Lack of good will.

Customer service can't help us have this EXPENSIVE drone work. Generic answers is all we get... They told us to write to the support/feedback team to suggest an update or ask for further help. Did that 3 times and never heard back from them. Can't seem to reach out to someone by phone, only emails! Looks like the only option would be a gimbal platform costing several thousands of dollars... pathetic.

Had a issue with the touch screen on the controller from day 1. but was replaced by Autel under warranty. It took some time (6 weeks from when recieved at repair center) for the warranty but is resolved now. Overall happy with Autel

Dirigeant d'une entreprise de formation dans le domaine des drones civils depuis 4 ans, et responsable formation pendant 10 ans dans le même domaine, j'ai souhaité apporter une autre solution que DJI à mes clients. Autel robotics il y a quelques années était une bonne référence. J'ai donc commandé un evo lite 640 T sur le site Allemand pour obtenir la conformité C1. Échange avec le service client avant la commande pour m'assurer de la conformité. À leur dire, aucun problème, j'effectue donc la commande. Le lendemain j'ai un e-mail de leurs services m'informant qu'à cause de rupture de stock le produit serait envoyé depuis la chine, que je devrais payer des frais de douane et qu'ils seraient remboursés (ce que j'accepte). Je m'assure au préalable que le drone reçu est en accord avec la réglementation européenne, soit un marquage C1, et que l'interface puisse s'adapter à la localisation pour pouvoir entrer le nᵒ d'identification à distance nécessaire pour ce type de classe (FRAXXXX-XXX).
À réception, le drone fait bonne figure, cependant aucune identification de classe, impossibilité dans l'app d'entrer l'identification directe à distance (pourtant indiqué dans le manuel utilisateur). Prise de contact avec leurs services, obligation de payer pour recevoir l'étiquette C1 et service technique qui confond le signalement électronique et l'identification directe à distance.
Demande de remboursement, service commercial qui tourne autour du pot pendant une semaine et demie. 1 mois pour percevoir le remboursement du drone et des frais de douane et j'en suis de ma poche pour les frais de retour du drone (une centaine d'euros avec assurance).
Entreprise à bannir, service commercial désastreux, service technique qui ne maitrise pas ses propres produits et la réglementation EU. Restez chez DJI ce sera plus sûr ;)
Never buy an Autel product
Never buy an Autel product, I bought one of their X-Star premiums when they first came out. At first, it was an awesome drone, but then they started putting out bad updates, which basically ruined my machine. Then they had the balls to tell me they didn’t care what it did to my machine. That was the last update they were gonna do and they weren’t investing any more money in that platform. Basically told me to go pound sand after I spent $900 on their drone. On top of that, their batteries would die in the middle of a flight, almost causing me to lose control of the drone. I was a big supporter and unfortunately got several people to buy them. I should’ve never done that. That was the first and the last drone I ever bought from them they will never get another dime of my money. I have since owned about DJI drones and they’ve all been great. This company is ran by a bunch of clowns. Hopefully they’ll go out of business. They have no business building drones and their customer service sucks.

Purchased a new Evo Lite+
Purchased a new Evo Lite+. First flight out while hovering, the aircraft flew off and crashed into a hillside, breaking the gimbal shock absorber. Before the fly-away, the gimbal was not holding the camera level. At the time, there were no nearby obstructions and the GPS signal was strong. Winds were also calm. Autel had me send the aircraft to them for repairs. They repaired it but then charged me $240.00 for the repair. All they did was replace the shock absorber.
I inquired as to why the fly-away occurred through email and by phone but was never given an answer. I have enough experience with drones that I am certain it was not pilot error. Giving Autel the benefit of the doubt that maybe this particular model had some nuance of which I was not aware, I made it clear in my emails and voice messages that I didn’t care if it was my fault, I simply did not want a repeat of the event.
On the third flight after receiving my repaired aircraft, it flew away again. And again, just before the fly-away, the gimbal held the camera at an angle out of level.
Reached out to Autel and was advised that the aircraft was tested before being shipped back to me. No help this far in getting the problem resolved.
Maybe Autel normally manufactures quality drones, but they need to own up when one of their products is defective. So far, that is not the case.
Too bad as I was hoping they would be a viable competitor to DJI.
I would definitely stay away from Autel.
I am updating this review. After a bit of time (about two months) and back and forth, Autel did replace my defective drone with another unit. They also provided a new carrying case (that I did not purchase) and because they sent the new unit with a battery, I now have an extra battery.
First flight out with the new unit went well. So cautiously optimistic.
Still only 3 stars because of the time this took and the fact that I still paid for repairs on the first unit when the damage was not my fault.

