So bad!
Uber is 1000 times better. The Carmel car was dirty. The driver swerved off the road and I thought he was drunk.
IF YOU CHANGE YOUR PICKUP TIME BY EVEN 10 minutes - THEY ADD A $50 charge!

If I can give them a zero I will. Terrible service, terrible rude drivers that just yell and want to fight, stranded me I almost lost my flight I had to pay a private driver to take me to the airport never again will I use Carmel they need to get their act together

While I have never had a service problem with Carmel customers should know that they charge for tolls on an undiscounted basis even though they are using Easy Pass or equivalent and they are paying a discounted rate. This allows them to charge a lower amount for the ride than their competition but make it up through the profit they make on the toll charge. I have complained to them about this deceptive practice with no effect.

We recently were in New York City. We had a car reserved for 3 different occasions. We had issues with the second reservation, but they immediately gave us a $12 credit that was applied to the 3rd reservation. I was very pleased with this service and will definitely use it if and when we return to the city.

Absolutely awful company. Arrived at Boston Logan to find they had sent me a link to a meeting point at a different airport and the phone numbers provided didn't work or went to an answer phone.
Ended up taking a local taxi and when arrived at the hotel a very nasty message was left on my phone stating the driver had been waiting and I hadn't showed up.
Cancelled the transfer back and requested a refund through Expedia but only got 50% back as they claimed the driver had been waiting, Disgusting - do not use.

NEVER USE!!! THEY ARE THE WORST COMPANY. They don't come to pick you up and will not refund your money. They will also be very rude to you on the phone. I would give them a minus rating if that was possible!!! They are an absolute CON!!!!!

Worst car service ever made reservations to be picked up at jfk.called to tell them we arrived ,they said car would be there in 15 minutes no car came called again half hour later they said they were looking for a car and maybe we should look for another ride home at 12 midnight.never use this car service

Had reservation for 4:30pm at upper east side hospital for return trip to westchester. Called to get an earlier pickup and they said that it would cost $20 more and be an 1hour 10 minute wait. After wait, they said they still could'nt get a car to me until my 4:30PM scheduled pickup time, but they still wanted to charge me $20 more. Complained to dispatcher, and he cancelled my reservation entirely and told me to find another way home. WHAT A BAD COMPANY- DO NOT USE! LEFT STRANDED AT HOSPITAL.

I hired them to pick me up at the Newark airport. When we got to the hotel, the driver, who didn't speak English very well, started yelling, "You pay toll $35 cash." He just kept yelling it over and over. I only had $20s so with the tip I paid $60. I found out later the toll was only $22. I called and complained. The company said they would reimburse me. They sent me a check for $15. What a scam. Then the afternoon they were supposed to pick my son and I up to go back to the airport. They called to say they couldn't get me to the airport on time. I had to call someone else. They also told me to contact Expedia to get a refund, but what a surprise Expedia has no record of it. Do Not Hire this Company. They are a hot mess!!

We booked their car service to take us to our hotel from LGA airport. The operator on the phone told us the car will be there within 10 minutes. After 20 mins of waiting, we called back and they said that they were trying to find a car and it could be another 30-40 mins. We canceled with them and took an uber to the hotel. Was a fight to get our money refunded. Do not use this service under any circumstances.

Used Expedia to book CarMel for round trip limo service from Chicago Midway to hotel and back. First leg was fine. Second leg was cancelled 8 hours before scheduled pickup. CarMel said, “Sorry, we don’t have anyone who can pick you up.” What?? How do I get a refund? “Call Expedia”. Thanks for nothing, CarMel! Will never use you again.

