Cash app is the worst app around. I tried to change my name in the care since they sent a misspelled name as a replacement and I ask for a change and uploaded my id and took a photo of myself and they still wouldn’t change it and said someone would email me and they never did. And also I constantly have to re-explain myself to every rep. Sad..

1 Star is way too much for THIS company, I made a phone call on 11/7/2023 at 2:35 agent hang up called back at 2:36 got a outsource agent NAME LUKA NOT SURE IF IT IS HIS REAL NAME OR FAKE NAME had no training in customer service at all he was very rude and unprofessional with abusive behavior. didn't assist at all refused to get me a manager as well.This company is outsourcing their staff with no knowledge or proper training to assist consumers. This company is rigged and so corrupt. THE GOVERMENT NEED TO STEP IN AND SHUT IT DOWN FOR GOOD.

I am writing to file a formal complaint against Cash App. I have been a customer for years and have always been satisfied with their services until recently. My accounts were closed without any further explanation. On July 5th, 2023, and August 5th 2023 I transferred Bitcoin from an external wallet into an old Cash App account that I no longer have access to. I know for a fact that the transactions all totalling over $364 were sent to the correct Square/Cash App Bitcoin wallet. However, I have not been able to access these funds for over a month. I have contacted Cash App customer support multiple times and have been given the runaround. However, it has been over a month and my funds have not been returned. I have also been told that I need to provide more information about my old Cash App account, but I no longer have access to that account. And I'm unsure which account it was. I am extremely frustrated with Cash App's customer service and their unwillingness to help me. I have provided them with all of the information that they have asked for, but they still have not been able to help me. I am now out over $300 and I do not know what to do. I am requesting that Cash App immediately release my funds to me. I have been a loyal customer for years and I have never had any problems until now. Extremely unprofessional company to deal with. Ridiculous to try and get in contact with people, nearly impossible to get someone on the phone. Have unauthorized activity on my account AGAIN and am finding it impossible to get support. Once this is resolved I will NEVER use them again, account will be deleted.

It's easy for people to make fraudulent transactions. I lock my debit card. Someone went in and tried to do a transaction for 550, then 500, then 450, then 400. My bank alerted me as to why were there so many back to back attempts to make a transaction. I closed down my cashapp and bank is issuing me a new card.

I used Cashapp for a couple of months without issue. I was literally sending $10 or $20 to my friend in USA. Then one day my account was blocked. I asked why and was told they would let me know when I could use it again. This was 2 months ago and my account is still blocked. They will not tell me why and now suggest I close the account if I am not satisfied with the service. I do not understand why no one will tell me why it is block. I have done nothing illegal. This company are incompetent and the communication is less than awful. Do not use this app.

used cashapp for couple months i had money sent to me by family to make grocery purchase, cash app automatically doubled the amount of purchase and took it out of my bank. i was constant at trying to get my money back for over 2 months ,i contacted all parties including my bank but seems cash app deleted the info on the website my purchase is gone my deposit is missing. All i got was a run around and they blame a computer glitch. i will never use the app again! it steals your funds erases any trace of deposit or accidental double charge although i was issued refund from retailed it never made it back to my cash App account. Cashapp sent some e-mails with tampered spread sheets that did not match the activity i downloaded from cashapp.com. stuck without any help ,Cashapp is the scammer and they will take money from users and refuse it ever happened. Their support sucks and they drag it out for days upon days. Persistence does not payoff i spent hours upon hours with no results except the computer glitch issue.

I had an individual sent money to me by mistake and I was unable to refund their money.

Extremely Horrible service! .. it was $1000 dollars and now the sender will start filing criminal charges against me, Although cash apps policy state that it is unethical and will not participate in receiving funds they will not intended for your use. They will shift the blame on you

Unfortunately, my experience was the same as many other reviewers. I was scammed by an individual who failed to deliver on the promised service, and despite attempting to contact them multiple times, I received no response. Seeking support from Cashapp, I was disappointed to find that they also refused to refund me for the transaction. It's frustrating to have been taken advantage of in this way and to have received no support or assistance from either the individual or the payment platform. I hope that others will be cautious in similar situations and avoid falling victim to scams like this.

YOU COULD LOSE YOUR MONEY BY USING CASH APP . . .
How I wish I could give Cashapp a minus 1 star. I called them to inquire about an email that supposedly came from cashapp saying I received $5500 to my cashapp account . . . I was on the phone for over an hour while the cashapp representative was trying to verify my identity so they could see if $5500 actually hit my account. The rep could not figure out how to me to verify my identiy with her guidance over the phone. So I told her that I could not be on the phone any longer and just give me her email address so that I could forward the spammy email to her and she said cashapp does not have the ability to receive emails from customers! I told her that is hard to believe with today's technology and she says she will mention my suggestion to allow cashapp senders to send cashapp emails. I said we could have been off of the phone by now if you could just look at the email and tell me if it is legitimate or not but I just wasted my time.

