Challenging Tenancy
I have worked with Gabriela at Aspire on a tenancy that has involved rent arrears and a rent and legal claim. The situation has been complex, and while communication has improved as the case progressed, there were periods where updates were limited and required follow-up.
That said, Gabriela has been helpful in progressing the matter with the Rent & Legal team, and the claim is now moving forward with the insurer.

absolute splendid work from Luke, due to high winds a tree fell straight onto my prestigious gnome collection in my garden, called Luke in desperation, super glue in hand, he was running olympic speeds to my house ready to fix my gnome collection, he came skidding through my front door and superglued the tree straight back to its roots with one arm, with the other, effortlessly superglued my gnome collection back together, 10/10 would recommend this gem of a man

Not impressed
Aspire ended up taking over the property which I was renting privately from when the landlord decided to sell with us in it. Having aspire as managing agents was all good and dandy until something went wrong. We was left with a broken floorboard in the bedroom for almost 4 months before we ended up finding somewhere new to live. We chased on numerous occasions but no one ever came to visually see nor repair. Upon leaving the property we were sent an unexpected email asking us to pay the final months rent, even though we had been paying a month in advance like many places do… it took a recorded phone call and an informative email for this to be spun around as an ‘error on the system’ but just think how many people may have fallen for that? Poor poor poor customer service/ management service.

We appreciate that Aspire Properties took over management partway through your tenancy following the landlord’s decision to sell. Regarding the broken floorboards, we understand from your detailed explanation that this was a longstanding issue acknowledged by the previous landlord, who unfortunately did not carry out the necessary repairs.
Since Aspire Properties took on management, we have made efforts to address the floorboard problem by instructing works to repair it. However, we regret that the contractor let us down, leading to an unacceptable delay in resolving the issue. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and frustration caused by this.
We also want to clarify that while we cannot be responsible for previous landlord comments or actions, we take full responsibility for managing repairs and maintenance from the point we took over, and we are committed to ensuring that outstanding issues are rectified promptly.
Regarding the unexpected final month’s rent email, this was an error in our system rather than an intentional charge. We apologise for any confusion or stress this caused and are glad that, once raised, it was promptly corrected.
We take feedback like yours very seriously and will use this experience to improve our processes around maintenance tracking, contractor management, and communication during tenancy transitions.
Thank you again for bringing these concerns to our attention, and we wish you all the best in your new home.
