Having done my research on the easy to navigate website I went along to the show room in Nottingham, Andrew Brunton was polite and very knowledgeable on the product range, with his help and invaluable advice I purchased a new hot tub. The delivery and installation was impeccable.
Andrew Brunton also helped me over the phone with a few ‘new user’ questions and again was faultless in his advise, guidance and patience with me ensuring that my hot tub was set up correctly.

We bought a hot tub from blue whale spa after our inflatable one stopped working. Best decision ever! From the very start we were treated by very professional and friendly staff with very good communication throughout. The install team were superb also and very accommodating on the day. This hot tub is so easy to use and maintain and has some great features like led lights built in, Blue tooth speakers and a two types of fountains! I would thoroughly recommend anyone to go to Blue Whale Spa for a great experience from start to finish.

Finally upgraded our LayZSpa to a hard shell tub from Blue Whale when they had their summer sale on - great value for money & fab customer service from Fiona, always very helpful when I’ve needed phone or email.

We visited the showroom, and right from entering the showroom there was no pushy salesperson. When we wanted infirmation they gave good information and advice. The sale went smoothly and the delivery and installation was great, with the installation team giving good handover and information to get us going. Very good aftersales follow up too. Would definitely recommend.

We recently bought a hot tub from Blue Whale Spa and followed the guidance we were given regarding filling the hot tub and maintaining the chemicals to the letter.

Within a week, my 5-year-old, 2-year-old and my wife all developed a nasty rash which we initially suspected was chickenpox. After taking them to the GP, we were told that the rash was caused by bacteria in the water, which can grow in stagnant water.

After doing our own research, we found that this can potentially happen when hot tubs are factory-filled to test the pipework for leaks. When they are then drained, small amounts of water can remain inside the pipework. When the hot tub is subsequently filled at home, this water can potentially introduce bacteria into the clean water.

We followed the advice we could find online to clear the hot tub using a chemical flush, drained, refilled, repeated the flush, drained again and deep cleaned the tub. We also purchased brand-new filters for a hot tub that was only one week old, kept the chemicals at the correct levels and stayed out of the hot tub until the rashes were completely cleared.

We went back in this weekend, only to find that my 5-year-old daughter and I have now developed the same rash again.

I contacted Blue Whale Spa and explained the situation. I received an apology, but was told they couldn't be sure where the bacteria originated, despite the hot tub being less than a month old and less than 4 days old when we first had the issue. I was also told that it sounded like we had done everything correctly, but that we would probably need to repeat the cleaning process a couple more times.

To put that into perspective, within a month we have now had to fill and drain the hot tub four times, reheat it from cold each time, replace filters and spend a considerable amount of time trying to resolve an issue that shouldn't have occurred in the first place. We are also on a water meter, so there is obviously a cost involved with repeatedly filling and draining it.
Our two children have now had to miss their swimming lessons for two weeks previously and now a need to miss another 2 weeks because of the rash. My wife has spent time repeatedly boil washing swimming costumes, towels, brand new dry robes, goggles, arm bands, toys. But most importantly, both children have had to walk around with a nasty and uncomfortable rash. I don't think Blue Whale Spa have taken into consideration the amount of impact this has caused.

Blue Whale Spa have offered to send two bottles of chemicals to help clear the hot tub, which I appreciate. However, considering the circumstances, I would have expected a little more support — particularly replacement filters, some consideration towards the wasted water/electricity, or at the least someone coming out to inspect the hot tub and doing a professional deep clean and flush.

Unfortunately, the phone conversation left me feeling as though I was being unreasonable for asking for someone to come and check the hot tub. I don't think that's an unreasonable request when a less-than-one-month-old hot tub has resulted in two separate occasions of our children developing pseudomonas folliculitis despite us following the instructions we were given and taking additional steps to clean and maintain it.

At this point, I'm extremely frustrated. We bought a brand-new hot tub expecting to be able to enjoy it as a family, and instead we've spent much of the first month filling, draining, cleaning, reheating and worrying about whether it's safe to use.

If you are considering buying a hot tub from this company, I would strongly recommend asking about the factory testing and cleaning process before using it. In hindsight, I wish we'd known about the possibility of bacteria remaining in the pipework and had run a pipework cleaner through the system before allowing the family to use it.

I just hope Blue Whale Spa will take this seriously and provide some proper support to make sure we can actually use the hot tub safely going forward.

Initially I was going to purchase a hot tub from Costco, as they have some great promotions with several companies, but I saw an offer on the blue whale website for a Crescent bay Deluxe , so I called Blue whale spa to ask some questions and spoke to Fiona Josephs, she was very helpful and gave me plenty of advice on the hot tubs, particularly the one I was interested in on promotion, I was happy enough that I put a deposit down the same day.

Delivery was a few weeks later, could have been sooner but I was not in a position to accept it,

On delivery the two guys were brilliant, very helpful and professional in their work ethic, hot tub up and running, and very happy with it, I would definitely recommend blue whale spa.

We bought our hot tub in April 26 and had it delivered and installed May 26. Blue Whale Spa have a large range of hot tubs on line and in there showroom. We weren’t sure what hot tub to buy and chose to travel 4 hours to the showroom. We found each style of hot tub fitted us differently some more comfortable than others. This meant us buying a different hot tub to the one we saw online with blue whale spa. The service we received was first class from start to finish and highly recommend the company and staff.
