Harassing Calls - best to not engage with them at all.
We have repeatedly requested this company not to call us. They just laugh.
Latest scam attempt is, following a call when we yet again said we were not interested, for them email us requesting a 'permission letter' before a telephone 'consultation' part way through next year.
Businesses that don't respect 'stop calling us' are not to be trusted.
Caveat Emptor.

Broadband Supplier brought back into line

Dubious selling techniques
We have just had a cold call from Black Sheep. The person on the phone was very pushy, demanded to be put through to a colleague and when told he was not available, asked for his mobile number implying that he already knew it and wanted to confirm it.
We do not deal with Black Sheep and if this an example of their business practises, we never will.
Reading previous reviews it would appear that this is standard business practise for them even though Black Sheep say it is not!

I felt too much pressure to make a decision quickly. I can't stand the hard sell approach. I like to have time to review and consider my choices. I appreciate that utility companies only hold their prices for a certain amount of time but I run a busy company and the gas and electricity contracts are not at the top of my list of priorities, especially when they are not due to be renewed for 10 months.

They contacted my office to discuss utilities. The 'guy' on the phone was rude and inappropriate to a member of my team demanding she gave him another colleagues personal mobile number! When he was placed on hold he was chuntering under his breath to "come on, hurry up and just put me through". Rude, inappropriate and unprofessional!

Things went a bit wrong, but they turned it around
Having acquired another business, we were introduced to Black Sheep Utilities - they had arranged the commercial electricity supply for the previous owners.
Initially the representative seemed helpful and friendly, but was soon very keen to sign up our service. The information he provided seemed reasonable and so we agreed to a 5 year fixed term deal with the recommended supplier. I was told that the supply would need to be managed online and that payments would be collected by direct debit.
Some weeks later, I realised I'd heard nothing from Black Sheep Utilities or our new energy provider. I telephoned the original contact who said I'd hear from 'customer services' soon. To their credit, customer services DID get in touch, apologised for the lack of welcome letter and said I'd receive it by email. I explained that I still hadn't heard from the provider, nor had a direct debit been set up on our business bank account.
The welcome letter arrived, though still nothing from our supplier. I emailed customer services to ask if they could provide our account number and I'd sign up online with the energy supplier directly. Heard nothing. Forwarded the email to the salesperson to ask if they could help. Nothing.
After using the 'contact us' form on their website, I was contacted the very next day by Ellie in their Customer Services team. Ellie listened carefully to my complaint, explained why things had gone wrong on their end and apologised. She took ownership of the problem and whilst a full resolution is yet to be achieved, Ellie has kept me informed of progress every week.
Things can always go wrong, that's normal - it's how well they're resolved that matters and I'm pleased with Black Sheep's actions here.
