Useless. booked in advance and were an hour late. Prevented me making other arrangements by lying telling me they were five minutes away. So stood in car park with 80 year old mum for 30 minutes. Driver and operator deny it was their fault. I hope they go out of business and uber takes over.

We've used A and B on numerous occasions and have always found them to be very reliable with excellent customer service and communication.
Had a driver called Steve who was very friendly and helpful.
Would certainly use again and recommend.

Review for A & B Cars Taxis
I started using A & B Cars when I couldn’t get an Uber in town, and to be fair, the taxi drivers themselves have always been friendly and professional. I’ve never had an issue with the drivers — they do their job well.

Unfortunately, the problem is with the communication staff. On more than one occasion, they’ve come across as rude and having an attitude. Booking a taxi should be straightforward — the role is to take the job, speak to customers respectfully, and make sure everything runs smoothly. When that basic level of customer service isn’t there, it reflects badly on the whole company.

I raised the issue and asked for an apology, which I did receive, but it doesn’t change the fact that this wasn’t the first time. It’s disappointing because the drivers are the ones who lose out when customers decide not to use the company again. The communication staff still get paid, but the drivers lose work.

After my last trip, even the driver apologised for the way things had been handled, but by then I had already decided to take my business elsewhere. We were using taxis two or three times a week, so that’s regular business lost. I called another local company and they were polite and welcoming straight away.

I don’t usually leave reviews like this, but customer service matters. If communication staff can’t treat customers with basic respect, it damages the business. Word spreads, reviews get posted, and people choose other companies.

I hope A & B Cars take this feedback seriously — better communication and respect for customers would make a big difference.

Waited to long for a taxi to even find a driver so had to walk home with my shopping at 930 at night not happy at all

I had a taxi today from Perth rail station to Alyth and it was a very enjoyable experience and fairly reasonable. The driver was very pleasant and helpful and I will definitely use them again in the future, 10 out of 10

Ordered a taxi on Thursday night at 20:30
I ordered a taxi from SS14 1PY to basildon train station to be picked up at 05:40
So I can get my train at 05:56 to fenchurch street so I can start at 7,am
This morning I

No notification that taxi would be late until 05:41
So I had to cancel the booking and took my bike to the station
I just made the train

I need a reliable taxi service to get me to bas station
This isn't the first time this has happed
Not happy with A&B
Feel very let down

Can't understand the point in booking taxi the day before if a driver isn't allocated to me for the next day

Usually A&B have provided a good service but I can't afford to get stressed out by Taxi's that don't turn up on time or don't get any messages at least 5mins before the arrival time

One consultation is I saved £10
And used up 500 calories

Thinking of changing my cab company

Pre-booked two taxis to pick up early hours of Sunday morning. One taxi turned up on time and the other would have been half hour late had we not have cancelled. When tried to call the phone line was all automated so could not even speak to someone. My partner managed to get them to call us back and they let us know they were at least 15 minutes away despite already being 15 minutes late. Had used A&B several time before with no issues but will not be using again as we were left at a location where we could not easily get a taxi hence why I had pre-booked.

A great friendly and helpful taxi service.
We use A&B taxis for all our airport trips as we found them to be the best for value and service in the whole of south Essex.
Drivers are always helpful and friendly and the cars are always new and clean and inside smells and looks fresh.
The call centre staff always help my parents when they call and I have used the app before to book and it was easy and quick.

Automated call service absolutely rubbish . Twice booked and car was late and went to wrong address. Asked for a supervisor to call me back , no one bothered

I have used A&B for airport runs for several years. They are 100% reliable, on time and pleasant to liaise with. Very helpful when we had a flight cancellation to the following day which affected our return journey.

Rubbish sent a small car for 4 adults and 4 cases. Don't seem to have any brains

Prepaid booking £30, journey normally comes to £23-26, driver's meter said it came to £24.20 but refused to give me change and claimed it was for his "Previous booking."

Driver was fantastic. So polite and made you feel really comfortable

Booked an 8 seater vehicle to take us (Family of 5) to and from Gatwick Airport and was very impressed with the service delivered by A&B.

The driver Lee arrived on time, in a clean and presentable vehicle and helped load the luggage into the back of the vehicle too.

Nice reminders via email and SMS from A&B made the entire process reassuring and gave confidence that our Taxi was going to turn up.
