Fantastic event. Couldn’t be there the full weekend but what I was there for was amazing. Looking forward to next year and many more events like this. Great job Backyard team.

We attended the Port Stanley weekend festival and had the best time. Every artist was incredibly talented, the venues were beautiful and everyone involved with Backyard Music Co. Worked so hard and put on a fabulous weekend! We cannot wait for the next event to attend

Loved the intimate atmosphere and that they didn’t oversell the event. The entertainment felt personal and special. I’ve never heard of an event such as this in our area and would love if they came back. It was such a hit for us and a great Father’s Day gift to my husband. We’d love to hear more music from Scotty his storytelling was our favourite.

What a great experience! Music, location, and people were an incredible vibe. Musicians were amazing. Venue was serene. A perfect evening. Exactly what we needed to boost our spirits to finish out our workweek.

Props to Backyard Music Co. For relocating the performance indoors because of increment weather. Smooth transition and communication to make sure the show went on! Intimate setting to enjoy the talented artists, it was a wonderful night all around 🎶

I really enjoyed each performer describing his story behind his music. Kiwi deserves kudos in providing a relaxing atmosphere for the performers. Most performers were quite enjoyable - I wish I remembered their names. The first, but hopefully not the last such venue.

My 2-star review is no reflection on the artists or the Kiwi hotel. The music was beautiful, the artists were talented, and the staff at the Kiwi were fantastic. My disappointment is with your marketing of the event. It was promoted as an "afternoon of surprise songwriter rounds" plus a "songwriters round at sunset" followed by a "grand finale electric full-band performance bringing together all the artists." It sounded like an incredible concept. But what it turned out to be was a duo in the early afternoon, a duo in the late afternoon, and a duo at 8 pm. So why not simply market it as such and avoid disappointment for your guests? Communication was plentiful prior to the event, yet at the event, there was no listing of your talent lineup, and no communication about an apparent cancellation from the band that was supposed to perform at 8 pm. We would have really appreciated if you took the mic and explained the situation. Instead we were left wondering what was going on. I'm a business owner too. I never misrepresent what I offer, and if something goes wrong that's beyond my control, I communicate with my customers and offer some sort of compensation. A basic rule for any business is to deliver on your promises. Unfortunately, despite enjoying listening to the artists, my husband and I left the event feeling dooped. Kudos to the talented artists who performed and to the Kiwi Motel for creating a sweet and inviting atmosphere.

It was a complete misrepresentation of what was to happen at the event. We paid $60 per person and expected a full afternoon of performers but saw 2 only. Apparently an act cancelled because they had to perform at a wedding?? There was no list of the acts who were playing or info about them provided. They advertised that at 8:00 pm there would be an electric show with all the musicians performing. That didn't happen either. All musicians had their guitar cases open asking for tips. Made us wonder what Backyard Music was paying them. The whole thing seemed disorganized and was very disappointing.

It's such a neat idea. I love the more intimate feel. As someone who does not like crowds, this is my kind of event. I think it would be worthwhile having an event tent, because whether it is rain or intense sunshine, many of us have a need for shelter. That would be good value for the price paid.

It was a nice low key evening appreciating music and talent.

The venue was a fabulous place to host these great artists. The music was fantastic and the story lines were interesting. The duo was engaging and entertaining. We enjoyed the evening very much and would go again in a heartbeat.

I took my tired rancher husband who usually gets elbowed to wake up when I take him out for longer than just a nice supper! He had no trouble staying awake and he really enjoyed himself. Scotty and Matthew were professional and engaging.
I enjoyed the music, the atmosphere and everything they shared.

This event was so neat , I was so excited to go. I scooped up tickets as soon as I could. The venue was amazing , we love the hitching post. I wish the music went on a little longer , with more audience engagement . I would have loved a little more story telling from the performers . That being said they were still great artists! Would go again !

Venue at Sidelaunch is good, but the setup for the performers was terrible. They were not on a raised platform that allowed easy viewing of them. And, more importantly, they were situated against the outside window and thus were just silhouetted for more than half the show. There were no lights on their faces. They might as well have been on the radio. The musical quality was low side compared to what i saw at many Nashville locations. I would not attend this event again if the same performer quality and situation were expected.

This was an awesome night out! The song writers/performers were very talented and their stories were so interesting. We had a great time and didn't want the night to end.

Incredible voices & talent, and an intimate experience getting to hear the stories behind the songs. Get there early to grab a table to relax & enjoy this special evening & format!

Wonderful night. Singer song writer listening room or writers round are so amazing. As someone who loves music it’s a dream. Love them in Nashville loved them in Collingwood.

The music was great! The artists are very talented. I was discouraged that it was supposed to start at 730 and did not start until after 830. I went knowing I could not stay for the full show due to the late hours but wanted to enjoy as much of it as I could. I only got to enjoy an hour of it because it started late. Due to this, I would not buy tickets again.

What a fabulous idea to showcase talented musicians and their original music at venues that would otherwise miss out! We thoroughly enjoyed Kelsi Mayne and MackMartin--they were fabulous and so much fun!
