Very poor. Avoid. No mention of custom charges on website or at any point in the sales process. This is false advertising. Going to cost me an additional 30% to get it released, which makes what is just a dice of wood very very expensive. Avoid this business

If purchasing from the UK be prepared to pay an additional 30% on the advertised purchase price due to customs duty, a clearance fee and import VAT. E.g. on my order of £329.60, an additional charge of £96.28 was due. When making a purchase on the website this is not made clear, nor on the confirmation e-mails sent by the company. They simply state it is for us to know this in advance and not within their control.

It would be helpful if they added a qualifying statement that the order "may be subject to local taxes" when a customer is making a purchase (and not hidden on a different webpage) so as to be clear to the customer. I would expect this from a premium company such as this.

NB - I have amended the review to increase star rating because after further engagement with customer services Balolo did kindly agree to pay 50% of the charges due.

The whole experience with Balolo has been exceptional.

From designing my cockpit on the website to the surprisingly fast delivery (I'm in Italy), every step was seamless. The self-assembly was straightforward, and once set up, the quality and customisability of the product made a real difference.

I am very pleased with the Balolo monitor stand that I received a fortnight ago.

When I unpacked the parcels, the stand and the catchall tray looked as beautiful as I had seen on the website. The wood is of very good quality and good looking.

I ordered the products on a Sunday and received following Saturday.

Have a neat and organized desktop is very important to be productive. That was my objective and it is now reached ;)

I am thoroughly impressed with the quality of Balolo's products. Looking at my home work space, it needed better organization and cable management. Searches brought up BALOLO and I decided to give them a try. I was thoroughly impressed with the build quality and sturdiness of the cockpit. What I also like is the ability to customize where the accessories/add-ons can attach to the cockpit. You can set it up in so many ways that suit your needs the best. Can't recommend this highly enough. It has helped make my space organized, cleaner and me more productive.

I bought this shelf because I did not find an equivalent in terms of quality and accessories. It is also very design and beautiful. I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. Very good product with a very easy assembly of accessories. Everything is provided. One regret, that it is a little expensive but what quality that makes forget the price. I had been considering buying this cockpit setup for a few months. It seemed like an ideal solution, offering all the necessary tools for my gadgets with great quality. However, the price was quite high for me, so I looked for alternatives but couldn’t find any that met my requirements.

Eventually, I decided to go for it. I ordered the setup, and it arrived just two days later – really fast delivery. However, when I unpacked it and placed the main board on the table to assemble, I was shocked to find that it was wobbling. The board was warped, with one corner lifted about 3 mm off the table, making it unstable.

I contacted support, and they advised me to leave the board for a few weeks so the wood could stabilize over time. After researching the topic, I found that for thick layered wood, it’s almost impossible to return to a flat form (assuming, as support suggested, that the warping was due to temperature or humidity changes during storage or delivery). So, I requested an immediate replacement, and my request was approved.

A few days later, I received the replacement board—and guess what? It had the exact same issue. I attached the feet, placed my monitor and laptop on it, and while the weight made it somewhat more stable, it still sat mostly on three legs instead of four.

At this point, I decided to keep the setup, but be aware that for 300 euros, you might receive a warped board.

As I continued assembling, I found that a bolt was missing for the MacBook dock. I contacted support again, and while they quickly sent a replacement, it was frustrating to deal with another issue in a supposedly premium product.

Final thoughts on the Balolo cockpit setup:

✅ High-quality metal parts and well-processed wood
❌ Warped plywood for 300 euros
❌ Missing bolt for an accessory
✅ Fast and helpful support, quick delivery

P.S. Of course, in daily usage, it doesn’t bother me much—it’s not wobbling during work. But the first impression and overall image of the product were ruined.
I waited two weeks before writing this review, and the problem is still here. The weight still rests on three legs, and the wood hasn’t stabilized.

I never thought a monitor stand could make such a difference. My desk is pretty small, and it was always a mess. The Balolo Setup Cockpit Monitor Stand has completely changed the game. It's freed up so much space – I can actually fit my keyboard and mouse comfortably now! The stand itself is really well-made, it feels premium and looks great. I was worried about stability, but it's rock solid. If you're short on desk space, this is a must-have. I'm so glad I invested in it. Product 10/10!!!

I purchased a large Setup Cockpit Monitor Stand with a few accessories. It’s completely transformed my workspace. The quality is absolutely top notch. And further to that, the customer service I’ve received has been swift, efficient, thoughtful and considerate. I couldn’t recommend Balolo highly enough!

DO NOT BUY FROM UK!

I spent over £200 on a medium cockpit and accessories from Balolo, only to discover hidden customs charges. As a first-time customer, I wish I’d read the reviews before ordering. To make matters worse, the items are being held by customs, and I was never informed about this at any point. I had to email the Balolo asking why my orders is delayed to learn this.

Balolo's response? Email customs and sort it with them... Absolutely unacceptable

The company deliberately hides this information deep in their website and doesn’t disclose it upfront during checkout. No product quality is worth this hassle. I won’t be buying from them again and will warn others in the UK to stay away from them.

It’s unreasonable to expect customers to dig through a company’s shipping policy every time they shop in their local currency. Their generic, unhelpful responses only make matters worse. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!

In deciding to upgrade my workspace, I hoped to not only get a bit more organized but also create a more polished space that matched with my current aesthetic. I reviewed a number of companies and competitors but ultimately was intrigued with Balolo's price point, their modular system, and the apparent quality of their products. Of course, it's always a bit of a gamble buying something online if you've never seen or touched that product in person. That being said, I reviewed a number of reviews, videos, photos etc and ended up feeling pretty confident that I was getting what I paid for.

Upon receiving the product, incredibly fast btw, my expectations perfectly aligned with what I received. The wood is beautiful, everything is machined precisely, and the modular attachments are a thick gauge powder coated steel with precise edge folds and custom bends. Setup took a solid 20 minutes and the attention to detail by Balolo is evident throughout. I've got nothing but positive things to say about their products and in this instance, you absolutely get what you pay for.

Fantastic product, great marketing, and great post purchase follow up. I highly recommend this product, it is very high quality and the modular aspect allows anyone to customize it to their desk needs.

I bought the large setup with some accessories. I’m super happy with my new setup. The quality is amazing, you can adjust your settings quite easily and make it your own!

I bought the large setup Cockpit and mouse pad and am quite satisfied with the products, as they are sustainable, made from good materials and compliment my room decor. I am definitely buying from them again in the future as well!

I was looking to create more space on my little desk and still have some luxurious, yet still quality, feel about it. Once I stumbled on Balolo I saw the possibilities.
Thanks to the large cockpit I could keep my 27" monitor and install a second 15" monitor on a tablet mount and also create a place for my desktop speakers.
Beneath the large cockpit I now have ample room for other stuff or just keep it nice and clean.
The order process was very simple and straightforward as were the specifications of each item and optional piece. After the order process you are kept very informed about the production and shipment process.
Thanks to their build quality and packaging it will arrive without any scratch.
I am so happy for my creative (photography and 3d printing) and gaming environment that we immediately ordered a similar setup for my wife's desk.
