Apex Rides is a British fitness platform offering immersive indoor cycling classes through our connected app and community. Founded in 2018, Apex originally launched with its own smart bike and has since evolved into a more flexible fitness experience built around compatibility and accessibility. Today, the Apex app connects with any FTMS-compatible Bluetooth indoor bike, giving members the freedom to ride using a wide range of third-party equipment at home or in the gym. Members can access thousands of live and on-demand rides led by expert instructors, with classes designed around music, motivation and performance. The app includes real-time ride metrics, leaderboards, structured training programmes and performance tracking to help riders stay engaged and consistent. Classes range from high-intensity performance rides to lower-impact sessions, beginner workouts and endurance-based training, with fresh content added regularly throughout the week. Members can also filter by music genre, instructor, class length and training style to create a more personalised fitness experience. We’re continually investing in the Apex experience, with regular app updates, new class content and expanded compatibility across connected fitness equipment. At Apex, we believe people get better results when they genuinely enjoy their workouts. Our goal is to make connected fitness more motivating, more accessible and easier to fit into everyday life.

I have been trying to cancel my subscription now since May and have not yet been successful. Very difficult to communicate with anyone who is able to help.
New to the spin bike scene. Have a road bike but was offered this bike. Bike feels good and app works ok. My only problem was the bike wouldn’t connect via Bluetooth. Had to delete the app and reinstall the app for it to work. My only bit of advise a can give to apex is you need a customer service contact number. As messages and emails can be very slow. Have been dealing with Lucie and managed to get the problem sorted.
Don’t do it! It honestly isn’t worth it.
I purchased a bike in 2022 and it failed within the warranty period. Apex asked me to allow access for their engineers to fix it and after 4 attempts (where they either didn’t show, failed to order the right parts of failed to fix) it still wasn’t working.
During this time they promised not to charge for membership (as I couldn’t use the bike) however they still did!
Over a year later they finally agreed to send a replacement bike which, unsurprisingly, is faulty also. I notified them and they offered to fix it at cost to me. I reminded them that it’s within warranty and they finally sent a replacement part. The problem is, the engineers haven’t bothered contacting to arrange a visit and despite asking numerous times, they will not offer a refund, or even provide their complaints policy. No one will respond to you - all they want to do is take your money and ignore you if there is a problem.
The product is poor, the service is even worse.
Don’t waste your money as well as your time. It’s been over 2 years now and for only circa 8 months of this time (if that) have I actually had a bike I can use.
Dealing them is more exhausting than a workout!
Love the look of the bike and it's good see classes are back up and running again.
I ordered a bike at the start of 2024, it arrived and the service was great, however, after a few rides the pedal stared clunking and I could not use the bike for any cycling out of the seat. Apex sent out an engineer the fix the issue, they also sent out the wrong parts so when the engineer visited they couldn’t fix it. Then Apex decided to send me a new bike (nearly 2 months had passed at this point) the new bike arrived however, it had a worse fault than the first and I wasn’t able to ride properly - they sent an engineer out again however this time the engineer advised the bike frame had not been welded correctly and so it could not be used at all. At this point Apex offered to send out another bike however given this experience I requested a refund and returned the bike. This whole experience lasted for around 4 months and in the process of delivering the bikes part of my property was damaged which hasn’t been sorted by them. So sadly I wouldn’t recommend Apex - the customer service is good but the build of the bikes is poor - I’ve now invested the couple extra 100 quid and got a reused peloton, which comes with set up as part of the price - something Apex refused to offer despite me asking given the continuous back and forth I was facing.
The classes are so fun and I love how the app connects with my bike!
Love love love my Apex bike!! I’m able to exercise whenever I feel like it, whatever I look like!! Love trying to beat myself, gives me the motivation to do better each and every time which is the only way I improve. My fitness levels have definitely increased since starting. Would highly recommend.
We have received the bike a few months ago and it originally was an awful racket of a noise when attempting a session. It did take a lot of chasing and a lot of videos being sent to Apex, they finally a technician to come and fix it, where he used a electric screwdriver to tighten (which the instructions say not to do). Once it was working, the classes are good, I like the instructors, the app works 80% percent of the time (I have had to uninstall twice to get it to connect to the bike again). This could be a great app and a great bike, it just needs better support, and possibly better equipment to make the bikes last.
