As an IT professional who has dealt with numerous Internet Service Providers, I wholeheartedly recommend Aussie Broadband to all my clients and customers.
Their customer support is refreshingly straightforward, informative and doesn't beat around the bush. Unlike many providers, they're genuinely focused on delivering better outcomes rather than simply palming you off or defaulting to "it's your home Wi-Fi setup."
To give you an example: I recently switched a client from one of Australia's largest ISPs (you can probably guess which one). Their modem was fried during a thunderstorm power surge, it literally wouldn't turn on. Simple enough, right? Apparently not. The internet service provider refused to sell them a replacement at one of their retail stores (not even replace for free - the client was willing to pay full price for a new modem) until they'd gone through technical support to "determine if the device was faulty or there was a fault in the line." We're talking potentially hours on the phone to confirm what was already obvious. The client also reported to me that they were experiencing fast speeds after the switch as well. Which is always a bonus!
What many people don't realise is that NBN services are wholesaled to ISPs, meaning speed and reliability issues are often outside an ISP's direct control. What sets Aussie Broadband apart is how they handle these situations: they actually work with you to identify and resolve problems rather than hiding behind excuses.
After years of dealing with frustrating support experiences elsewhere, it's genuinely nice to recommend a provider, that supports local jobs (their support is 100% Australian based) and by and large does it better than everyone else.
Missold twice in a week
I switched the Aussie Broadband for faster and more reliable internet and it has so far been a disaster. I was first sold the Eeros 7. I specifically asked about 4G backup and was told it was really simple. Two days after connecting our NBN was down all day and I discovered that you need to be on the WiFi to connect a backup which obviously renders it useless.
I then spent 4 hours on with customer support and was told that the NetComm was the only one with 4G backup. I agreed to buy that having specifically asked if it is as fast as the Eeros and assured it is. I've set it up today and found that the satellite actually reduces our download speed which is the opposite of what it should do. I've again spent hours on with customer support and they've told me that it is old tech and much slower than the Eeros. I've therefore been missold twice in a week by Aussie Broadband.
Not helpful
I was really hoping to get some assistance from Aussie broadband. In the past i have found them to be helpful and caring. My experience today was quite the opposite. The girl didn't seem to want to help me at all.

Great Prices. Great Internet. Even Greater Customer Service.
Aussie Broadband helped swapped me over to them seamlessly and efficiently after TPG cut my service while still stealing money from me. After a couple phone calls and a free FTTP upgrade, my internet was back up after a month of no service from TPG, and the speeds and connectivity were great!
No dropouts, no outtages, no modem crashing itself after they gave me one of theirs for free!
Absolutely woeful customer
Absolutely woeful customer service on the telephone. I was 76th in line when I called them the first time. After over an hour I just gave up. 'Only' 17th in line the second time and when I spoke to someone they had to transfer me to another section and I was put in another queue.
My issue was that my new SIM got lost in the mail.
Connection speed vd premium price
Connection speed is now down to about 10% of advertised speed.

It is turned off more than it's turned on, it is the most unreliable dogshit internet service I have ever experienced. DO NOT BUY
I paid for upgrade
I paid for upgrade, bought the maximum plan and speeds couldn't even reach 20% of it at my house. Got billed massively for the callout and upgrade fee. There is no significant reduction for doing mobile phone data + home internet package. Then not long after the internet kept dropping out since the upgrade, and then completely died no internet and I have been billed well over 1k in 3 months for nothing of value!
Absolute worst. Worse than dodo, twice the price. Lost so much work.
Absolute worst. Worse than dodo! Paid $99 per month for 10 months. Consistent outages. When no outage it is slow. I have lost paid work, had to withdraw from final year online university units and have been unable to fulfil volunteer work commitments for a not for profit due to the constant lack of service that i paid for! Months and months of it, kept thinking it would get better, it has only got worse. Currently on hold 43 mins as so many people are experiencing the same.

Been with Aussie since 2018, great service up until now. Huge drop off in response time and service quality. I have wasted hours trying to get a hold of them for support over the past 3 months. The live chat support takes days before you get a non answer response. They have been unable to help reduce drop off rates so I have decided to take my business elsewhere. I messaged support asking to cancel my membership, I was told I had to cancel over the phone. Ended up waiting 15 mins before I could speak to someone to cancel my account.

Impossibly inefficient company to deal with. Try to talk to someone about what is happening and they cant help and cannot transfer you to anyone who can. Can only do a written complaint via the operator
Customer support gives up too easily
Reported ongoing internet issues and was immediately told they couldn't see any problems on their end. Rather than investigating further, support just gave up and suggested it must be my equipment or setup. No real effort to diagnose or resolve the issue. Extremely disappointing service when you're paying for reliable internet.
