British Academy of Interior Design Reviews 

So far, I have found that I am learning so much from the course. I am a complete novice, so it has been a big learning curve for me, but there is a lot of information to support me and my studies.

As a novice, it can feel a bit overwhelming to move from the learning elements to the actual assignment, which can often feel like a big jump, especially when there are no examples to reference.

The best update during the course was the introduction of the 'tutor feedback' step before submitting an assignment. For some of the bigger assignments, especially, it felt like we were producing a large volume of work without really knowing if we were on the right track until we submitted and discovered where we were going wrong—getting a fail was a bit demoralising. Therefore, this new step has helped the process immensely.

Tutor feedback and the live video calls (I would love more of these per unit!) are invaluable to the learning process and have been so helpful.

It would be great to have more learning elements per unit, too. The written elements provided are good but it would be great to have a mix, as everybody learns differently. Perhaps more video content or even live lectures that can be accessed via Zoom, etc.

I have only just started this course and I’m working completely from home. The enrolment process was straight forward and I have been allocated a tutor, Catarina Viseu, who has been extremely helpful so far and quick at responding. Thank you Catarina!

I do enjoy my studying experience with BA of Interior Design, so much to learn, but really deep understanding for sure, worth it.

I gave this course 5 stars last year, but after 1.5 years, I feel I need to adjust my rating to be more fair. I’m in my second year of the Higher National Diploma, and while the tutors are amazing and super supportive, I’ve realized that’s not enough on its own.

The self-study structure doesn’t always align with what’s expected in assignments. Every assignment requires a lot of research—pages and pages—and sometimes, even that isn’t enough. You have to dig deep for fine details on your own, which can be overwhelming. The practical side is there, but not as much as I expected—I'm on Assignment 9, and while I’ve done some hands-on work like plan drawings, it’s not as extensive as I thought it would be.

My advice after 1.5 years:

Start small. Don’t jump straight into the Higher National Diploma. Try a smaller course first, and if you feel comfortable, then go for more.
Make sure you have time. If you can’t dedicate at least 4 hours a day, this course will be a challenge.
Be ready for independent research and writing. If that’s not your strong suit, it might not be the best fit.
If you’re dyslexic, think twice. The amount of reading, writing, and self-directed learning can be tough.
It’s a solid course, but it’s important to know what you’re getting into!

Having been passionate to divert into interior design,BAID was indeed the best option amongst all and right from the inquiry all been smooth, the IN charges have been helpful and flexible with timely responses-Joao F was so helpful when i inquired about the course and encouraged me as well,and i was so impressed with all the payment options available plus a free decision to drop out with 100% refund after 1/2 lessons should one feel like not anymore though not me-The thursday online classes are so beneficial,the moderator is really nice and brings it all to reality,My personal tutor Catarina has been so helpful as well and understanding amidst this transition.so far so good and i would definately recommend anyone to take the chance.

At the start of the course, the tutor wasn’t helpful, which made me lose interest. Now, with my new tutor, Catarina, things have changed. She has been fantastic, answering all my questions and making everything clearer. Thank you Catarina, I finally feel like I’m making progress with my assignments!

I highly recommend to take the course in British Academy of Interior Design. The tutors and the student service team are very supportive. They gave me prompt replies to answer all of my inquires. Especially thank you for Andrea actively reached out to provide the supports to make sure my study process is going fine, that is impressive. And the student support team is very brilliant as well, they are always helpful. In general, every staff from British Academy of Interior Design is very professional and the course values are much much higher than the course fees so I gave 5 stars in here.

From my point of view as HND Interior Design student at BAID I would give 5 stars for the well-structured course and very organised resource library. I have chosen a classroom-based course, and I did enjoy my classes because my first-year lecturers Rozan H & Samuele V were always willing to help students and provide guidance. And my second-year lecturers Daniela E & Jamila F were exceptional, their teaching style is interactive and engaging. Also, I am very grateful for my tutors Joana L and Catarina V who evaluated and provided formative feedback for my assignments so far - as their detailed constructive feedback guides me to be on the right track and clearly understand my gap. Overall, I recommend the course for those who are very organised and committed to a self-paced course as more is expected from the student to further develop knowledge and all assignments needs attention to detail.

The course is well laid out and guides you through which is helpful for beginners. Would definately recommend this course.

The team and Student services at BAID are extremely supportive and understanding. I have had a positive experience every time I have contacted the team. They are always happy to help and prompt with their replies. Really enjoyable to interact with nice people throughout a (self) challenging course!

The Q&A session I attended was very helpful. I was able to ask my specific questions about the unit and the tutor responded fully and shared additional information to help with the assignment. It is a shame you cannot attend multiple sessions while you are working on the project as sometimes other questions come up later on. However the tutors are on hand for you to email.

Course is thorough as it covers all aspects including CAD. However lessons can feel rushed as there is so much to go through
