The telephone appliance looks really good , it’s not been used yet as I got this for my mum who lives away from me so hopefully she will be able to now hear when i ring her !!

Struggling to hear
Installed for my 93 year old Mother as I purchased for Christmas. I bought it as her hearing is bad, she is struggling with the new phone. When people are talking on the handset it is harder to hear than with a normal phone. The only way she can hear is on speaker with the handset removed. The caller says it’s difficult to hear her so slightly frustrating. We’ve turned up all the volumes. Think we need more assistance as it’s not that easy based on the instructions.

Replacement phone for mum
Bought this phone to replace one my mum has had for nearly a decade. It’s very good though she does say it’s not as loud as the origional. All in all great delivery and the phone still is very loud compared to a standard phone.

Easy to buy online, really pleased with phone as it suits my 93yr dad in a Care Home. It's easy to use too. Amplified Telephones were efficient and kept me informed of tracking and phone arrived as arranged. They also followed up and checked all went well. Very pleased with service.

The phone is remarkable mum could hear clearly on it easily can see the keys and dial, excellent value for money and excellent customer service as I had to call with a query as I didn't realise there was no phone book as such so ,there are boxes to pre set and dial but mum wants loads as at 86 years old she didn't want to dial out the number manually,so ,sadly had to return it, I spoke to a very pleasant man and he gave me a return code , highly recommend this company absolutely deserves 5stars

Product was fine but the customer service is lacking. I paid for next day delivery but at no point did it say the cut off was 2pm at the point of payment and they were less than sympathetic, even though I called up immediately, refusing to reduce the £10 next day delivery fee to standard charges

We’d like to clarify a few details around your order. Our delivery information is shown on the product page under the Delivery tab, where we explain that orders placed before 2:00 pm (Monday–Friday) are usually dispatched the same day.
As your order was placed at 5:00 pm, this was unfortunately outside of the dispatch cut-off, so we weren’t able to guarantee same-day dispatch on this occasion.
That said, your order was promptly dispatched on 04/12/25 using the next working day service selected at checkout. The courier attempted delivery on 05/12/25, but as no one was available to receive the parcel, it was subsequently successfully delivered on 08/12/25.
Regarding the delivery charge, the £10 fee applied was for the upgraded next working day service you selected. As standard delivery is already free, there is no lower postage charge to revert to, and the next-day delivery fee was applied correctly based on the service chosen.
For this reason, we’re unable to offer a refund of the delivery charge on this occasion.
We apologise for any frustration caused and hope this helps to clarify the situation.

We are sadly very disappointed with…
We are sadly very disappointed with this phone for the following reasons.
1. The so called amplified earpiece is not very loud. It claims to be extra loud for the hard of hearing, but the volume is not any louder than a normal handset. The previous standard phone has just as loud. The volume switch is on the side of handpiece and we could decrease the volume and increase it. It's starts at a very low volume and increases to just standard. No use for my elderly mum who needs that extra volume to hear clearly.
2. As just said, the volume switch is on the handpiece so, when my mum does answer the phone she will hold the phone and sometimes put her hand over the volume switch, which will turn the volume down. Being elderly she is not aware of this. Causes real issues when we need to call her daily.
3. We are trying to get mum to use the hands free set up as this may be better for her as she is not touching the volume switch. But again this is not easy for an elderly person to remember or do. For an elderly person to remember the several steps to turn on and then off is challenging. Very disappointed as it claims to be good for elderly and hard the of hearing. It also cost over £100. We could have paid a lot less for a good quality branded phone, but decided on this due to the claims of high volume.
4. This phone is fine for a person who has no hearing issues, who is fit with no memory problems.

Our amplified earpiece can reach up to 30dB, which is around three times louder than a standard handset. The effectiveness, however, depends on the individual’s level of hearing loss, so it may not be sufficient for everyone.
The volume control on the handset is designed to return to its default level after each call as a safety measure, ensuring it isn’t too loud if someone without hearing difficulties answers. This means the volume may need to be adjusted manually each time a call is answered.
We understand this can be tricky, especially for elderly users, and the hands-free mode can help avoid accidental volume changes, though it may take some getting used to.

The voice amplifier does not amplify the lowest voice , it’s simply a microphone!
For the price it is very expensive and couldn’t be returned as it’s possibly contaminated with a bacterial infection

For the sake of clarity, we would like to address your claims:
As you confirmed via email, the microphone on the Voice Aid Amplifier has been used by a patient diagnosed with a highly contagious respiratory disease. Given this fact, your order cannot be accepted back under any circumstances.
The decision to issue a £20 gesture of goodwill refund was made in gratitude for your honesty, since we were unable to accept the contaminated item back. This partial refund was not an admission of fault regarding the product itself.
Regarding the device itself, The Voice Aid Voice Amplifier Kit is a personal voice amplifier that increases the volume of the user’s voice when set up and positioned correctly. It cannot, however, change the pitch or medical quality of a very weak voice, and we are careful not to claim that it will do so in our product description.
On that basis, we do not agree that the item has been falsely advertised.
Given the above, we stand by our decision not to accept the return and confirm that the goodwill payment offered fully resolves our commitment in this situation.