Brand New Autel Evo Max 4 N Nov 2024 ....Out of the box the drone and handset didn't connect ! ...2 weeks of BS from Autel resolved nothing, eventually returned to UK agent, 2 weeks to fix. 2 flight later, same thing again....1 week of BS from Autel, back to UK agent.... 2 flights later same again....
Customer "service " is abysmal… they agreed to replace it…. Then didn’t answer emails. Now they are saying it is out of stock and won’t give a date for replacement and refuse to return payment.
Had the drone just over 3 months ….flown it 4 times…the rest of the time it has been out of action or back with the UK Agent .
NEVER , EVER by a drone from this shower…I don’t have a good thing to say about them…

We purchased a EVO II Dual 640 T Enterprise Bundle V3 for $5688. I was bringing it down due to low battery but it still had 18% battery and there was a glitch or something and it shut off from about 45 ft up and fell. This resulted in the camera being broken and several other things. I called in to Autel as it is under warranty. I explained to them what had happened and they told me that it was under warranty and to ship it to them to get it replaced or fixed. After they had received the damaged product, they would not warranty it and wanted me to purchase a new bundle. I called them to ask why they were charging me because they said they would warranty it and they informed me that they were not going to warranty it because I bumped it up to move it away from a tree while bringing it down to switch batteries. Like I mentioned above, it still at 18% battery when it shut off. So they called it a “pilot error” and refused to warranty it. I offered to pay for them to fix the damaged parts as I already have the whole kit and they refused. I asked if I could just buy the drone as I already have the remote which they had in their warehouse that could be programmed to a new drone and they refused that as well. I questioned the representative about several scenarios in which they would warranty it and it basically came down to that they wont warranty anything even though it is advertised that they will. They also advertised that the drone will go 9 miles when I could only get it to go 2 miles with no obstructions between me and the drone. I asked the representative why that was and he told me that the remote transmits 9 miles but it wont fly 9 miles. Don’t waste your money or time with this company.

Very unprofessional customer service
As described by some other customers here, I can only advise against buying from this seller. My problem was that my parcel was sent via DHL but could not be delivered due to incorrect address details. The parcel was returned to the sender. Customer service responded in a rude and unprofessional manner. He blames me for not having taken out additional insurance. I have never experienced anything like this before.

Do not waste your time buying an Autel Drone
I am writing this 100% true review of Autel Robotics drones. They have reneged on their warranty and refuse to repair my Autel Evo II Enterprise V3.
I was flying my drone on an estate one night, when I picked up a thermal signature on the ground. I hovered the drone and began to lower it towards the heat signature to get a better view. The Gimbal (camera) was pointing directly downwards as I lowered the drone to observe the lowering. As it was nearing the ground it collided into a tree. Now, this tree was NOT at all visible on the camera, and the anti collision failed on the drone. This drone’s vital parts; the gimbal and anti collision both failed to alert about the incoming tree! There was nothing I could do to avoid colliding with the tree, as it was not visible on the camera.
We sent it back to Autel UK repair centre, and after a couple of weeks I received the below:

The above shows they are avoiding responsibility, and insisting we pay to repair the drone, despite the collision occurring because of failure of drone vital safety features.
Please I urge anyone thinking of exchanging money for an Autel drone, to think again. They are a disgrace and an absolute mickey mouse company. Crucial safety elements of the drone WILL fail and they will charge YOU, the cost of repairing the drone, instead of accepting liability and repairing it under the warranty.
You will be massively out of pocket if you buy an Autel drone.

