Super happy I found Brendan at Beacon Financial Training to help me study for my CeMap exam. His online coarse is just like being sat in a classroom with Brendan guiding you through the landscape of the Mortgage & Property market. Brendan made this coarse ultra enjoyable with his calm, precise, and with his occasional humorous teaching style really brought CeMap to life which made studying a pleasure. I currently work as a self employed protection adviser, but wanted to get the CeMAP done as quickly as possible so I could get on the road to providing a more complete service.

I'd heard the best thing to do was look at the approved providers on LIBF as I knew it was best to have a trainer and I didn't want to be resitting because of poor learning.

I'd heard some negative reviews about some of the other providers but nothing negative about beacon so I got in touch with Brendan on LinkedIn to enquire.

He sends out paper copies of his workbooks which have hundreds of mock questions in, plus the content has been simplified as the main textbooks are a bit bulky.

I did the live online courses for all modules which was great as I could ask questions there and then. I then watched the recordings to revise. He also sends mock papers for each module.

I managed to pass all 3 exams with merit passes and distinctions in every module, in 6 weeks with no resits. I've got a young child and still have a business to run but I managed it!

I would highly recommend beacon financial training- I'm so happy I decided to use Brendan and can honestly say he is brilliant at what he does and provides a fantastic service.

Brendan is amazing his videos explain everything in such a clear and concise way that sticks in your head so well.
He is always on hand to answer any questions you have.

I used Brendan for support to complete my Cemap which I have now successfully done. I was a distance learner and the online tutions were great, the supporting material helped with the understanding and got me exam ready. The responsiveness of Brendan was standout - Responded almost immediately which is important when you are at a point where understanding of a module is required. He also helped my wife pass her exams as well!

I started my cmap study by using simply academy…. Not only did I fail my exam but I paid double! Beacon financial training is amazing! I booked my exam and gave myself 6 weeks using beacons video training and I passed first time with a merit! I’m now onto my 2nd exam study with confidence. Brendon is an absolute miracle man! I did classroom based courses for CEMAP 1,2&3 and passed first time with distinctions and merits. 100% couldn't have done it without him. I couldn't recommend enough!

I used this site to help me pick this course as my preferred study material for my CeMap 1.2 and 3 so I feel it is important to give my review to help others choose. I chose the online course to fit in around my full time job. Having tried to study before for this qualification with a thick uninviting text book I gave up after a week. The way this course is delivered is in manageable chunks that you can pick up and put down as your life dictates. I took 12 months but I had a life set back but I do believe you could manage this in just a few months if time allows. I don’t find learning easy but the way this course is presented it is easy to understand. The course is great value for money and I feel like I know Brendan personally after listening to his voice for so many hours and a few back and forth emails to ask questions. I’m based in Scotland and was worried that it wasn’t a Scottish course but there is paper supplements for the differences in Scotland, (not more than a few pages but all you need)

My tips I have learned would be.

Set a study guide of when you will do each section and you are more likely to stick to the schedule.

Register for your exam early as the online slots choices were weeks apart at my centre to get days to suit my work. Having the exam set for a date gave me focus to work towards.

The exams are 3 x 2 hours and after 2 hours you are drained. I wouldn’t do more than 1 set of exams per day.

I passed first time on all exams with merits and distinctions.

I started my CeMAP studies with Beacon in June and passed all 3 exams, comfortably, on the first attempt. The study material and the way Brendan provides context and breaks down each topic is second to none. The LIBF send study material as part of their exam registration fee but it provides little context and is difficult to digest. Brendan’s knowledge and experience of what questions are more likely to appear than others in your exams is invaluable as it gives you a head start on where to focus your studies. I couldn’t recommend Beacon enough to anyone looking to get into or further enhance their knowledge of the mortgage industry.

Excellent Course
I have done two courses with Brendan, in classroom and one remote. Both were excellent and allowed me to pass CeMAP first time with distinctions and merits on all papers. Brendan's training was focused and practical and delivered with a personal touch

Managed to pass cemap 1-3 first time round. I’m a procrastinator so I have been putting it off for years and would never have studied it in my own time after seeing the books. Brendan managed to squeeze a years study into 8 days and whittle down about 1000 pages of information into relevent bite size and easy to consume sections.

I started my CeMAP course (remote) in July 2023 to help with my career change into finance. I really liked the remote learning as I can go at my own pace while working full time. I managed to pass CeMAP 1 fairly quickly but due to back to back family bereavements I had to take a break. However, I managed to get CeMAP 2 and 3 finished thanks to the remote learning facility. Brendan was always there to email if I had an issue, which I didn’t have to use too much. I have now got my first job with a major UK bank, which I career changed from telecommunications. Thanks again, I would definitely recommend Beacon Financial training!

The CeMAP course from Brendan at Beacon Financial Training was fantastic. Videos that were easy to follow and understand which you can watch at your own pace along with questions to test your knowledge and mock exam papers. Would recommend to anybody looking to take CeMAP exams.

Highly recommend Beacon financial training, Brendan has been amazing throughout the whole process and extremely helpful always answering any questions I had. Cemap 1,2&3 can be overwhelming but Brendan does a great job of simplifying it all!

I am really enjoying the CeMAP course—it's excellent! The content is thorough and well-structured, making it easy to follow and understand. I have successfully passed the CeMAP 1 and 2 exams and now just have CeMAP 3 left to complete. The instructor, Brandon, is very knowledgeable and provides great insights throughout the course.

Additionally, I appreciate the supportive and responsive nature of the course. I had an issue with accessing the 12 case studies mentioned in the course videos, and Brandon was prompt and helpful in resolving it.

Overall, this is a fantastic course, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to pursue a career in mortgage advising.
