At time of order, the website stated my order would ship on 11/27/2024. It didn't ship until 12/4/2024 and won't arrive until 12/11/2024.
We had our bathroom remodeled, and ordered from this company due to the ship date and arrival time. We could have ordered less expensive and better-quality blinds that would have arrived before 12/11/2024 from another site, but we use American Blinds because they would be here earlier. Well, that didn't happen.
When I reached out to customer service, I was told that they would not do anything and that shipping delays happen all the time.

I have ordered blinds from this company before and have always been satisfied. However, I believe the quality has decreased. I just got three new mini blinds. The brackets don’t fit the blinds. Instructions are poor and inaccurate. The wands are cheap and flimsy. Do not try to use a 1/16 drill bit, you will need a 1/8 drill bit. Are they trying to maximize profits by offering less quality products?

No returns for poor quality!
I ordered solar shades for my patio doors and they are awesome. So I thought I'd order cellular shades for my skylights. Big mistake. The directions are so vague, parts are missing and there are extra parts I have no idea where they belong. Tried to put one up today, worked on it for 2 and a half hours with no success. I called customer service and they were useless. Blinds are going in trash. Never, EVER, going to buy from this company again and will never recommend it to anyone.

I’ve ordered many blinds and installed them myself over the years. ALL of them came with mounting brackets that could be installed 3 different ways, through the top, side or the back of the bracket. The 1/2” micro blinds I ordered have a huge deep head rail with cheap proprietary plastic mounting brackets that can only be mounted through the top. They absolutely will not work on my windows. My window frames aren’t deep enough to mount the brackets (thus the 1/2” micro blind order!). I requested different brackets. They insisted that was not possible and told me it was my responsibility to check that the brackets would work before even ordering the blinds. This is unacceptable since nowhere on their website does it tell me to compare brackets to make sure they will fit before ordering. The best they would offer is to remake the blinds wider so I could outside mount with different brackets for only 20% off so I’d end up paying them 80% more for my order!
Not only that, but the snap on handles they include with the cordless micro blinds are too big and fall off so they’re useless.
The blinds themselves came with a BALI warranty and appear to be quality and the correct color and measurements. That’s the only reason I gave two stars instead of one.
Avoid this company at all cost because you don’t know what you’re going to get.

Good Budget friendly blinds
Good Budget friendly blinds, they arrive close to original due date. The only problem was that I received emails saying that the order was delayed by several weeks.
"American" Blinds-Made in Viet Nam!
I thought I was ordering AMERICAN made blinds but my shipping documents state they are made in Viet Nam. How is that an AMERICAN blind? I have not seen them yet, but it is false to call these American blinds when they outsource the production to a foreign country.
Poor telephone customer service
In the past, I have successfully ordered from American Blinds and had a great experience. This time not so good. My order was confirmed on 6/24. On 6/26 I was notified that the order would be delayed and the estimated ship date would be 7/10. The email included a link to check on my order. It has consistently said being made. On 8/5 I tried calling customer service and used the check link there. 7/26 was now the magic date. I then tried calling and requesting to speak to a customer service representative. The wait time was at least 30 miniutes. Unfortunately I missed the promised call back. On 8/6 8:45am Eastern time I tried calling again with the same response 30 minute wait time. I searched the website for an email or mailing address and couldn't locate either. I would rate the customer service line as not helpful.
Unresponsive
I ordered two blinds from American Blinds with the tilt adjustment on different sides of each blind.
Unfortunately both blinds were sent with the tilt on the same side.
On 4/18 I spoke to Kymelia Copeland and she promised to remake the one blind. I received an order number and had to submit a photo of the defective blind, which I did on 4/18.
On 5/8, I inquired about them receiving my photo but heard nothing.
On 6/14 I asked where the replacement was and Kymelia replied that they did not receive my photo. I indicated that they were at the bottom of the email and was told that they were not attached.
On 6/15, I resent the photo but no response.
On 6/25 and 6/28 I followed up again by email and no response from Kymelia.
On 7/8 and 7/18 I asked again about the replacement blind but Kymelia does not respond.

The blinds I ordered are nice and were a great price during the 50% off sale. The shipment was delayed quite a bit, but thank goodness I was not in a hurry to receive them.
TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION
If i could give ZERO stars and still leave a review, that would be more fitting for this situation. I ordered 3 custom sets of blinds on March 5th, I knew when i placed the order that the color I wanted was on back order but it said on the site that it would be back in stock on March 7th and it would ship out on March 14. On that day I received a notification that there was another delay and they would now not be shipping until APRIL 1st. No reason given. On April 1st, i reached out via their chat to get an update and was told that they were scheduled to ship that day and i would get an email with tracking within the next day or so. I never got an email with tracking so reached out again via chat and was told they would have to reach out to the warehouse to see if they had even shipped yet and would get back to me within 24 hours. I never received that update either. I tried to get on the chat several times and each time the next available agent time went up and up and up. Nobody ever came on. I reached out AGAIN this morning (4.4.24) right when the chat opened and was told again that she (the same girl from the last interaction) would need to call the warehouse and check and would send me an update at 12pm. its 230 pm, i have no update and the chat times are alarmingly high. right as i get on the chat at 230 & fill yet another person in on the issue, i receive an update email stating that it will take 2-3 business days to get an update from the warehouse whereas i was told i would have one by noon. They continue to tell me that shipping dates may change depending on production but at no point are updates about that provided to the customer in any capacity. I am just supposed to take them at their word and wait months and months with no recourse. The rep I spoke to just now informed me that warehouse requests take 1-2 days and then the warehouse wants an additional 2-3 business days to give an update? how is this okay? Nobody can tell me where my order is or when it shipping. Its perpetual runaround. I can understand the CSR only have so much they can do but the bare minimum should be the ability to tell me where my order is and when its shipping. Abe, Chelsea x2 and Brandon were all very nice and i appreciated them working with me through my frustration at the company. Brandon offered me 5% discount which will be of no use because i will never order from here again and when he said he sent in inquires to the warehouse, i got an actual email saying that he did which is more than the others did. BUYER BEWARE. if you dont have a timeline or dont mind waiting months for updates or shipping, then feel free. I would rather pay a little more with a reputable company than save a few dollars and deal with this garbage

I had been debating on trying some wood blinds from this company for several months. We have a 200 year old house with wood shutters on the inside of the windows. We wanted to take the top half of the shutters down and replace with wood blinds to allow easier change of light. We ordered 4 of them for one room to see if we would like this but since the promised delivery date had come and gone and it was weeks later I called the customer service number to inquire where the blinds were. The representative I spoke with said they had emailed me that they were being delayed and I confirmed I had received an email much earlier stating a delay had occurred in the materials but the promised date in that email had come and gone. The representative said in a very snarky way that they had emailed me about additional delays and the new expected date was weeks away from the day of call. I advised her I most certainly did not receive any such notice of an additional extreme delay and she pretty much called my a liar and said it didn’t matter it was delayed longer. Out of frustration and that fact I don’t like being called a lair I canceled this order which they said would take days to a week to get canceled as they needed to contact the company making them. I want to order from that company… I now am looking for another company to make what we want. Very disappointed with fulfillment and more so with customer service.
Edit- I saw your reply but if you read what I wrote we DID NOT order shutters from you. We ordered wood blinds to replace the wood shutters. This is why I don't understand why it took weeks and we still had not been shipped any blinds, since it seems thats a pretty standard item for you.