Boycott Autel, DONT BUY ONE
Starting my campaign to boycott Autel. No one should buy their products, Until they start selling repair parts. The company holds you hostage once you buy their product. Something they fail to tell a customer. The i-diots there offered me 10% off, What a joke, seeing they already had my $1,000 drone for parts. All I needed was 3 small parts, and they wanted $800 to send me another drone. What a rip off. I believe these i-diots don't even repair drones, they swap them out. This is like Tesla in the early days, not selling parts. Total BS. If I had known this deceptive practice, I would have never purchased a Autel product. TheMachinewon on you tube or @ Hot mail.
Ok birds, crap service
I have 2 of their birds. I like the No Geofencing but have have problems with the company. My first drone an Evo II Pro had camera issues which they never fixed and charged me $500 for what should have been a warranty repair. I recently sent sent in a Nano+ for minor repairs which they wanted to completely replace for more than retail cost of new. Come to find out from 3rd party repair places that they are had to get parts for difficult to work with. I was told DJI is much easier to get parts for and so also easier to repair. Looks like back to DJI for my next Mini

Stay well away orded my autel evo v3 on Ebay got a tracking number for DHL then two days later it says unable to deliver and was been sent back to the shipping company the drone never even left hong kong. Was given a another tracking number for fedex and on checking it just says label has been created been like this for 2 weeks now. All in all they have my money and I have no drone please stay away I'm staying with DJI.
Evo Lite + AF Problem.
Just bought the evo lite plus. The auto focus is totally useless. Customer support says it's normal after sending them photos AF vs MF. If it was not for not having geo fencing, I would trash it.

7 months ago I would have given them 5 stars. But with a lot of companies that sell a great product, their customer service is the worse ever. I purchased the evo ii 8k rugged edition, they had a factory refurb for 250 less like new so I bought that. Then tried to by autel care, to find out, even though they factory refurb it like new, you cannot buy autelcare on a refurb. Tried to return to buy real deal, you cannot return a refurb unless it is failing. No worries I’ll just be careful. I gave my dji to my son because this drone is light years ahead of dji in every aspect. Then one day I get a beep and it landed all on its own m, emergency style wherever it could find, fortunately it was nice soft green grass. When I powered it off and back on the camera flipped around backwards in gimbal and just shook . I googled it, a lot of people had that issue, like a blade of grass is stuck in gimbal or something. Most people in internet said they sent it in and autel fixed for 1 service hour like 120 or so. I got a case number which took a month because I seem to have fallen through the cracks, then they responded quick after that. They gave me shipping instructions and in there it stated 3 times to be sure you ship with gimbal cover or they will charge you for one because they will never ship a drone without cover.
This was march 2023. I sent it in, a month later I get an email saying good news pay the attached invoice for 779.00 and we will have you back in the air. F first off in the month leading up to this I sent 3 emails inquiring if they received drine no answer.
I asked if they had attempted to fix gimbal or are they shotgun repairing it by replacing it? No answer then I asked specifically what was wrong, apparently gimbal suffered catastrophic event and can in no way shape or form be repaired. I kinda got heated about it and was told these are professional technicians and I am not being charged anything over the cost of the part. The 510.00 gimbal somehow is now 779.00. I asked them if autel products are made from baby hummingbird eggshells because it seems fragile. Apparently if you say that you will be ignored for several months. They claimed over and over this was all in USA except all emails are in Chinese and English and replies all come at 2:00am so seems like maybe customer service is in china. So in late august they finally responded to my request to return it, unrepaired. I sent it in big box with remote bubble wrapped and drone bubble wrapped. September 5th I receive my box when I open it, all my bubble wrap was gone except for 1 small piece and drone and remotes are just sliding around bumping into each other and joystick is jammed into gimbal WHICH HAS NO COVER. So they totally disrespected my drone because I declined their repair. Interesting enough the rough ride home freed up the backwards gimbal which is now functioning ok. However my camera is now messed up from the sharp metal on the joystick jammed in it. I contacted them again and they treated me worse than before. Ignoring my first 5 emails then I get one asking me to kindly calm down and how they upgraded my call to the appropriate department. ApparNtlt thete is a department for trashing customers equipment. And keeping their gimbal protectors . After many more emails telling me they are getting the receiving and shipping manifest and at the end they ask or tell us how to make it right, i said at this point just send my cover back so I can send it to a real repair facility. They just send me a tracking number on October 12. And said sorry if we disappointed you, your cover is on the way. Ugh I want to hate them so bad, but their drones are so nice.
