I sold my bike on bikesales in no time at all. The platform works really well, it was easy to manage my ad and communicate with buyers.

Advertise on Facebook. These guys charged 80 bucks and not 1 enquiry. Facebook was free and I got dozens in 1 week. Save your money.

I feel that people looking to genuinely buy and are prepared to spend money look to here because they know it's not free over a sell price range thus the person selling is more likely to be upfront and not out to scam them

Don't waist your money, just use a free service like Facebook Marketplace or Gumtree. I didn't get one message or call from Bikesales and ended up selling though Facebook for free.

it was a smooth process to sell the bike and I connected with a genuine buyer. There were quite a few hits on the listing and it was worth it in my opinion.

Relatively few hits, very expensive, pointless. Use free services like gumtree or Facebook instead which were more successful. Carsales may go the way of the dodo, like TradingPost. Considering the fees for something that costs them nothing, I’m not surprised.

Bikesales have since asked for details of the advertisement. Which raises another point (and what prompted this review): when you mark your bike / car as ‘sold’ they ask for feedback and there’s functionality to copy your review and apply it on TrustPilot. The cynic in me wants to think it was because I offered a low score it wouldn’t work, but it’s possible just that it was broken.

Either way, to answer the question, you will find it as a near identical review provided yesterday on Bikesales for a Honda ST1300.

To pre-empt bikesales response which will no doubt talk about the hundreds of people who saw the ad and handful that saved it, and the one person that messaged me through Bikesales, the fact remains: more people contacted me through identical ads listed on free sites/forums than through Bikesales, so frankly, don’t bother listing there.

No responses from bike sales and 5-6 responses from FB marketplace for the same ad. I spent nothing on FB and ~$90 on bike sales. Doesn't seem like a good ROI given I got zero responses from the paid advert and several from the free one... Either need to increase their market share, provide extras not available to sellers on FB or decrease their prices to compete with Facebook

I wasn't approached about the bike once based off my ad on bike sales. Given the price paid it seemed a bit rich. The process to set up the ad was easy and intuitive. I've had success using the bikesales network before though.

Bought my new bike via Bikesales and sold my old one through the same platform. Recommend this option. Had a number of genuine buyers who made an enquiry.

I achieved the desired sale result in less than a week. Carsales network is comprehensive, secure and effective and easy to navigate and update. What more could one ask for?!

$75 dollars to list my motorcycle. Got maybe 3 messages / phone calls max. App points to the mobile website so what's the point in the app? The website itself is so glitchy. Gumtree has an amazing variety of vehicles. Got the most response from Facebook marketplace, where it was sold. So the choice is up to you pay an expensive rate for a bad service or just do it for free on FB and Gumtree.

Most visible, user friendly and secure way to advertise. I think the site offers more information to buyers than any other and allows buyers to compare bikes, history and specifications. I have a 100% success rate using bikesales for my scooters over a period of time.

I received 5 enquiries from your site. 3 of them were scams, and only 2 were genuine buyers.
