I am a travel advisor with LuxRally Travel, and I wanted to take a moment to share the incredible experience I had working with Don Rogers at Railbookers/Amtrak Vacations.

From start to finish, Don was a total professional and a pleasure to work with. It is immediately clear that he truly loves his job! What I appreciated most was his genuine approach to my specific needs; he took the time to listen to my concerns regarding cost and worked within my budget, rather than trying to push unnecessary upsells.

In this industry, it’s refreshing to work with someone who genuinely values the relationship between a travel agent and their partners. Don treated my business with respect and ensured I was well-supported throughout the process.

Moving forward, any rail vacations my clients or I need, I will be going directly to Don Rogers. He is a fantastic asset to the Amtrak Vacations team and absolutely deserves a raise!

I worked with Nate Sullivan and Steve Mains to book a family trip. Both gave over-the-top superb customer service. They were extremely knowledgeable, thoughtful, and patient. They gave outstanding advice and they established my trust at the outset. Both of these gentlemen are outstanding and I consider myself lucky to have been paired with them. I did not know what to expect when booking an Amtrak trip, and these guys far exceeded my expectations. They made planning very easy. Thank you, Nate and Steve!

I had to make a change to a Grand Canyon itinerary. She collected the info and put me on hold to investigate. Then she came back with a solution, verified it, then put me on hold again to implement it. The call got dropped, but she called me right back. When she finally provided the solution, it was better than what she originally indicated. On her own initiative she got some of the change fees waived! Go Sammi! Thanks.

I spoke with Sammi Cain with Rail Bookers to update a client who was already booked and needed to make some changes to the itinerary. Sammi was very understanding and supportive of the transaction and handled everything very efficiently

I spoke with Kevin Helton today who helped me make some major changes to our booked trip from AZ to Washington, DC...from one way tickets to roundtrip with a different departure point. He was very informative and gave details about our trains and hotels that I hadn't heard before. I appreciated his patience and attention to detail. Thank you, Kevin.

Hilary was my Amtrax representative today and she was absolutely excellent in answering all of my concerns! She was super attentive, listening, and very patient, which I was truly appreciative for at my age!

I spoke with Kevin of rail bookers dept. He addresses my questions and request in very professional and competence and he also very courteous.

Kevin was very helpful and offered his own experience on the same trip to show me options to do at the Grand Canyon.

Sammi Cain was a very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable representative. She was great !

My issue was resolved very quickly and Kevin was knowledgeable about what was going on

Kevin was excellent at checking with Amtrak to make sure that our trip had been canceled. Once he found out that it had been canceled he was very good about changing our reservation to the next day.

I booked a trip via Amtrak with Joanne on 01-27-26 for a trip to the Grand Canyon. Once I got into our itinerary and checking out the hotels and trains, I noticed that on the leg to and home we were in Seats instead of the bedroom we wanted. Called on 01-29-26 (2 days later as Joanne was out of the office) and spoke to Sammi Cain and she explained that yes, we were booked the entire trip either in a hotel or bedroom on the train. Very reassuring, because my itinerary stated otherwise. She stated that once my actual trip documents were sent to us (trip is in September) the documents will show just that. So, I wait to see if all comes together as we planned. Sammi explained in such a manner that the non-railway traveler could understand.

Hilary was very helpful today with some client changes. I also spoke with Colleen when booking the trip and she was extremely knowledgeable. They have a great team in place to help with every need!

My trip was cancelled and I thought I lost it. The agent, Victoria, was an Angel! She was SO compassionate and helpful. She actually seemed to care and that is something we DO NOT find with customer service anymore. If I could send her a dozen roses I would, she deserved it!! She seemed like she truly sympathized with my situation.

We paid for washington, dc to san-antonio texas.
We purchased travel insurance.
We got to chicago and all amtrack service shutdown due to a satelite connection issue. The mean angry bureaucrats (yes that's a swear word) offered no info at all for HOURS!, an ETA on repair was unavailable, no info available regarding what happens when the system starts working - could we even make the trip south? "NOT ON THOSE TICKETS!!" was the response ... we had travel insurance so we took a taxi to the airport and then flew to san antonio.
Upon returning home we files all documentation as directed with the insurance company and contacted them by certrified return receipt US mail and phone - no meaningful reply, no refusal, no payment of claim - NOTHING, just no response.

Contacted AMTRACK directly to help - the said you did not buy your tickets from us, so no refund. Also, they claim to have no influence with AmtrackVacations or the travel insurance company.

We were just "out" of several thousand dollars

I worked with Hilary on Jan 6 2026 to make changes to my clients' upcoming autotrain travel. She was friendly and helpful and worked to get the problems resolved. She was professional and polite, I would gladly work with her again. Thank you Hilary for your help!

Hilary was very efficient and took care of my every need, including going beyond and taking care of an unseen issue.

Victoria went over and above to help with my Amtrak vacation to Glacier National Park. She was courteous, thorough, and professional in her help. She makes me love Amtrak vacations even more 💯
