The service is terrible even in basic queries
The service is terrible even in basic questions.On 09.08.2021 I have placed an order for "Mounting Bracket JOCKEY"
(29.90EUR). I had chosen PayPal payment method during the checkout. Because
of the multiple error messages during the checkout process (I was getting
messages saying that the order was not placed), I tried to place the order
again from another account. Eventually I was charged 3 times for the same
order (however two times I got messages saying that I couldn't place an
order). Then I automatically got a refund for one of them. So eventually
there were two identical orders placed and I was charged twice as well. I
am sure that happened by mistake on britax-roemer.de web site during the payment
process, because after I payed, I was getting a message saying that the
order was not placed, so I tried again until I see the success message.
Because I need only one order, the second parcel is still unpacked. I tried
to reach britax-roemer.de support multiple times by phone number which was printed on the parcel
label as "Absender Telefon: + 49(0) 731 9345 0". But nobody ever replied (looked like the phone number was out of service). Then I
found another phone number on the web site: "+49 (0) 8221-3670-199". This
number also never answered. I kept trying to reach britax-roemer.de support by phone on different
days and time slots, but this didn't work out. Eventually it was already more than 30 days
after I placed the order, so I decided to write an email.
On 18.08.2021 I sent an email (in English) to: "contact_at_britax.com" (I
found this email on britax-roemer.de web site). I explained the problem in my email.
But again, nobody replied to my email.
On 23.08.2021 I sent them another email (in German) to the same address"
On 03.09.2021 Frau Hafner replied to me asking to use online form for
return or use online support chat. Because they replied to me already after 30
days, I coulnd't use the online return form on your web site, so I
contacted britax-roemer.de with online chat.
On 15.09.2021 I chatted with Frau Anke, and she said he would forward my
request to Frau Hafner again. But she replied that I can make return only
during the 30 days after placing the order. As I explained above, I even
couldn't contact them during these 30 days because you didn't reply neither
by phone nor by email. And I managed to get the first respinse only on
03.09.2021.
I don't see any fails from my side and I did everything required from me to
reach the support in time. In opinion britax-roemer.de support just unresponsive.
That being said, because there were errors on their web site during the
checkoiut process and because the support replied only after 30days interval (intentionally or not), I think they have to take the duplicate parcel back and make a refund. But they rejected.
This is just a small amount (~30EUR), but they can't handle even such small requests. I was a big fan of Britz Roemer for years and have bought a lot. But now I just don't trust this company which has such a terrible service.
