As a regular M&S customer getting their credit card was a no brainer - the revamped rewards system is exceptional and the only reason I score 4* is due to the change in the payment process which is messy and time consuming if you don’t bank online

I am generally satisfy with M&S card, However the recent update on the website left me rather confused by the changes it took a while before I felt confident to navigate. I think I am okay with it now for example the clarity of the statements.

I had problems opting out of digital statements despite requesting to continue with written statements. As a result I missed a payment for the first time in many years. This cost me nearly £40 in late fees and interest.
I now receive written statements and have have requested that the bill is paid in full every month.
I am glad to say that all my problems have been solved and I am happy to continue using my M&S credit card.

I wanted to get a credit card that was interest free for an extended period, the M&S card fit the bill. I wanted it to pay for an apartment in Orlando so I set up the payment on Booking.com to automatically pay a few days prior to our stay. I was elsewhere in the USA when to my horror Booking.com notified me that when they attempted to take the money off my M&S card, the M&S credit company wouldn’t pay the apartment fee as they claimed it could be a false payment. So Booking.com messaged me to say that my payment had been withheld and that if payment was not made by 09:00 the next day they would cancel my apartment and I would incur a full rate charge for cancellation. It was 10pm the night before and I was very stressed. I phoned Booking.com and paid them directly from my bank account, so problem sorted after 90 mins of panic. The thing was I had notified M&S of my upcoming visit to the USA and clearly they still failed me. I found later on the holiday that payments were being accepted. Clearly very disappointed and will never us M&S credit cards in the future.

Applied forM&S Rewards Credit Card late February early March with a promise of £25 for joining. Approximately two months later I phoned customer service taking well over 25mins to talk to someone,they agreed to look into it.I have had no reply. In May I receive an email stating that I have done what it’s necessary to receive the £25 once I receive an email with a pin number, to date I have not received any emails giving me pin number’s 😤. NOT MY IDEA OFF EFFICIENCY OR CUSTOMER CARE.

I wanted to increase my credit limit by a small amount and I found this process increasingly difficult with M&S. I was told I had to download the banking app which I don't use so I phoned again a few days later and asked to speak to a supervisor. The person I spoke to asked me so many questions, even to the point of asking how much my house was worth, that I almost gave up. I've never defaulted on any repayments over many years and I really felt their attitude was certainly not customer friendly.
