Total rubbish
Total rubbish! For the second time this week I have received automatic text message that my goods won’t be delivered. Items that I need for weekend they will deliver on Monday. Total joke.

Brilliant Service From Start To Finish!
*Updated Review* Service has been brilliant from start to finish, the online ordering website is very easy to use and the item arrived the following day.
I had previously wrote a negative review as a member of our staff failed to communicate with us that the item had been delivered which led us to believe it was Brakes fault, the member of staff has only just told us that the item arrived (moral of the story, don't jump until you look)

All week Brakes did not deliver to us.
Amazing.... no customer care at all.
Pointless to contact custumers care.
Spend hours on the phone and they can't do anything..
Even area manager had no answer for that extremely bad service..

They couldn't care less about small businesses
Shocking service lately. Tried to place an order two weeks ago by the temporary, earlier cut-off as requested. Order wouldn't go through and when I called I was told they'd decided they weren't going to deliver to smaller business for the next couple of days, dropping my business right in it.
Now today I can't get on their website to place an order and can't get through on the phone.

Worst experience
Started worked last Monday as a temp agent all good with the training manager tonight meet a team leader just for 10mn told me to leave when i asked the reason told me "i just don't like you" when i ask if i can talk to the manager he walked me all the way to the door worst ever experience in my life. Was so happy to work there but now not sure.

This company should be lower than a zero! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY as they will destroy your business! Deliveries never turn up!!

i worked for this company for over 19 years at grantham depot,because of my attendance due to mental health they sacked me in june last year,after working thru the first lockdown,so much for the company supporting staff with mental health issues,they dont give a ==== if you work on the shop floor,unlike the office upstairs living in there clicky little world,bunch of tossers !!!!!!!!
Poor Quality Vegetables & Poor Customer Service
Online ordering was OK, waited 1 week for delivery, the delivery turned up on time and in an 18-tonne lorry.
The vegetables were not good, luckily I used most of them on the day of delivery, the fruit was expensive and not great, £11.50 worth of apples are going in the bin, they are passed the good stage.
The meat looks good and well presented.
Because I am a new customer and this was my first order I wanted to call them to discuss my issues, unfortunately after waiting and pushing all sorts of numbers I get through to a girl that was simply not interested, so they have now lost another customer through poor customer service

Sales staff basically lied to get our business missing out important information in conversations and emails . Buried in t&c were clauses that apparently justified dramatic price rises and non fulfilment of voucher back offer. AVOID

We've got an important event on tomorrow morning and because "we no longer trust brakes will deliver on time" we decided to have all items needed for our event delivered the day before. How wrong were we...?! We called 2x times to chase. The delivery turned up at 5:27pm rather then between the promised delivery slot (8am - 12noon). When the driver turned up he did not have the full delivery either. When we called the customer support a very unhelpful gentleman called Karl told us that we should have chased the delivery in the morning not at this time and that we have missed the deadline and therefore there was nothing he could do for us.... Are you actually kidding? You've delivered 5 hours after the deadline, you've not delivered all the items and you suggest this is our fault? Very very disappointing

4 deliveries, every single one had missing items. one even came on two different days. I was repeatedly told i would not pay for the missing items, and would be refunded. 9 phone calls and 17 different people spoken to, and yet no refund.

As one of the sheilding, initially was a godsend however no variation, I cant eat processed grap which the people employing them knew still got processed chicken balls which i cant eat at least four mouths out of five, no variation on cereal, mostly porridge, ridiculous, today the driver didn't even knock or leave a flyer, thanks to a neighbour who took it in .

Absolute crap with capital C they are delivering food for government packages Christ knows why they gave them the contract. They missed me so many times no apologies they don't care easy to see what 88percent agree this company is dier.

I am in receipt of a weekly food parcel funded by the government. I know the government guidelines as to what should be in the box. There is a marked difference as to guidelines and what is actually received. For the last 6 weeks the tin of meat has been a tin of Fray Bentos meatballs, disgusting, no nutritional value whatsoever. Yes there is rice and pasta every week. Loose toilet rolls, really? For shielding people? They've been handled by other people, can't be used.
No variation in the basics at all. Heaps of tinned beans, and Soups. Everything obviously thrown into that box. I could go on, rotten mushy carrots that had to be binned immediately. An absolute disgrace, this company should hang their heads in shame!!!!!!!!!!
