacuum cleaner, please know that we've conducted a thorough review of the situation. While our findings indicate that the cleaners used the vacuum as intended without negligence, we understand that this does not diminish the inconvenience you've faced. Although we cannot assume liability for the vacuum based on the evidence and circumstances, we want to ensure you feel supported in seeking a resolution. Absolute Domestics is a full of bullocks company! We hired a cleaner. We were promised an extra hour on top of the 3 as that's what they offered. Well, the cleaner spent 3 hours "cleaning". Didn't clean the stairwell as requested, bathroom glass doors untouched and still had massive stains et... Bathroom and toilet floors not mobbed. The worst job ever ... We requested for a refund. Rejected by Absolute Domestics. Didnt even offer a free cleaning job next time. This Australian company has the poorest customer service, is arrogant when it comes to getting bad reviews. Speaking to the local area manager, she was cocky, arrogant and unwilling to take in the bad feedback. Did not acknowledge our bad experience with them. They clearly do not train their cleaners on how to properly clean. DO NOT US THIS COMPANY TO GET YOUR HOUSE CLEANED. You will be wasting your money!!!

Complete waste of money

Complete waste of money ! Came home clearer still in bathroom after leaving I finished my meeting to inspect the job and wow was absolutely the worse job I had seen I could of done it myself, I immediately email the photos and my disappointment, to get a call from a lady basically saying it was my fault, I want a refund but was told I would hear back Monday, well iv cleaned my place myself and my bathroom took just under a hour yet the cleaner I hired was here for 3 hours 3 HOURS! my apartment is only a small studio, I’m so pissed off at this company, I do believe they buy there fake views to miss lead customers

This standard applies regardless of property size and focuses on the condition of the property. The images you've sent, mostly showcasing stained silicone, highlight issues that cleaning alone cannot resolve, as this requires replacement.

Our records indicate that upon completion, our cleaners sought your satisfaction feedback, to which you rated their effort as 10/10. This discrepancy is concerning, and we wish to understand better how this initial satisfaction turned into dissatisfaction.

The Area Coordinator aimed to explain the situation, focusing on the time allocated for the clean and the state of the silicone, rather than attributing blame. We regret any miscommunication that occurred and certainly do not endorse any interactions that feel dismissive or unsupportive.

We note that during our correspondence, you have threatened to come to into our office to 'sort us out'. While we understand frustrations can run high, threatening or abusive behaviour towards our Area Coordinators cannot be tolerated. Our team's safety and well-being are paramount, and we strive for constructive, respectful dialogues even in challenging situations.

After thorough discussion with the cleaning team and reviewing the service details, it's been determined that the primary dissatisfaction stems from long-term staining issues rather than the quality of the cleaning provided. Given this, along with your initial approval of the service, we find it challenging to justify a refund. However, we invite you to send through photos of the property from after you had cleaned it, so we can compare the end result with the photos you have sent through. This additional information may substantiate the claim for a refund.

We believe in fairness and transparency. Although the outcome at this time may not be what you had hoped for, we assure you that your feedback is invaluable in helping us improve.

Remaining hopeful

I was out of town for most of the time that the cleaner came, and my son said the place smelled strongly of bleach when he got home and assumed that she had cleaned.

But I was in town when she last cleaned and I noticed a lot that had not been cleaned, including the tiles in the shower, the floors had been vacuumed But not mopped, benches were not cleaned.

I had given her a list of what I needed done from the beginning and she obviously did not do that. So I requested that she doesn't clean my place any more.

I have requested a new cleaner. Hopefully this one is better. If she is not, I will be ending my time with absolutely domestics.

Worst Cleaning Agency

I engaged Absolute Domestic Services to provide cleaning services. They texted me the name of the cleaner and their details. She couldn't come at the time I wanted so they contacted another person and sent me their details. After waiting for a few days I contacted the cleaner to ask whether he was coming or not and the time I wanted did not suit him so I had to contact the agency again for another cleaner. That cleaner contacted me and arrived on time. I provided him the cleaning products and equipment and he finished cleaning in less than 2 hours and was fluffing around. When I asked him why he wasn't leaving he said he had been asked to stay at my place for 2.5 hours and so he decided to clean the windows with dry cloth which didn't do anything. I paid him $98 and had to do the cleaning myself after he was gone. The house looked like it had not been cleaned at all. He was so bad that I don't think he knew how cleaning was to be done. The agency then texted me the details of another cleaner for the following week. After waiting for almost 2 weeks I finally decided to contact another agency. The cleaner from Absolute Domestics contacted me yesterday to let me know she was coming over which was not expected as I had been waiting for her to be in touch with me last week to arrange for suitable timing to come over.
I am extremely angry and disappointed with Absolute Domestics and their cleaners for their unprofessional attitudes and complete lack of communication. It is the worst agency I have ever dealt with. Extremely unhappy.

Revolving Door

Revolving Door! I have had 5 cleaners in as many months with a 6 week gap with Absolute Domestic unsuccessfully trying to find a professional cleaner that has been on their books for 1+ year. From my experience their cleaners are students, people in between jobs and those seeking short term opportunistic employment. Although they are well trained and good cleaners when they turn up, it’s just that in my experience they do not see it as a profession, hence expect turnover. Four of the five cleaners canceled the day before the clean. I cannot fault the management team of Absolute, they tried, as they mentioned it’s a tougher employment market and it’s hit and miss in sourcing reliable cleaners.

BEWARE - THIS IS AS RISKY AS USING A STRANGER

BEWARE: This service is like letting any stranger in off the street. Our cleaner was useless which I can deal with but she also broke the vacumn and then ruined a $4k stainless steel fridge. My word against hers despite the cameras and they believed her and basically said too bad and wouldnt cover the damages. Disgraceful.

In relation to the vacuum cleaner, we were made aware of the damage only after the incident with the fridge was reported. I couldn’t be happier with my…

I couldn’t be happier with my experience with Absolute Domestics. I mainly believe this is due to being sent Honey as our cleaner. Honey has been cleaning for us for just over two months and I cannot fault her. Our house has never been cleaner or more organised, she is always efficient, on time and she is just a lovely person to have inside your home who will always lend an ear and pick up any adhoc tasks as required. Since having a baby we have struggled to keep up on daily household chores so Honey has been a godsend. Honey is polite, professional, accomodating and we look forward to having her clean every week. The little touches she puts on her work does not go unnoticed and I cannot rate her highly enough.
