For many years, we were very satisfied customers and even recommended the company to friends. This has changed drastically.
In June, a 86-year old relative of mine was picked up at Gatwick Airport in a Special Assistance wheelchair, the driver not only forgot to put the large suitcase in the car, after discovering the mistake he did go off on another journey before following up. The suitcase is lost, and many eMails went between us and the company; now do they now not respond at all, and do not want to take responsibility for the incident.
In addition, although the journey was paid in advance, the driver had requested payment from my relative via a QR code, thankfully she was not able to work with the technology.
We are very disappointed about the lack in customer support and will take matters further and seek legal advice now.

My sister and I were traveling to London for a few days before heading to Dover to board our cruise. Originally, we planned to use the cruise line’s transfer service from Heathrow to Dover, which meant storing our large “cruise” suitcases at the airport while we stayed in London.

The more we thought about it, though, the less appealing it sounded. We would have to travel all the way back to Heathrow just to retrieve our luggage and catch the transfer to Dover. That’s when we discovered Britway Airport Transfer—and we’re so glad we did!

Since we weren’t familiar with London, we really had no idea where our hotel was located beyond knowing it was convenient to the sights we wanted to see. After an overnight international flight, it was wonderful to be met by our driver and taken directly to our hotel. No figuring out transportation, no hauling luggage around—just a comfortable ride right to the door.

On the day of our cruise, our driver called, picked us up at the hotel, and drove us directly to the ship in Dover. The best part was that we barely had to handle our big “cruise” suitcases at all.

Britway Airport Transfer made what could have been a complicated part of our trip incredibly easy and relaxing. It was such a convenient way to begin our vacation, and we were very glad we found them.

Harry was a great driver getting us from Heathrow airport to Stratford Upon Avon

We booked and prepaid £566 with Britway Airport Transfer Ltd for a pre-arranged transfer for 3 adults and 2 young children (ages 3 and 2) from East Yorkshire to London Heathrow Terminal 5, to catch an international flight to Vancouver. Despite their tagline promising to "take the stress out of your travels," our experience was precisely the opposite.

Leading up to the trip, I had to initiate all communication to confirm the booking and request driver details, none of which were provided in advance.

On the morning of the transfer, I received a WhatsApp message asking for our flight time. When I asked why, the driver stated he was delayed. Upon calling him directly, he informed me he could not arrive until 09:30. Our pickup time had been booked months in advance and explicitly reconfirmed with the company just two days prior for 08:00. When the driver asked if we still wanted him to come, we had to decline, as waiting would have guaranteed we missed our international flight.

When I contacted the company, they were entirely unaware their driver could not fulfill the booking. When asked for a contingency plan, they stated they would find another driver. This left us chasing them with multiple status calls while frantically trying to research alternatives—trains, local taxis, and car rentals—none of which were logistically feasible given our time constraints, luggage, car seats, stroller, and two toddlers.

A replacement driver was eventually secured, but he was also delayed because he was given the incorrect address, despite it having been provided correctly in advance.

The replacement vehicle was a minibus with no air conditioning in the rear, and windows that could not be opened. This journey took place during a UK heatwave with intense heat and high humidity, lasting over five hours. We were genuinely concerned for the health, safety, and well-being of our young children in those conditions.

The entire morning caused immense anxiety and a very real fear of missing our long-haul flight. We have since requested a full refund, which remains in dispute.

This was a profound failure of service, reliability, and communication. Given our experience, we strongly advise travelers to look for an alternative airport transfer provider.

Excellent Service

First time using Britway Airport Transfers, and we couldn’t have been happier. Our driver, Harry, met us at Gatwick with a name sign with our name and drove us comfortably to LHR.

From booking through to our arrival, the company kept us updated every step of the way. Harry was polite, courteous and professional, and the vehicle was clean and well maintained.

We would happily use Britway again and highly recommend their service.

Helpful and friendly - booking process very easy

Our driver Niranjan was exemplary: absolutely punctual, super-observant of speed limits, helpful with luggage, happy to converse or not as the journey progressed, inspired confidence. Lovely personality.

We booked a last minute hire car with Britway Airport Transfer from Lingfield to Heathrow through their website. It was very easy online with email confirmation and updates. Our driver was wonderful and arrived early. The car was clean and comfortable and fit our baggage perfectly. It was less expensive than an Uber. I would definitely recommend and use again.

Wonderful experience. Highly recommend. Great communication with the company team-updates etc, leaving no worries for traveler. The pick-up and return trip to Heathrow was comfy, safe and enjoyable. Our driver, Harry was amazing. My child got extremely car sick on way from airport. Harry was calm, pulled over safely and we felt well taken care of. 3 times we had to pull over…we felt bad about it, not to mention how my kid felt-very unwell. Great transfer service and excellent communication. Very reliable and professional. Raj was our driver who was waiting for us at the Southampton Cruise Terminal and transported us to Heathrow Airport with plenty of time for our flight. Modern, executive car and very pleasant driver. Would thoroughly recommend this company and would use them again.

Although our bags were delayed at Heathrow Airport with one missing our driver waited for us and promptly took us to our destination. Very friendly and clean car with water provided. Price was very reasonable as well
