Excellent. Great customer liaison and updates on progress. Repaired side scrape/dent perfectly….amazing job. I’m so happy to have my car back looking like it did before, thank you. Would highly recommend their services.

Although I had little choice because my bodywork was some expensive warranty I was very pleased and impressed by both the work down and the excellent customer service.

I would certainly aim to use Brian Robson again if (more like when) i need a bodyshop in the future and will also be recommending my family, friends and associates

The worse car body shop experience ever...
At the end of May 2024, Brian Robson helped me to raise a paint warranty claim with Ford for a Ford Mustang 2019, which was approved at the start of July 2024.
I booked the car to be painted for August 2024 (due to my holiday), the job was for the 2 front wings and the bonnet to be repainted due to corrosion.

On the day when I dropped the car at the shop I had been told that the job will take over 1 week, which I accept it and I didn't received a courtesy car. On this day I asked the shop to provide me with a quotation for an extra job and to replace the wing badges with new ones which I left in the car, and to ensure that the black strips from the bonnet are replaced (this was covered under the warranty), which was agreed by the shop.

On the next day I received a text message that the parts are in order and it will take extra 10 days for delivery plus installation. I contacted the shop they told me that they order new wings from Germany and the completion date was extended from 7 days to 17 days. At this stage I still didn't received a courtesy car.

One day before the completion date, I received another text message that another part was just order and another 10 days will require for the part to arrive and to be installed. When I contact them, they told me that they didn't order the black strip for the bonnet and they just order it and they will have to extend the completion date for another week at least. They knew about the strips since I raised the claim (30 of May) and on the 29th of August they just order it. I need it my car for a holiday abroad.

I collected the car after 26 days since I dropped it to paint 2 wings and 1 bonnet.

On the collection day I observed that they didn't installed the wings badges as per my request and I observed that one of the plastic vents from the bonnet had a scratch on the paint which I was expected to be painted. The shop told me that under warranty is covered just the metallic work, but not the plastics. I don't understand why they didn't told me that the plastic is not covered so I can pay for the plastic bits, now I have new paint on the metallic part of the bonnet and scratch paint on the plastic part of the bonnet. Great communication...

Ah, btw, I never received the quotation for the extra work I wanted to be done, but after 26 days for 3 panels, definitely I didn't want to use this shop for any other work.

I gave them 2 stars because they've done a good job with the paint, but 26 days for 2 front wings and 1 bonnet? unbelievable... it's faster to buy a new car and get it delivered.

For sure I won't recommend them. The bigger is the company, the longer it takes. They focus more on the insurance claims than the private clients.

If you don't need the car for at least 1 month and you want just parts of the work to be done, you can select them, otherwise stay away from them.

Superb customer service from the whole team. Amanda on reception and George in workshop provided outstanding customer service through out bodywork repair on my Ford Puma. Took my car in on a Monday for repairs, by the Monday afternoon I was informed it should be ready on the Thursday. Thursday it was ready, great. A nice and easy collection, the repair work was spot on and a bonus was they had cleaned the car inside and out, I’m slightly embarrassed to say it was in a bit of a state when I left it with them and feel sorry for the poor person who got the job of cleaning it 😬.

I have recently had my car returned from Brian Robson Coachworks in Welwyn.
My car was damaged on the bumper, wing and passenger door. They have done an excellent job and I am so pleased with the finish.
I was kept updated at all times and I found them to be extremely helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Just picked up our Volkswagen T Roc from Brian Robson Coachworks. The repair is amazing. The car looks brand new as if it has just come from a showroom. We couldn’t be happier. Such amazing workmanship. The ladies in reception - Serena and Sharon - we’re both helpful & charming. We were given a lovely courtesy car whilst ours was being repaired for which we are truly grateful. We certainly rate the whole experience 5 star and recommend anybody who needs bodywork repair to their car to make Brian Robson Coachworks their first choice.

Rang up to request a quote for a repair for a car that a has been in a minor accident and they have 1) overquoted for the work, 2) lied to both the car owner and myself telling us each the other has agreed for them to do the work, 3) and have now involved a some obscure legal claims company to try and secure the repair when it should be going through our respective insurance companies!

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received at Brian Robson Coachworks. The repair of my bumper, which should have been a minor job, took much longer than expected. However, the most frustrating aspect of my experience was the consistent and unprofessional communication from the garage representative.

Throughout the process, the representative repeatedly interrupted me and showed a complete disregard for my concerns. It was incredibly challenging to have a productive conversation as she consistently cut me off when I tried to express myself. This lack of attentive communication made resolving the issue much more difficult than it should have been.

To add to the frustration, during our most recent conversation, she even threatened to charge me extra if I didn't pick up the car immediately, despite the delay being beyond my control. It was disheartening to be met with such a dismissive and unhelpful attitude.

The culmination of these poor communication practices led to a point where I had to raise my voice in order to be heard. This is not the kind of experience one expects when dealing with a professional garage.

Overall, my experience with Brian Robson Coachworks was marred by disappointing communication and unprofessional conduct. I hope that the necessary measures are taken to address these issues and improve the quality of customer service.

5 star service from start to finish, glad to get my baby back, excellent

From the moment I came into contact with the staff at Brian Robson Coachworks in St Albans, I experienced the highest level of professionalism by all the friendly and welcoming staff. Adam Downs who was assigned to me was extremely thorough and gave me reassurance that I was in excellent hands. I cannot recommend this local family run business high enough. Great expertise and wonderful service.

WARNING AVOID AT ALL COST!
This is possibly the worst company I’ve ever had to deal with in my life. My van went in for repair about 8 weeks ago for some damage to the drivers door that got damaged in a hit and run.
They told me they were replacing the door, but instead filled and painted over the damage. The door they worked on now doesn’t even close with the central locking and they have broken my key fob and won’t admit fault and are refusing to resolve any of the issues.
They also called me after having my vehicle for about 2 weeks asking me to pay £160 for something that was supposed to be covered by the insurance.
This whole issue has left me really angry and depressed and I would never recommend using this company to anyone. They are very untrustworthy and I will be pressing charges as my vehicle is in a worse condition now since they’ve had it for repair.
Worst experience of my life,…horrible company to deal with!

On the whole very happy with garage.
The damage assessor kept in regular touch with me regarding the works.
Slight misunderstanding at the end was quickly resolved. My car was delivered back to my home.

I was unfortunate to have been involved in an rtc and wanted my car to be brought to an approved (Audi) dealer workshop to get it back to brand new condition, and what an outstanding job Brian Robson coachworks have done!! From booking it in right up till it’s ready they kept me updated very professional and outstanding service I’ve received. I have no worry’s to recommend them further. Thank you for the great work guys!!

Very poor service. Insurance Job was ment to take 10 days but took 6 weeks. Even then the van was not fixed correctly and waited a further 4 weeks for the correct part to come in. Final repair day van didn't come back untill after 5:30 pm.
If had the choice I would not use again.

I have been extremley pleased with the service I recieved from Martin and the team today. Very organised and on time, the work was carried out quicker than I anticipated and to an exception standard. I will highly recommend them in future.