Horrible horrible service They no showed after confirming the day of. They were supposed to meet us at JFK and they never did. We had to call to find out where they were only to find out they had canceled. Worse, they sent someone to meet us in traffic. We had navigate four lanes of traffic with five heavy suitcases. The driver wouldn’t help us load or unload and screamed at us to pay him in cash even though we had pre-paid. He demanded to be tipped. This is a terrible terrible rude and unprofessional service. Do not use them do not use them do not use them

We had a reservation for 12:15 in the morning on 3-26-22 to be picked up at the JFK airport when we went to New York. We had called them to let them know that we were ready to be picked up and they said that a car is on the way. 20 minutes later there was still no car, so we called again and they said oh it shouldn’t be much longer now car is on its way. So we waited and waited. So then we called again at 1:00 AM after waiting 45 minutes for a ride and they said oh yup running a little bit behind the driver will be there. At 1:15 AM we called again. He had the balls to tell me that he did not have record of me calling and had no idea that we were waiting for a car. I said very clearly and explained how many times we had called and don’t lie to me and and I said very loud I was not happy with this experience and I wanted to do a complete customer service and demanded a full refund and that we need a car right now to pick us up since we have been waiting an hour and not impressed with the service that they provided. Within five minutes we had a different driver. My assumption is that the first driver fell asleep in the vehicle somewhere in the New York airport parking lot. It was horrible and they lied and I was not impressed. I called when we got back to MN and was put through to customer service and had to leave a voicemail. I have NOT heard back from them. Ridiculous!! Man up to your mistakes!!

I booked a car for pick up at our hotel and take us to LGA. When i booked I used their website. I put in hotel from the dropdown in the menu. As it turns out the address they have connected to the hotel in their system is wrong. We were staying in Time Square and the system showed Times Square in the hotel name, but when the driver didn't show up we called and he was sitting at a McDonalds in lower Manhattan. He required that we pay additional money to have him come to Times Square to pick us up. We almost missed our flight. That was bad enough but since then we have tried to rectify this with their customer service and nobody will ever call us back. Do NOT use Carmel......take a taxi

I had a reservation to be picked up at Newark airport yesterday, the 14th of December for a 7:15pm ride. After 14 calls to Carmel's dispatch “supervisors” and a long travel day from Los Angeles, I finally managed to get a car at 8:15 pm. The whole experience was awful!!! I am a senior standing outside where I was told to, getting very cold. I would like the company to do the right thing and give me a refund. Every time I called, I got a new "supervisor" who said the car will be there in 4 minutes, 5 minutes, 8 minutes, blah, blah, blah. If I hadn't paid for it already I would have just got a cab. I called today and left a message and no one thought it was important enough to call me back. If you brag on your website that for 36 years this company is known to be the most "on time" car service, we are all in trouble. I understand situations arise and I was willing to speak to the company. I gave them a chance to do the right thing after this awful experience but they couldn't be bothered calling me back. After a long travel day from LA, where I live, I was beyond exhausted. I don't appreciate someone lying to me on the phone. If you tell me 5 minutes, it shouldn't mean an hour. Take an uber or a cab. At least you'll get to your destination. I also sent two emails to two different supervisors at the company who also couldn't bother to call me.

We used this service in NY LA and SF.

In LA the driver extorted us for another $100 or would leave us on the side of the road. After complaining Carmel assigned us this driver AGAIN. And their customer service has not got in touch despite be calling daily. Terrible service DO NOT USE THEM

Gave 1 star because cannot be 0. Followed the instructions, called after getting bags and they said 15 minutes. Called back in 20 and was told they did not have cars, go find a different service. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS FRAUDULENT COMPANY!

Had 2 week old reservation for a pickup at JFK for tonight, 11/28. I called once landed from plane and they said 10 minutes after bag. I called when I got bag and they said 10 min. 30 min later called back and they said 1 hour for the SUV for my wife and 4 kids under 10 years. I complained and they offered a van which I took as kids were tired. Smelly, old van with a lovely driver.

A reservation is only a booking with no guarantee of a pickup. Their only excuse was that drivers did not want to come to JFK. Never again Carmel Limo.

Last time driver who spoke no English but not only managed to push and ride the break often, but also managed to pump gas pedal so much I got nauseous. Complaint got me refund of $8 of $78.
