Bussani Mobility Reviews 

We have been associated with Bussani Mobility for several years since trading a Honda Odyssey wheelchair van for a not-too-used Grand Caravan. Since identifying a need to be able to charge my daughter’s Permobil while driving, I explored different power inverters and learned that a 400 watt inverter that you plug into the lighter socket was not powerful enough for the charger.

A local mechanic said a battery connection would require a relay system to prevent draining the van’s battery and he suggested going to the place that did the van conversion. I called Bussani and explained to Ben what I wanted and read to him the charger specs. He assigned the job to one of their techs who specializes in electronics.

He recommended a Krieger 1000 watt inverter. I was concerned that wouldn’t be adequate, but he said the techs at Krieger assured him otherwise. He installed the inverter as I requested between the front bucket seats and connected the cables to the battery so that they were well hidden. We didn’t actually need it at first, but I wanted to know how the 1000 watt unit would perform.

In the testing process I learned something important about the power wheelchair. This Permobil has two charging ports. One is directly behind the LCD panel mounted on the armrest. This is fine for charging at home when the chair is not in use, but when traveling with a person who needs to make frequent seating adjustments to prevent pressures which can lead to skin breakdown, there is another port at the lower end behind the chair close to the battery. When I plugged into this socket, turning on the inverter after the Caravan was started, the chair’s battery charged beautifully. I never heard the Caravan strain under the extra load, even with both AC’s running. And my daughter had the use of her seating functions the entire time the chair was charging.

My 2020 Toyota Sienna XLE is the third vehicle I have bought from Bussani since 2011, and each time the experience has been excellent. No hassles from the time I talked with a sales person to the time the vehicle was delivered to my door. No hassles in transferring my set of hand controls and my 6-way seat to the new vehicle, and minor glitches have been taken care of quickly and satisfactorily. Questions, especially with the advanced navigation and audio systems have been answered completely. Bussani has maintained its reputation for caring for its customers, and I'm happy to be one of them.

I can’t say enough about Bussani and how I have been treated by them. Their salesperson,
Jordan Leichter, maintained weekly contact with me through both telephone calls and emails for over a year while I fought with my insurance company to get them to pay for ramp installation in the 2017 Honda I wanted to purchase. Finally, I prevailed, and purchased the car with the ramp from Jordan. And the insurance company paid for the ramp.
Since that time I have dealt with first, Darcy, and now Ben in their service department. I was having an issue with my power steering leaking fluid, and the car was at Bussani several times to fix the problem, however the noise on startup and the leak continued. Ben, himself, along with a technician came out to my house so that they could actually hear the noise for themselves. As a result, the car went back to Bussani to be fixed. And it was.
In the two years since I purchased my car, there has only been one misunderstanding, and, (thank you, Dan Walsh). it was corrected fairly quickly. So, despite the fact that there are several mobility dealerships closer to where I live, I will continue to be loyal to Bussani Mobility. They have gone out of their way to make sure that I am a satisfied customer, and I am!!