So part of the security validation included setting up a new account which has nothing to do with my old account to see if the money was there and from whom.

I said to the rep well now I can't access my old account even if I wanted to in order to verify cash received. She said there was nothing they could do until they verified my identity as instructed but I was like wait a minute, I followed your instructions and the identity verification steps did not work.

So the bottom line is she said she had to go and there was nothing else she could do because she tried everything.

So now I still cannot access my old account to see if these funds were in my account.

My belief is that this was a scam to get access to my linked bank account to steal my money.

The bottom line is I used the same email address (that the overpaid bozos at cashapp sent me with the instructions to verify my identity) to forward the spammy email to and so far after more than a day, none of the bozos at cashapp has replied.

It is hard to believe that there is no sense of urgency at Cashapp to figure out fraudulent activities via emails to customers using the app.

This is unbelievable.

i used the cash app its was good to me, but last 6months someone sends me $29, and i try to withdraw the money several times but not succeed i called them but there keep saying i will receive support via email but nothing, this company is untruth bad service. Never recommended to anyone

Told me I could not link my debit card to my account.. reason? My post code is not valid. I’ve been fighting this with cashapp for two weeks.
Told me it’s my Bank’s fault.
My Bank says. My post code is legit.

CashApp refuses to let me sign in to an account with money in it. My business uses one account for income and another for spending and this seems to maybe be the problem bc they keep asking me 'which account do i want to keep?' and when i say both they get confused. When i ask if it's not allowed to have 2 different accounts they won't answer the question. So i have money i can't access now bc CashApp makes it impossible? (is that an exaggeration? It's been mutliple months that i'm not successful accessing my account and i see no light at the end of the tunnel). They leave no easy way to call someone and have horrible customer service unless you like repeating the same information to bots again and again when they can't help you the first time. I used to really like CashApp a few years ago. What happened??

I got hacked, money was fraudulently transferred while I wasn’t even logged in, I was only made aware by my bank statement hours after the transaction occurred. They told me to file a dispute and they’d investigate it. They denied my dispute and said it was me who did it, despite me giving them all my information make and model of my phone, everything.

When questioned about how it could be me when I wasn’t even logged in until after the transaction, they told me I had to request documents surrounding their denial. The “documents” was one email attachment of one piece of paper that just stated the fraudulent transactions and when they took place. Literally nothing else. When questioned further about the decision and how it possibly could’ve been me, they just told me they couldn’t give me any more information.

TL;DR They do absolutely nothing about blatant fraud and will just blame you. Do NOT trust them with any information and disconnect your bank/debit card from it immediately

On the bad advice of a customer service rep for Ebay, I opened an account at cash app. Then ebay said they do NOT accept cash app. So, I cancelled it. During the 5 minutes I had it, the phone #'s I had on my phone were hacked, I was getting overnight messages from one friend and these messages continued til I put my phone on block mode and turned my ringer off. My phone is now private. The calls still come in as spam, so I have around 75 numbers/emails on a blocked list on my phone. I get 20 emails daily from spammers telling me Paypal has paid money out of a crypto account that I do not have for $500 plus for things I do not order. PP told me to delete the messages. They also come in from other companies like Ace, Harbor Freight,and others that I do not use for outrageous charges. I get spam mail demanding money and spam mail telling me I have money coming.All of this from a stupid cashapp application. Cash App won't do anything. I sent them emails and they tell me it's not their problem. I think the folks who own cash app are the problem. They won't protect customers. I said I cancelled but they did NOT cancel til I called them weeks later. Oh and Ebay?I closed my account and told them to keep the money they owed me for one lousy sale and they spam me every day wanting my bank. I DO NOT HAVE A BANK they accept. They won't close my account, that I had since 1993. DO NOT USE CASHAPP! Today I changed my phone #. Right after I did I got a spam call twice from the same #. They hung up. Nothing since. I have a new email account as well and am in the process of transferring my online accounts. Will it help? Who knows. These animals belong in jail.

CashApp Support could not and would not refund or cancel money that was sent to a Scammer.
When I realised I was scammed I contacted CashApp but they absolutely would not help in anyway and felt it necessary to demonstrate how to detect scams.
No wonder the Scammers use it as it supports their activity by making it possible and turning a blind eye….
Irresponsible and below standard. How they could be allowed to do business is beyond me

Like most of the other reviews here, I got scammed by a person and didn't receive their promised service. Tried to contact the person many times to no avail. So I went to Cashapp for support and they refused to refund me as well.

I reported a unauthorized charge in my account and cash app refused to give it back so they helped steal from me over $2000 now this is why there is no trust in this world it may have happened longer than the time posted

Sent money for an item, I did not receive item and messaged asking for refund, person blocked me after reading messages. I reached out to Cashapp for help and received no support at all. My bank won't refund money as I used a third party. I would not use or recommend Cash app

Trash won't refund stolen money after making a claim and sending police report!
