So-called "Safety Checks"
Have had two Calisen gas meter "safety checks" through Scottish Power this year. I don't have a smart meter. Last time the engineer simply phoned me and asked me to go out (in the rain) and read my meter ("we need it to compare against our computer records"). He said I couldn't submit the reading online so if I couldn't do it then he would arrange to phne back later. In NO WAY was this a safety check - simply their way of pretending they had been out, I suspect. This time, today, the engineer actually did appear and again read my meter - he explained that a "safety check" consists of reading the meter (I submitted a reading to Scottish Power earlier in the week) and "sniffing to see if there is a leak". High tech, eh? Hope he has a good sense of smell - the meter is outside the building. I do wonder how much of my bill goes to pay for this. Anyone want to ask me/check if the meter has a PEB? That might be a useful safety check.

Engineer was polite courteous and did a great job with no fuss or mess. He was friendly and did the job in good time and explained how to use the smart meter. He is a credit to your company 😊

I was an engineer working there, it was horrible. I worked slightly less than a year, I did my training there, it was not full training. You would feel that the trainers are friendlier toward the english that the foreigner. The pressure is very high. I had the worst manager ever his name is "Rob" African dude. Would defo avoid at all costs. Now they re named themselves to Calisen. Still really really bad guys. Horrible company
Absolute waste of time…
Booked smart meter installation late Sept with Scottish Power due to be installed by Calisen 14.10.24.
Had numerous emails and courtesy 10.10.24 call explaining what I needed to do,all good…not…
Then received call 11.10.24 they can no longer honour appointment and have to wait until mid November (losing the £100 Amazon voucher from SP as installation had to be this week).

Jeff the engineer answered our questions re the smart meter . We felt my mum, a vulnerable pensioner, was forced to have a smart metre, which is not true. We didn't want and do not require the smart meter. Jeff was very helpful, but I feel misled by the booking team, hence we do not want the meter.

Woke up by someone stating Scottish Power at 08.00. Ignoring what I had to say, he failed to identify himself. A typical thug who enjoys the privilege of annoying people, in particular the disabled.
There is a sign on the door stating “No callers without an appointment”.
This individual clearly is illiterate and lacks the ability to understand English.
He left without even bothering to check the meters that he could check.

Mr F Abdul was very polite and explained what he was going. In the end he couldn’t not fit the new gas meter in as it failed on Scottish power side. Would recommend
Utterly deplorable customer service
Calisen were booked by Scottish Power to fit a smart meter at my property. 4 weeks from the call was the earliest appointment, during the week of the appointment I received numerous messages and emails and two phone calls confirming details for the appointment.
On the day of the appointment, the slot being 8am-12pm I received a call at 10am to state the engineer could not attend, after a further 10 minutes on the call the agent was unable to rebook and advised to contact Scottish Power.
20 minutes later I received another call from Calisen to state the engineer cannot attend and to contact Scottish Power.
Being left with no choice but to merely contact the energy provider and carry on with my day is ridiculous. Palming off the responsibility and not informing of the cancellation 2 hours into the window is the sort of customer services of the early 90's not now.
Hide behind your profits and your processes, thank you for wasting my time.

The Engineer was very professional and polite. He did a very good job. He quickly installed our new meter and got everything working. We would have no hesitation in recommending his service.

Waste of time
I had an appointment yesterday from 12:00 - 16:00, was called at 15:42 to be told the engineer would not be turning up due to unforeseen circumstances. I was then told that the engineer phoned in sick at 08:58. I have received a useless email apologising but not resolving my issue. They offered an appointment in 5 weeks where I would need to take further time off work, which I told them was unacceptable.

Engineer Alican AJ from Calisen was very efficient, calling the previous day to make sure we were all set. Knowledgeable, helpful, and very polite. His work was very neat and professional. All in all very pleased.

3 appointments cancelled on the day of the appointment due to 'unforseen circumstances'. Weeks between the booked appointment that didn't happen and the next available one. Awful service.
Have waited all afternoon for an…
Have waited all afternoon for an operative to change gas meter. Have just rung their office to be told an engineer came and was unable to do the job but didn’t bother to ring door bell to let me know…I was in all afternoon. I suspect he didn’t actually turn up. This is the third time I have taken time off work for these cowboys. I have started an official complaint.

Li was very efficient and respectful. He attended promptly and clearly explained to me what he was going to do. When he was done he ensured that he explained what he had done and provided a booklet with more information. I enjoyed his services ice.
Three phase engineer didn’t turn up!
Three phase engineer couldn’t be bothered to turn up.sent one phase yet again..been waiting since October..failed two appointments. This company needs to get its act together ..serious problems and attitude…no customer service ..wasted so much time. Best to avoid. Unfortunately they think as a subcontractor they are safe. Seriously letting the side down.
