It is not possible to delete Safari, which is a core OS application, on iOS. So there for Betfilter is no good for my iPhone as it does not filter safari. Truly disappointed with the information given.

Betfilter for a desktop or laptop is good but for a cell phone it doesn't work. I tried it a year ago and it didn't work so forgot about it until yesterday when they took another $68 out of my Google account, I immediately notified them that I did not want this and requested a refund and they are not responding and Google won't refund either. I can't believe they can just steal money like that
Beware.

Had this for iOS for about 6 weeks and although the browser will stop you from accessing betting sites, it’s performance is truly shocking. When using the browser it constantly shoots to the top of the page or crashes completely. This makes it massively expensive for something that doesn’t work. There are much cheaper ways of getting the same, if not better results.

A well intended idea, execution is poor though.

I installed this for my brother who had problems with online slot machines. While the software seriously hampered his ability to open safe, non-gambling links from other apps (e.g. Whatsapp, Mail etc) it didn't seem able to place any restrictions whatsoever to opening links from Gmail.

So every time he was sent an email by one of the gambling sites he was able to open the webpage and start gambling. It took him a while to admit this to me (as is the way with gambling addicts, I'm really pleased he did in the end!), and I managed to unsubscribe him from all the sites but as new ones pop up all the time it's not going to be a watertight solution.

I did get in touch with the company and while the founder was very eager to try to help, he wasn't really able to offer any solutions. When I pointed out to him that significant proportions of the world use Gmail and use it on their phone, so it's not exactly an unusual bit of software for someone to have, he admitted that they couldn't do anything about 3rd party apps.

So buyer beware: for something aiming to deal with such a persistent and nefarious issue as gambling addiction, there are some serious holes through which any gambler might easily step!

Used this product for a couple of years in order to block my computer from gambling sites. Many good things and a few bad ....
Firstly, NEGATIVE
- it doesn't block everything so if you find a site that it isn't blocking then you need to send betfilter and email and make sure that you don't gamble with this site until betfilter.com have blocked it.
POSITIVE - It is hard to find many sites that betfilter isn't blocking but there are some out there and if you find them you need to share with betfilter quickly.
POSITIVE- They do take care of this very quickly so you shouldn't have to wait too long.
NEGATIVE - My software suddenly stopped working and I managed to lose a lot of money over a period of 2 days.
POSITIVE - When I contacted betfilter they sorted this out for me straight away.
Summary. My experience, Great software/support year 1 - found a couple of sites that I could access during year 1, lost money on 1 of them until I told betfilter to block it (can only blame myself for this), the other site I told betfilter and they blocked it immediately and never played on it. Year 1 score - 4.5/5
Year 2 - Installed the software (bought a new licence last week), suddenly stopped working for a couple of days. Didn't contact betfilter straight away (we're gamblers) - contacted them today, they fixed the problem. Sites being blocked again. Asked betfilter to make some kind of gesture, extend software/support for a year - or give me a free licence for another product or something as a gesture, they agreed to extend software/support by 6 months. Find this very disappointing since this glitch in their software/support has cost me thousands and they didn't show much sympathy. Anyway, there you have it. Good product, doesnt block everything, could go wrong, customer support good. Does the company really care or deserve your money instead of K9 or a few others out there? Not sure but I really think they could take a little more "ownership" of the problem when things like this happen. Year 2 score so far 2.5/5
