Terrible company - avoid at all costs
I was forced to rely on this awful company (known variously as Brunel / Green Tomato / Travelhire) for numerous journeys over several months due to the account I had to use.
Pre-booked rides were often terribly late (e.g. over half the rides were 20mins to 1.5 hours late), or didn't turn up at all. Drivers were often instructed to request cash, despite instructions to the contrary on my account, resulting in some unpleasant arguments and repeated, unnecessary admin for me.
Most drivers were lovely, though clearly unhappy with their employer, often explaining lateness due to the job being allocated only minutes before pickup time, regardless of their location. Other drivers however were aggressive and rude with a very poor command of English and I often wondered whether they would dare speak to a man the way some of them spoke to me.
When I complained to management I was treated with snide disrespect and nastiness by their owner / director, Johnny. They were being paid around £100 per day to get me from A to B, but treated me as if they were doing me a favour. Polite complaints were interpreted as 'unconstructive' and 'emotional' and it was made abundantly clear Johnny couldn't care less about the appalling level of service they were providing. There was even a veiled accusation implying some impropriety in my use of the account, intended perhaps to discourage further complaints about lateness.
I contacted the account holder and got my account moved to a reliable, pleasant cab company that charged far less and has never once messed me about.
