Great company, definitely recommended. We had some really useful pre-install chats with Ian that really clarified what we wanted from a system. We thought initially just solar but we installed solar and a Tesla powerwall.
It’s been in for a few months now and we think it’s great - so I can write this review having actually had time to use the system. We use very little electricity from the grid now and what we use is on the overnight tariff. Even in cloudy Manchester we generate decent amounts of solar - this really took off as we went into spring and we now export to the grid in the day as we generate far more than the battery can store.
Roofers Roan, Joe L and electricians Jimmy and Joe J were all lovely.
(We even got a ‘green energy cash incentive’ from our mortgage company once we’d installed solar)

Apex Doma rock - period.

After countless hours spent researching which company to engage for our Solar installation, we finally engaged with Apex Doma and we are so glad that we did. From initial contact with Ian (your YouTube videos helped immensely) and Leigh who provided a thorough breakdown on the available options to meet our requirements and the girls in the back office to final installation today, this company have seriously delivered.

It has been such a long time since coming across a company that knows their stuff, turns up on time, does an amazing professional installation with no mess, constant communication and ultimately offers ongoing customer support going forward. This was apparent when another guy (apologies, I can't remember your name) turned up this morning to check the install and make sure everything was good.

And a huge shout out to the guys that attended our home. Charlie, Dan, Matt, Joe, Jimmy and Owen - you are all a credit to your profession and such well mannered, polite and courteous young men. Thank you all.

Brilliant proactivity throughout the process made this journey an enjoyable one.

I have had a great experience with Apex Doma for my solar and battery installation right the way through the process. I initially found them on You Tube whilst researching for one of the products I had been quoted for ( Sigenery Sigenstor), very informative and no sales pitch. After looking at their web site and doing some other research I arranged a call and spoke to Ian. I had a site serve done by Adam, again still not pushing for a sale. From the people I spoke to in the office to the installation team Matt, Joe L, Owen and Leigh. Everyone was polite and kept us informed of what would be happening and when.Great team and a great company to business with.

System installed ahead of schedule. The team was polite, friendly, and professional throughout. People often say “you get what you pay for,” but in this case Apex Doma set the benchmark for exceptional service.

They were very professional & friendly. From the initial home visit by Ian right through the installation. The installation team Tom, Matt, Owen, Joe, Jimmy, & Charlie were brilliant - Nothing was too much trouble, and any queries post installation were carried out smoothly & efficiently by the office staff. We had solar panels and a battery installed. Service was excellent throughout, from initial discussion through to installation and handover. Great communication and all staff were polite and professional. Really happy with the solution and quality of workmanship.

As usual, totally professional and helpful. I am an existing customer, but wanted to upgrade my system. A comprehensive discussion with Ian (no questions of mine treated as being silly) and we agreed on a configuration. Installation happened quickly, and was again meticulous and tidy.

APEX Doma Ltd took the time to listen to my needs and concerns, and because of that they were able to provide a system that genuinely suited us. They offered clear advice and options throughout, and I always felt they were a considerate and trustworthy company. They talked me through each stage of the process so nothing came as a surprise.
The workmen arrived on the agreed days, were polite, carried out a professional job, and left the site neat and tidy.

Apex Doma were a fantastic company to deal with from start to finish and couldn’t be happier with the install. They were communicative and responsive at all times, and took pride in their work.

I have just had an extraordianrily helpful telephone call with Ian Pownall re my proposed pv system and I would have no hesitation in recommending him and Apex Doma. He was prepared to take the time to listen and to explain things clearly; I hugely valued what he had to say

Sales process
- excellent, a 45 min zoom call takes place where you are took through the whole process and how it all works specifically for your property ( sun predictions etc) - chance to ask questions etc. They also have loads of you tube videos you can watch. No sales pressure like a lot of other firms. About a week later, an in house surveyor visits the property and discusses options. I particularly like the way the design the system with you in mind rather than just giving you a generic set up ( like most firms). I did loads of research on solar installers and I got a good feeling from these guys. I get the impression that this industry uses lots of sub contractors who will be hard to get back if things go wrong afterwards but am confident that the only work Apex Doma sub out is the scaffolding. Not the cheapest but you get what you pay for.

Installation
straight forward, scaffolding up on Tuesday, roof work Thursday, PW installation and commissioning Friday. The team Matt, Liam, Charlie and Owen were spot on. Very professional and tidy and obviously love the work and tech. I particularly like the fact that Apex Doma are employing a couple of young lads and teaching them a decent trade.

Again all done via YouTube videos, explaining how app works, available tariffs, how to get best out of the kit.

Overall.

Would recommend, lots of dodgy firms out there, no the cheapest but as I said earlier you pay for what you get.

Initial Contact and Site Survey was great, Ian couldn't do enough.
Would recommend the Staff on site they were excellent, very work orientated and tidy.It was a Pleasure to have them at the address.
Administration, I can only say,a little hit and miss, pleasant staff, but didn't always follow through with promises and I had to chase a number of times.
All together a good experience. Remains to be seen how they respond to any issues or advice along the way.

Great service all round from start with Ian to finish. The team that came to fit the solar panels and batteries were excellent. Very tidy and courteous whilst on the job. The team was Liam, Charlie, Joe L, Joe J, Jimmy and also Emily at the office was very helpful with my post fitting queries. I would recommend Apex Doma to anyone. In fact I have already done so.

I followed APEX Doma for sometime now on YouTube. Their content on all things solar and battery installs, are educational & well balanced.

It was because of this, I approached them for a quote to install a Powerwall 3 expansion pack. Ian was brilliant when we first spoken. There was no hard sales push, more assurances and guidance, along with a fantastic quote, a quote which they price matched after showing them prices from other installers. But I really wanted to go with APEX Doma, due to my confidence in them.

Installation was done within weeks of getting a quote. The communication throughout was second to none - first class. Or what I call when talking of my own standards I want to achieve in my professional career, ‘Best in Class’!

However, after they left site, I shared the work on a Facebook community group for Powerwall owners in the uk. Though the Powerwall expansion pack was fully functioning properly, the connection cable, according to many was somewhat unsightly. I saw this for myself once people raised it. I couldn’t unsee it.

Now this wasn’t really a huge issue, more so me having high standards, and many people in that particular group are strongly opinionated in a healthy way. We all want a good looking set up.

A negative can become a huge positive!

I approached this with AD, Ian and his team and sent in photos of the work carried out along with a proposal of how I’d like the connection cable to run so its aesthetically pleasing to look at.

APEX Doma, agreed it could look better and today, they sent the manager of the installation team around to personally put this right. They replaced a 2.5m connection cable with a 4m cable and spent a few hours, not rushing, aligning the cable so it’s neat and tidy. Liam the manager took genuine pride in getting this done perfectly. This was all done at no extra cost.

I wish I could upload a picture to show the work as I don’t think this review does them any favours without showing the fix.

Long story short, companies are never going be 100% perfect, however, it’s how they react when a customer flags a concern.

There was no resistance from them whatsoever and I felt hugely valued and respected. I now know, that should something go wrong they’ll have my back.

Don’t see any part of this review as negative, read it as reassurance that this company works to the highest of standards, and when something isn’t right, they’ll hold themselves accountable and will bend over backwards to look after their customers.

Having said that, I better pay their final bill now :)

Another positive point, they’ve been great at not wanting full payment until resolution had been met. Not once have they applied pressure on me for final payment.
