Great shoes, my daughter loves them!

After ordering lots of pairs of these shoes for my children I thought we had found an affordable barefoot shoe brand we could rely upon for their duration of childhood. Unfortunately within 7 months of regular wear of this shoe it disintegrated, the strap and opening broke making it entirely superfluous. After writing to the company I received a really disappointing response claiming it couldn't have been from normal use and wasn't a manufacturing fault. They offered 20% off a future pair of shoes! Rather than replace the faulty pair or refund the ones we had bought. A further two pairs we bought at the same time have got holes in already too. I have photos if anyone wants to see them. Please don't waste money the way I did. They won't last

Purchased some gorgeous patent t-bar shoes for my daughter and was impressed by the style, quality and look. She looks forward to wearing them and they will definitely complete the look of a smart outfit! Will be exploring more of this range.

Unfortunately the quality is not what we expected for the price! My daughter has the turquoise trainers. After less than two months use, the material on top of the toe has started to flake. The company has refused to assist in replacement or any type of refund. We’ve effectively been told it’s not a defect. All they are offering is a discount on a next purchase. Very disappointing given the price paid.

Read many reviews on the school shoes which we then ordered. The reviews were brilliant and videos on social media demonstrated an excellent shelf life on the soles. My son has wide feet and these fit perfect. No blisters or rubbing.
Initially I was so happy with them.
However, he has done 47 days of nursery and the sole is wearing quicker than expected.
Are they better than other brands... absolutely.
Are they easy to clean and continue to look smart... yes. I've only had to use leather shoe polish once.
But as it stands I will need to buy another pair for the spring term, meaning they will have only lasted from September to December on 3 days a week use.
The upper of the shoes are fantastic. Its just the sole I thought would last longer.

Avoid. Shocking quality school shoes. Shoes fell apart within a few weeks, 3 weeks to be exact. Asked for refund and got sent another pair, however, the pair I received were USED and BROKEN shoes - so they clearly have no care or quality controls in place. I then requested a full refund again as I said I need some shoes for my child. Instead of processing a full refund they sent me more shoes which I refused and insisted on a full refund.. I then had to return the 2 broken shoes and 1 unopened pair and even though I was promised a FULL refund, they are not refunding me the shipping stating that 'a good pair was sent out originally'. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced along with worst quality shoes at such a price tag. Plenty of better companies with actual good quality shoes out there. Sounds like a good company but they really are not based on this experience.

I bought two pairs of school shoes and neither are fit for purpose. My son’s shoes are not water tight - his feet are sodden if he walks through a patch of wet grass. My daughters are patent and very stiff, she has big red welts on her ankle after just 5 minutes.

After one school term the state of the shoes are terrible I’ve had to purchase from elsewhere for the rest of the school year. I’m very dissatisfied for the price point the quality is terrible. I so wanted to love these shoes as I’ve been on the hunt for good barefoot school shoes save your money look elsewhere.

We have now had 3 pairs of bgreater shoes for my 3yo. I was looking for high quality affordable barefoot shoes to help but needed them to be hard wearing for an active outdoorsy child, and comfy enough to wear all day for nursery. Needless to say we found the perfect brand in bgreater. My son is very comfortable in them and the sizing is great - room enough to grow in but secure to move freely in. The pairs he’s outgrown have each lasted him over 6 months (which is pretty great given he’s got size 13 feet as a 3yo) and still look near new. They are easy to clean, hard wearing, smart, good choice of styles and colours, and most of all I am happy that they are healthy for his growing feet and allow him better. I have and will continue to recommend bgreater to everyone I know with young kids. I will not be looking anywhere else for shoes for my younger child.

Great affordable barefoot shoes. Really comfy and flexible. They are really hard wearing too. My son usually destroys shoes within 6 months as he wears them for school and sport but these are still looking good.

