They charged us an additional 180 euros for alleged damage to the wheel rim that was there before we picked up the car. If you don't have any damage to the car, they will definitely charge you for damage to the wheel with a diameter of 2 millimeters, which is always there for every client.

The catch up process was very slow with around 1 h waiting time despite fast check in before.
They wanted to convince us in a long discussion to make a separate insurance, despite we had one already.

The vehicle was in poor technical condition.
We got a rental car with completely wasted tires in the front with less than 1,6 mm Profile, which ist obligatory in italy.
The windshield wiper was damaged.
We had to refill AdBlue, but we received the money for it.
The car had many dents and scratches.

I rented from Brid in Sicily via a DiscoverCars “Secret Deal,” and it turned into one of the most untrustworthy rental experiences I’ve had.

At pick-up, the counter agent pressured us to buy extra insurance, warning that refusing it would be “very unwise,” with theatrical gestures. We were given no official, signed pre-damage report, so we took our own time-stamped photos.

After returning the car via the key drop box, we first received a report stating no new damage. Ten minutes later, we received a revised version of the same report suddenly listing “new” damages. Brid later sent their own check-out photos, but our pick-up photos clearly show the same bumper scratch and tire defects were already present.

In my view, Brid’s conduct strongly suggests an attempt to recoup lost insurance revenue by asserting pre-existing damage as “new.” That’s our experience. Notably, other public reviews describe similar stories, which only deepens our concerns about how Brid handles customers who decline add-on insurance.

After multiple emails and providing clear evidence, Brid withdrew the charges — but only after unnecessary stress and time. I cannot recommend this company. Avoid Brid, and be extremely cautious with DiscoverCars’ “Secret Deal” listings — you don’t know which rental firm you’ll get, and you may face the same tactics.

BEWARE - this company flies very close to being a scammer.

*They add a 15 euro 'cleaning fee' on top of the hire charge once you've booked - not made clear at time of booking.
*They pressured us VERY heavily to take out their extortionate insurance, when we already had our own.
*They gave us a lower powered car than we ordered, which meant we had to abandon our plans to travel to hill towns because the car simply wasn't up to it.
*They charged us over 200 euros for a very debatable scratch on the car and when we queried it, their operative said "well, you refused to take out our insurance", which suggests heavily that they'll recoup the money one way or another.

Hatte am 7.7. 25 bei brid einen Kleinwagen gemietet, habe sehr oft in Catania bei anderen Vermietern schon Autos angemietet,nie hatte ich Probleme, NIE....bei brid musste ich für 295 Euro eine vollkasko versichern obwohl ich schon eine nachweisbare Versicherung includiert hatte, für eine Woche lancia; ..das schlimmste war für mich, dass das Personal sm Schalter einen noch auslachen und so tun als ob man blöd ist; diese wegelagerer,kann nur empfehlen NIEEEEEE BEI brid AUTO ZU MIETEN

Fanno pagare costi extra non dichiarati da nessuna parte e che nessun'altra Compagnia mi ha mai fatto pagare, come il lavaggio auto, e danni per i quali non effettuano sistemazioni sull'auto e che cercano in ogni modo di addebitarti.

Catania, the car was not checked and for every defects you didn't declare or in case of problems the cost you have to refund are 3 time the other companies (not justified). It seems that they earn throw the disattention of the customer and the insurance deductable. Stay AWAY

Vi havde ved et uheld skrevet navn to gange i stedet for efternavn, de nægtede at udlevere bilen og ville have vi skulle betale igen. Vi ringede til Discovery cars, som hjalp os, bridrent.it var meget modvillig og yderst uhøflig!
