I requested a cameo shout out from Danny Manning for a friend’s 70th birthday. They said that they sent the request to Danny Manning and he would have seven days to complete the request. At the end of seven days I received a message saying that Danny Manning could not do the shout out and I could resubmit if I wanted. I resubmitted for another seven days and in 7 days I received the same message.
I believe that if he could not get Hey, one minute shout out done in 14 days, he probably knew that right away.
I do not understand why they would have to hold off notifying me for seven days. If someone is unavailable or cannot do it, or does not want to do it, they would probably know by the first or second day and could send me a message so I could get something else done in time for my friend’s birthday. They need to have a better system notifying someone of the celebratie they have requested inability to perform. I understand that sometimes things happen, but I’m sure most of the time they would know right away whether or not they could get this done or not.

I paid for a video from Tex Kelly, but he never delivered the video. I waited and left a personal review on his page as well. This is what I received for $60. Cameo will not refund. I will not use their services again. I tried to remedy this before leaving reviews.

What a rip off. Only allowed 250 characters? How can you make a memory out of that?

Bought and paid for a video from a comedian I am a fan of. The video was a little pricey but the talent was able to record and send me the video within 24 hours of me submitting my request. The video was very personal and cute.

Paid extra for more characters to explain what I wanted. Ordered in plenty of time. Video was cut short, the lookalike made very little effort and despite me writing what I wanted him to say I could barely understand a word. I asked for it to be redone. They replied that it had been requested to be redone but heard nothing for another 10days. (Only when I chased them up) I then got a message saying my ordered couldn’t be completed in time?? I still have 2weeks until I need it. They just can’t be bothered. I did get a refund but what a waste of time. Someone else already said it perfectly, “they over promise and under deliver.” That is 100% accurate.

Like everyone else here, I ordered two videos from two different talent. Neither of them came through. This app is an absolute scam. Something must have happened where people left their profiles up but no longer are on the app.

Submitted video request twice, and it was unable to be fulfilled. It was for Lorrie Morgan. If celebrities aren’t participating, remove them from the list.

I ordered a video as a surprise for my wife's 50th birthday celebrations. Waited for over a week for a reply from a Strictly pro and nothing materialised. I'm not sure if it's the busy lifestyle of the celebrity or the fact Cameo over promise and underdeliver. The concept is admirable but the execution is terrible.

First time trying Cameo. Excited that there was a local comedian who my mom loved to purchase for her. Purchasing was relatively easy, although there are add-on charges - for example, you are only permitted to write a VERY SHORT description of what you want and have to pay extra for more characters.

I got an email to confirm and to note that my "talent" had 1 week to complete the video. There was an option to check "status" of my video, but that said nothing more than "in progress" all week. After 5-6 days, I started to get nervous that I wouldn't get me video, so I emailed customer support. I got a response saying that a ticket had been started but nothing else. I emailed twice more but no reply.

Within 2 HOURS of when the video was due, I got an email saying that my request couldn't be fulfilled. There was no explanation, no nothing. There is an option to "rebook", but that basically is starting the whole process over again, and I didn't trust that I would get better results.

Now I'm waiting to see if I get my "refund." Supposedly they put a "hold" on the price on your credit card while the video is in progress - I'm not sure why a "hold" has to be refunded, but that's what it says. I'm hugely disappointed in this whole thing.

I requested five different videos from five different celebrities, and not one of them got done. You wait while you think it’s being worked on only to get notified it wasn’t “accepted.”

Booked a simple celebrity video and over £100 deducted from credit card. Told video would be issued in 7 days.

No video received and over £100 down.

Will never try this again - seems like a scam.

A novel idea, I ordered a video, and after a slightly delayed delivery time; it arrived and the ‘talent’ (JB Gill) stuck to all the points previously set out. A positive video too, not as purely being read from a script, a good service.

. Received a message within 3 days saying my request had been denied, no explanation...And now another 4 days on no refund.. Terrible service, avoid at all costs...

My kids ordered me a Cameo video from Ron and Amy Shirley, stars of Lizard Lick Towing as a Christmas gift. It was awesome!! I watch the show on Amazon Prime and a local station here in Cleveland and am a big fan. The video had both of them in it talking to me by name and was such a shocker to get. They were great and spoke for several minutes and it was a gift i will never forget!

the shoutouts are whatever BUT 5€ just to message someone is absolutely insane and without even a reply guarantee?? Ngl, this is borderline a scam and predatory towards desperate fans.. i think we all know how immoral that is and it should be illegal. no wonder noone uses this anymore.

I saw on my card a charge to cameo cleaners, immediately went to trustpilot thinking an error had occurred, this is the genuine article and John Carroll Lynch is an acting phenomenon

Scammed out of money, wanted my Wife to get a Birthday shout out from the morbid pod cast. received nothing and when I complained about it to camo I was told no refund.
I will never use this service again! and will recommend everyone I know to stay away!

I paid for a dm. They responded with, that makes no sense. I reread it and makes sense to me. So now mad to pay 9.99 for I don't understand. So I go to respond guess what. to answer back is 9.99 I paid and told this person I would never contact him again. Response make sure it's clear. Total rip off