It’s not even half term and these shoes have fallen apart, I’m so disappointed. Our shoes we had last year from a different brand lasted the whole year with no issues. What a waste of money 😞

Fantastic shoes. The last pair of shoes my 4 year old had gave him a corn on his toe, but these shoes fit really well - and my son says they are super comfy (he also says they make him run faster!) 🤗
Service and ordering were smooth and easy. Great to have a free foot measure too - super handy for future shoes.

I’ve bought bgreater shoes for my twins since they started reception. They’ve always lasted until outgrown, and one issue I had with a faulty shoe was dealt with flawlessly. Unfortunately, their customer service approach has changed and I would no longer recommend this company. One of the straps on my son’s shoes has come apart, and they are refusing to replace the shoe. It has only been worn for three days a week for about fifteen school weeks, so should last a lot longer than this. They have offered to cover the cost of repair, but it is beyond repair. They have lost a loyal customer with four children who need school shoes. I want to support a small british company, but can no longer do so when the school shoes are so poorly made and the customer service is so shockingly bad.

Serious quality concerns after our son wore a hole right through the shoe on first wear (and only for an hour of PE!). This isn't our first pair of BGreater shoes, our other son has a pair of astro turfs and although they have held up a lot better, black dye has ruined many a pair of socks from when is feet got warm, and a lot of the pattern has come away too. For the price point you'd expect the quality to be a little bit better, but I cannot recommend this companies products at all.

I’m sorry to have to write this review and I’ve taken time to consider my thoughts before doing so. In total my experience of your company has set me back a total of £19.84 😔 The response from customer service has been equally poor to be honest.

My son has spent the summer literally barefoot and your shoes seemed an affordable solution to get him back into footwear.

I initially ordered a size 2 his normal size, these were too big. The foot measure was on back-order, for which I had needed to pay a separate £1.99 postage cost. To save additional expense I purchased a size 1 well used second hand pair.

These were a success so I proceeded to make another order of brand new size 1s as clearly I had the wrong size.

On arrival these were rejected immediately. They were tight, hard and for a sensory sensitive child thrown off. I tried to manipulate the sole, the heel and even froze some water inside to try to stretch it. Still refused.

In bafflement I reached out to customer services. Eventually I got a response which was fairly unhelpful advising that “this may be due to the leather and style of the red shoes, which can make them feel firmer at first. Using insoles or softer socks may help, and with a little gentle wear they should ease up.”

I am not sure if there is an industry wide definition of barefoot shoes but for my mind they shouldn’t need wearing in nor should they require socks. I have a child who is distressed by socks! He manages for school and after that he needs to be free.

I then purchased from a different but more costly brand. On arrival these folded in along the sole, the sides and were so thin! Popped them on and he has worn them happily for over an hour.

In total my experience of BGreater has lost me £19.84 that’s in part thanks to me being able to re-sell the pair I couldn’t return and the foot measure. Postage costs to me of 2 orders plus return costs with an additional fee for each pair returned! Why is the customer paying an admin fee to return shoes?!

Customer service experience was equally poor and dismissive. I was ready and willing to engage in a conversation about maybe a different style that might have helped or size. The size 1 were definitively too tight and the size 2 too big; I’m still not sure if this is due to the second hand pair being well worn or a different type 🤷‍♀️

Update 14th Nov - for the first time ever I’m experiencing shoes wearing out in the insole and I think quite easily the outer too 😥

Bought two pairs of shoes for school, one for everyday and one for PE. Both brilliant, extremely flexible sole, and comfortable all around. Will be buying again, thank you.

Awful. Avoid.
We followed the sizing instructions and still received shoes that gave my 3 year old daughter blisters. The only shoes that have ever done this to either of my children’s feet, so I’m appalled.
The customer service since has been awful. I’ve been in coms with Bgreater for over a month now and they can’t seem to give me any answers or support. They have been ever so slow at replying, and leave messages unanswered.

These are incredibly overpriced shoes. Don’t follow their size guide, it’s rubbish. And their customer service stinks.
