It's an investment but the vitamix 5200 can blend literally anything into a smooth liquid. Such a poor customer service though

This site used to be my go-to for checking if reviews on an Amazon product were fake. Like I’d still shop Amazon, just wanted help picking a legit product. Everyone knows that they deal in too much volume to be able to tell themselves. Well, after several lawsuits Amazon apparently bought the site and disabled that function. Even the price tracking tool, which is supposed to still work, seems off now. It’s a shame, but I will just find another review checker site.

This site used to be great, usually working well, now no matter when you try to add an item it always says its too busy with requests to setup a new one.

Camel.com has been terrible to access been trying with the help of customer service for two weeks. Still no access, they keep telling me to call back in a day or two and the problem will be resolved. It’s not happening.

This app used to be a good gauge on when an item has sold for less so you know to wait for a sale, this is no longer true.

Not only is it unhelpful for this purpose of trying to help you save money but it will now do the opposite and attempt to trick you into missing out on a potential sale.

This app has repeatedly told me that an item is currently selling for the lowest amount in its entire lifespan and yet I knew from taking my time to shop around that it had in fact just increased it's price.

This is not a one off, it happens over multiple items and even sometimes on the same item which kept raising its price and kept being shown to be the cheapest it has ever been.

I suspect they do this because if you think something is on a sale it encourages you to buy and by using their app they register with the seller that they are an affiliate getting a commission. Avoid this scam.

If there is an item you want, but don't need it right away, set up an Amazon price watch on CamelCamelCamel. The website is easy to navigate, and it is relatively simple to set up a price watch. CamelCamelCamel will send you multiple Emails when the desired item falls to (or below) your desired price. In the past 30 days I have saved $90 on a pair of Airpod Pro Gen 2, and $125 on a Sherwood Avid CQR3 SCUBA BCD! When I saw the Sherwood price this morning I thought there must be a mistake. But, the order has shipped and it is the correct item.

A little patience can result in big savings.

I have used camelcamelcamel a number of times for items from just £25 up to £200 and always had an accurate and positive experience.
I like how it shows you the price tracker so that you can judge whether the current price is high or low compared to previous prices, as well as how it alerts you to any price drop.

Personally, I've found this great. Everything I've been tracking has been correct and allowed me to make a great saving on one item I bought. I've not had any issues with incorrect data or items that aren't being tracked.
I think only people having negative experiences are rating it. I hadn't even thought about rating it until I accidentally saw this.

Tried it for the first time. Set up three watches and I immediately got an alert saying one of the items was even cheaper than my checkpoint.

Visited Amazon and found the item is still the same price that it has been for months.

What’s more the CCC tracker says that it has been at the lower price for months - this is simply not true.

This may be some ruse or that the algorithm doesn’t work, or looking at wrong data - whichever, CCC had one job to do and it failed.

Nice idea, but if it cannot be relied upon then it is of no use to me.

Well I got an honest reply from CCC so I'm increasing my rating. But the response was still somewhat surprising - they said that no one had ever requested a track on that item so they didn't have any live tracking in which case the CCC simply uses the information un its database which could be years old. Because I raised a ticket the item is now being tracked and consequently showing the correct price.

Still it does beg the question of how useful is CCC - from what they have said, unless the item is popular the tracking will be unreliable.

Those people will use your price alerts to buy the product before you're able to. I recently got a price alert for a book on Amazon where the price was a steal (way below the market-price). Within a minute, the book was out of stock. This can't be a coincidence. They obviously watch all price alerts of their users and when they notice a great deal, they will snatch it quickly. Avoid using this website.

This site is great - it really does track all the Amazon prices over time which provides eye opening transparency.

The bit I love are the price alerts which I've used a number of times for example I got a Patagonia jacket for £105 that seemed to alway hover around £200, I bought a apple duo charger with a 40% discount. The email price alerts are great but make sure you are quick to respond!

This use to be a thing - but since the start of the plandemic - AMAZON paid them off - so they are just hiding their price gouging and not providing true data... Stay away from paid shills and cheaters!

Prices on Amazon never seem to be what camelcamel alerts say they are. Today I got a price alert that the AeroGarden Bounty Elite Stainless Steel was $259. I clicked on it and Amazon showed it was $306. The one that was $259, was not the Elite and it was in black.

I actually haven’t tried yet,so thought I’d check some reviews first ! Surprise Surprise Not ! Everyone “whinging” ! Do these people not realise some companies On & Off Line are STILL STRUGGLING due to the PANDEMIC ! Everything will change, well respect more, after the Pandemic, I right, whatever ! People NEVER change, they STILL Whine & Whinge no matter the situation 😡

Not always up to date and many items are not tracked but a useful tool.

I love camelcamelcamel, although it could maybe benefit from a UX designer's input! It doesn't do much more than log the price of the items, though, unlike UnitPrice.org, which is similar but calculates the per-unit price of the items sold on Amazon. Depending on the type of product, one is better to use than the other.
