EDIT 17/09: thanks for replying on 01/09. The app is still not working properly. Can’t see my card details, my rewards or any of the tabs, keep getting the error message. I reached out to customer services. But Issue not resolved.

Thought I had lost my card when I had a fraudulent transaction on a different card; it was replaced very speedily.

Love the rebate system. Would be better if the rebates hit your account 2 weeks after money being spent rather than 1 month. Would also be great if they were able to get a retailer such as B&M onboard after the demise of Wilkinson.

Cashback on your card is designed to be paid 30 days after the transaction, so if you received a refund (based on majority retailers 30 day refund policy) we wouldn’t add money and then remove it from your vault.
We are constantly working with our partners to be able to increase the retail offering we have for the card and we try to pass on the highest rebate possible to our customers.

Easy to use, not always the biggest saving
I got a card that works just like a bank card, which makes the payment very easy. Much better than loading gift cards for every single shop.
The listed retailer is not as many as in my company's benefit scheme, but some do offer a higher money-back rate. Need to spend some time to find out which one is better in byond. IKEA and Boots, for example, have a good rate in byond.
£5 joining fee is not very friendly.

Cashback nice, functionality could be better
The cashback is nice. The card functionality could be better. Automated top-ups would be a great start.
It's especially annoying when what you're buying unexpectedly comes to more than is on the card and you have to open up the app, find your bank card to top up and go through the top-up process while standing at the checkout!
I'd like it to auto-topup whenever the balance drops below a level I choose, even if that's as part of a transaction.
Byond also seems to require PIN entry far more often than most of my cards, even though it's used in far fewer places. Security a bit over-anxious?

Useful card
The card seems to work very well. I've never had a problem using it in the relevant retailers, and it even supports contactless. I do keep a check on my vault balance and that seems to work correctly too. All in all, a useful card, thank you.

My 2 penneth
My company uses this card for our bonuses to go on to. Gave 4* because it would be better if we could also add money to it to save faffing around when doing larger purchases. Other than that it’s spot on.

5 years behind technology
5 years behind technology. They say they have been ‘looking at’ wallet pay since 2021 yet nothing. App crashes, cashback doesn’t work often and customer service is non existsnt

Easy to top up and spend
Easy to top up even, if out on the high street and deciding to make an impulse purchase. Does what it says on the tin - pay and then receive cash back. There are enough retailers to make it worthwhile.

Money back for using bYond on my normal shopping
I just spend my normal spend, but use bYond and get money back. Love using it in Sainsburys and IKEA all the time, but there's tons of places you can use it.

Rewards you for spending
Needed a bit of shopping in Wickes, where my byond card is taken. In 30 days I will get some money back on the card for the spend I made, so I can spend it again. :-)
It's a nice App, the top-ups are easy. There is a good variety of shops available.
It would be good to have the card available on one of the wallet stores, as I quite often go out without the card - but always have my phone with me.