I had an extremely disappointing experience with APEX. From the outset, their services and support have been subpar. I urgently needed assistance for a charity event and reached out to them, but their response was slow and inadequate. I had to follow up multiple times, and I'm still waiting for an answer to my second question. It's frustrating that they don't have a customer service phone number.
Furthermore, the quality of their equipment is highly questionable. I transported my bike securely, with only the handlebar and seat dismantled, yet the sensors failed to work after this minimal movement. This suggests that the product is poorly made and not robust enough for practical use.
Due to these numerous issues, I decided to cancel my membership. The entire experience has been frustrating and disappointing. I would not recommend APEX to anyone looking for reliable equipment and responsive customer service.
Sadly, buy cheap buy twice
Great bike. Looks stylish. The classes are brilliant. I love the move classes that use weights. Total body workout done!
After being away from the app for a few months it was hard getting back on the mindset and rhythm.
The good is still good but the bad is also still there with a few exceptions.
The really bad: Android users still get to use a subpar version of the app while paying the same price, with the promise of an update being as old as my 2 year subscription. Linked to this, Android users also still don't have access to live classes.
The app itself still enjoys the same insufferable glitches that will void the whole session points at the end of a session by not recording it or simply by refusing to start, having to reinstall it every other week.
The really good: Duncan's return. Without wanting to offend the other trainers, he's simply on another level in terms of engagement.
The good: Healthy amount of instructors, variety of class types and difficulties for everyone. The latest faces to the team over the last few months are fun and a nice change of pace.
And I have to give it to the bike itself, after over 2 years of intense usage it still runs pristine only needing one minor adjustment throughout that time.
The better: Costumer service is more responsive which seems to be linked with better team stability. Long seem to be the times where they would just disappear from the face of the Earth whenever there were rumours of financial turmoil.
Overall, the technical aspect of the app is still very disappointed with the human aspect of it always fighting to keep it afloat. Though I'll never be able to give it a negative review as this app and bike gave me back my self esteem and fitness and by extension helps my mental health a lot.
Amazing bike and classes. I have a Garmin watch and this sets a target for exercise that I was rarely meeting but since getting my Apex I'm achieving this every week easily
I had an issue where the bike lost its connection to the rpm and power due to the magnet inside either failing or falling outt of its fixing. The bike is just over one year old and only used a few times a week so was a little disappointed when told it was out of warranty and would cost £110 to fix. I asked could I do it myself and was charged £10 for the part and sent instructions on how to do it which were clear and simple. However when following the instructions the screw heads just stripped. I contacted customer service again and they told me the screws were spring loaded and I should have applied pressure whilst loosening, but to send photos and they would see what they could suggest. I sent back photos and said that I followed the instructions they supplied which stated nothing about applying pressure. At this point I am still waiting for an update from Apex but the bike has been out of action for a month now so not very hopeful. I love the bike and the instructors, it’s just a shame that the technical side isn’t as strong.
It’s great value and I love the app. Duncan is a legendary instructor and it’s a minimal setup that allows me to remain on top of my fitness regardless of how busy life gets.
Bike arrived well packaged and was easy to assemble. Classes are plentiful, varied and challenging. My only gripe is that the bike is quite creaky, I've tightened everything but to no avail!
I’ve been a member of Apex rides for over 2 years now. The bike is really good value vs. Competitors. I enjoy the live classes and there is a wealth of on demand classes too.
I am really enjoying my Apex rides-there's plenty of choice for classes and instructors on demand which is how I use the bike. Setting up the bike is really straight forward & the instructions are clear. I know there was a period of time when I thought it was going to close but they really have come back fighting & it's so much better. I totally recommend Apex-the instructors are great & there really is something for everyone. If you've never done anything like this before there are beginner classes & even a couch to 1 hour series building up stamina on the bike.
A blast on the bike is the perfect way to end a day at work or start my weekend.
I totally recommend Apex-give them a go, it won't disappoint!
Good customer service and efficient response. Got back to pretty quickly with a query I had on my membership which got sorted instantly.
In my 20s I would always cycle multiple times every week. Now in my late 30s, family, work and life limit my spare time.
Apex means I can aim for three classes a week and be happy with achieving two. Love the classes, the variety and instructors. Always want to come back for more.
Apex rides are the perfect at home workout. I bought by bike in Jan 2022 and never looked back! The classes are varied and the interactive bluetooth (levels, RPM, leaderboard) keep you motivated. The classes (particularly Emma and Duncan’s) got me in the best shape of my life for my wedding and now Duncan has returned I’ll never go back to the gym!
