Really happy with my experience at Barnstaple equestrian supplies, Excellent customer service in shop. The team were very knowledgeable and made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. Highly recommended.

Order placed 13th April 2026 in the evening, as stated on their website orders are dispatched within 5 working days by the 22nd April (7 working days later) i still had not received a confirmation that it had been sent, that same day i received an email after i rang to chase the order, stating that they had not received it from their supplier and would not be receiving it for another 2 working days but was assured that it would be sent out same day or on the Saturday (25th) by the 27th i still had no conformation of it being dispatched. Back on the phone to chase yet again to be told it will be sent out directly by their supplier as they still had not received it, at which point I was furious as at no point during the ordering process did it say that I would have to expect such a long wait. Most disappointingly I was the one constantly ringing for updates. The lack of communication was appalling. I ended up ordering from another company, it was dispatched same day and within 24hrs was in my hands - exactly how it should be! I was offered a refund on the postage charge for sending back the item which I have sent proof of and am still waiting for. If you want to be utterly let down then this is the company for you but if you would like a quick reliable service good lord use anyone but Barnstaple equestrian.

Bought 2 x Gallop hybrid stay dry fly rugs,1 6ft6 for my mare, 16hh id/tb and 1 6ft for my connemara pony, 14hh and a bit wide! These rugs are excellent quality 1200d waterproof bit that goes right from poll to end of tail flap then rest fly sheet and has elasticated leg straps. They were best price online,customer services were helpful when I asked a question re sizing. I've mentioned sizes of horses etc as hard to know what fits as all brands seem different,so may help others to decide.

gillian fitted my hat and boots amazingly, she showed me what types of boots at hat would suit me better, i was in the best hands. it was a pleasure to have my riding gear fitted by her. She 100%knows what she’s doing.

I love coming up to barnstaple equestrian supplies. Gillys always very helpful and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Ive been shopping there for ages now and they have a great selection of decent stock or will order what you want if not available.
Ive always left feeling happy and satisfied that mine and the horses needs have been met.
