I ordered a poncho from Aran Woollen…
I ordered a poncho from Aran Woollen Mills and it's lovely. The quality is great which is what I was hoping for as, at £75, it wasn't cheap. What didn't cross my mind however was the exorbitant return costs that would apply as the company is based in Ireland. When I decided to return the poncho and exchange it for another colour, I was emailed by Customer Services to say that the best way to return an item was to buy a £25 return from FedEx which included custom charges. As lovely as the products are, I won't be buying from them again as a £25 return charge makes it totally unfeasible.

While we are currently unable to offer free returns as a small business, we are constantly monitoring shipping costs and will continue to work towards offering reduced return costs where we can. We have recently worked to reduce the UK returns cost to £17 to make this process more manageable for our customers.

Je suis ravie de première commande sur ce site : 2 pulls irlandais de très belle confection, que j’ai reçus très rapidement, soit 3 jours après ma commande. Ces pulls sont chauds, doux et de très belle qualité, à l’identique des photos montrées sur le site, que je recommande. Je commanderai mes prochains pulls chez eux car ils sont de meilleure qualité que certains sites français vendant des pulls en pure laine dans des tarifs plus chers.

I've now bought five(!!) jumpers from Aran WM over the past year. I stay in the very cold NE of Scotland and these jumpers are...sooo cosy!! Every single jumper I've bought is A+++ or, put another way, about 11ish out of 10. Beautiful crafting, so well made, and the natural wool scent when they arrive is truly gorgeous. Utterly perfect, ladies and gentlemen at AWM. And btw, ignore the eejit who said the woollens are made in China! This is Irish crafting at its finest.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We would like to clarify that over 85% of our products are made in the west of Ireland. A small number of items are designed in Ireland but produced overseas due to limitations in our in-house capacity for certain types of knitwear. Each product page clearly states whether an item is “Made in Ireland” or “Designed in Ireland.”
Even for products made outside Ireland, we invest significant time and craftsmanship into the design process, and all wool is ethically sourced. We work exclusively with skilled knitwear manufacturers who uphold strict ethical production standards.
