Hello William, thanks for the review. Sorry to hear there were difficulties enter the dates. Basically the way it works is that the insurance is per 24hrs and it starts at the exact same time of the rental car contract is signed. That way the insurance covers you over 24hrs periods, whereas some other insurance companies charge you per calendar day which increases the insurance cost.

Hello Nicolas, thanks for the review. Yes the insurance can be expensive especially for longer duration trips. Your trip was around 13 calendar days. We are planning to reduce the cost for longer durations - e.g. the initial days are the most risky but after that people should get lower prices. So we agree with you - and plan to update some of our insurance plans in the coming months.

Hello Manuel, thanks for the feedback. It's understandable that the insurance you purchased costs $14.88 per 24 hrs of liability coverage. And you purchased 16 days - so it does add up quite a bit!
That being said - if you had an accident with another vehicle or injured another person - not having the insurance could lead to claims of Bodily Injury or property damage - total Aggregate of $35,000. CA doesn't provide as much liability coverage compared to some other states given NY provides $60,000 aggregate coverage.

We did not make a claim which is good, so not sure how that would have gone. We did have a reason to call, though, and the response was good/fast/helpful. We would definitely use them again.
