I often find myself have to wait multiple hours between each response (note that I am australian), atleast on the discord tickets. It's not very laggy, backup slots are good, one of the only hosts ive found that will have a 7950x, but the support is really slow and that's this hosting's main weakness.

It's also obviously a small company, website often has typos and wrong info, but m not the type to really care about that.

Wish I could leave a 3.9, but 🤷‍♂️

EDIT: They eventually delivered most of the components that were mentioned in the invoice. But I never received the pre-installed hardware configuration what was agreed on in the beginning (custom server (Ryzen 7950X, 128GB DDR5, Custom KVM)). Mad took most effort to get it eventually sorted. Rating changed to 4 stars. In the meantime they reorganized the business as far as I can tell which improved their core business.

Where to begin.
I'm the founder of RustOutlaws, a community based for the game "Rust". We have over hundreds of players online each day. In Februari 2023 (Important), I was looking to expand my community and I stumbled across BerryByte. Mad (The Founder) was very kind to me and I decided to let them build me a custom server (Ryzen 7950X, 128GB DDR5, Custom KVM) so that I can use this machine to expand my rust community. As I am based in Europe, Mad suggested me to build the server in the UK, as CosmicGuard (The provider BerryByte uses) was also renting rack space to BerryByte, for me this was a win-win situation as I was able to get a server build in the UK and also Colocated in London at DDCL where BerryByte's rack is located. I have paid around 1750-2000GBP in total for all the parts.

Here is where all the problems start, from the first couple of weeks, I found out that there is only 1 employee in the UK that builds these servers. His name is Simon. Simon barely has any time to work on the server, so this is where all the delays began. I was told it was going to take a few weeks until the server was ready. That was fine for me until I was suddenly announced that almost all the hardware components were faulty. I was aware that BerryByte was selling me hardware that was previously used for another companies build, but they told me it was never delivered to the customer (in this case brand new) and it was laying in their office waiting to be used in another build. After more weeks of delay, we decided to replace a lot of parts, partly BerryByte paid for these components, but I also have paid a lot for these components. Eventually Simon couldn't get the Build done as he wasn't able to do a complete diagnostic what is exactly at fault. First the Motherboard was broke, we replaced it, then the CPU was broke, we replaced the CPU and I paid 250 euros extra as it was "Simon's CPU". Afterwards, the RAM broke as well. Only 32GB is working out of the 128GB RAM at this very moment.

After a lot of discussion, we eventually decided to send this broken server back to my Country so I will continue to fix this server and remove this burden off Simon's Chest. Now due to Simon having no time at all to send a server back to Amsterdam which takes around 30 minutes of his time, I've been waiting for more than 4 whole months to get this server delivered to me. I already gave a lot of gratitude by telling Mad that I will continue this build instead of asking for a full refund and all I'm getting is just more and more delay. It literally takes 30 minutes max to ship the server to a store but for whatever reason it's not possible. Now I was told it can be done "Next Week". I've been told numerous times it will be delivered on "Set Date" and it has been delayed at least 10 times in the time span of 4 months. This review had to be written to make it fair for both parties.

Conclusion: If you want BerryByte to build you a server, please don't get it done in the UK, they only have 1 employee, he isn't able to make a working server and you will only get a minimum of a couple months of delay until your server arrives.

I honestly can't give any rating higher than 1 Star at the moment. I'll be changing this review once the server is delivered. If this review gets somehow removed, you'll know what BerryByte stands for. I hope The team will take a look at this review and get this order done soon.

I've been running my Minecraft server for almost a month now, and I needed to install a custom extension. They were super supportive and responsive, we were able to sort that out almost immediately. The control panel is very good, and the server has no lag at all. I'm very happy with them so far :)

A extraordinarly good panel, Valid Hardware, A bit high cost but everything has a meaning, The host give a VERY HIGH level of power, FAST but literally VERY FAST customer support.

Amazing, they are helpful and helped me transfer server from one host to another without any issues.

Hope to keep hosting with them my server in longer future as I already like what I am paying for! :)

We bought dedicated server and Mad managed to setup it fast enough, since we got dedicated server it hasn't experienced any downtime, everything works good with no downtime.

I a mysql database backup from another host, but wasn't entirely sure on how to go about it. Their support team was super helpful, and responded in minutes. It took a long time for the database to be imported (it was >5gb, I don't blame them), but in the end everything was exactly how I left it.
As for something to improve on, I'd like to see some sort of web interface for databases, like phpmyadmin. I don't mind using tools like HeidiSQL to manage everything, but it'd be nice to have everything available from the web.

Incredibly fast support, responded in just a few minutes. Much better than other hosts I've tried who take hours if not days to respond.

I host my Minecraft Server there and my friend just joined BerryByte for hosting too. The Owner of this company is very friendly and you can always rely on a quick answer to your questions at BerryByte. I was afraid first, because I never heared anything about them but this feeling was gone very fast. Im hosting since half a month now and had no problems so far. With everything I got a question for, I got a answer within minutes & the server is smooth, without any downtimes & the Perodactyl Interface is one of the most beautiful I ever saw.

A very wide variety to choose from for gaming servers. Minecraft Basic (for small projects), Minecraft+ for growing communitys and Minecraft Elder for the big projects! All Ryzen processors are very good for what they are made on BerryByte!

Been using berrybyte as a minecraft server host on a 5950X, support is always responding quickly and hardware runs as expected.

Panel is easy to use and the design is simple and clean.

I have been using 7950x based VPS from them and I must say I am super impressed by their work, their design, their team - they are very very capable people know how to run a company. Support is top notch as well. Couldn't recommend more.

Had a slightly negative experience at first, but working with the team and resolving these issues have provided me with insight.

Mad is very responsive, and conducts his business both professionally and in a modern manner.
Mad will actually message you directly and work with you the entire time personally, whereas many hosting companies in the industry will run you through a ticket system, with extremely long response times.

BerryByte is a new company, but they accept that, are very transparent, and have a willingness to grow and learn.

Overall satisfied with my Bare Metal dedicated server purchase.

Great staff, great price for the hardware they have, also they'll will set up dynmap for you if you have trouble, for free unlike other providers, and their website is mobile friendly so you can manage your server from phone if you want.

Working with companies regarding large scale system setups needing multiple dedicated servers is generally not easy. For context I've been using BerryByte to host a small 8-10 person Minecraft server through their Minecraft+ 8g plan for the past month.

While looking for a hosting service I was mostly worried about two things: price and customer support. I was definitely worried about getting customer support while being a smaller server. I could be wrong but I feel like a smaller server with a uncertain lifespan isn't as high priority for customer support since it isn't very profitable compared to bigger and longer lasting servers; at least for bigger companies.

So why did I go with BerryByte? I went with BerryByte because of reasonable pricing, promises of customer satisfaction, and the name sounded cute (yes that was a real reason). Now after a month of experience I can confidently say it's been a mostly great experience. The biggest standout is the customer support which I've used a number of times for various reasons. Sadly I can't say my experience has been flawless.

The first issue was the server giving really high ping and causing disconnects because of it. The issue lasted 2-3 hours but was solved eventually, customer support responded within a minute of me contacting them and offered solutions such as temporarily moving my server to another location until the issue got solved. The second and final issue I've had was my server telling me it was out of space despite it well not being out of space. This was fixed within a few minutes of contacting support. My biggest issue with my experience has actually been the IP changes my server seems to be going through constantly. It's just kind of inconvenient to have to contact 12 people every time my server's IP changes so they can connect to the server.

So what are my final thoughts? I like BerryByte and I think if you're new to hosting a Minecraft server they're a great option for you.
