All-round Excellence!
Joe visited me today, bringing with him a riser-recliner chair for me to try. He was polite, friendly, smiley and an all-round professional. He asked what I wanted/needed from the chair and looked back at the end of his visit to check that he had covered all of my ‘wants’. Joe made sure to place the chair in the room where it would be set, to allow me to see how much room would be needed with the chair in a normal position as well as when reclined. He helped me to see the differences between the 4 types of motors available and how they affected the movement of the chair. This was really useful when it came to choosing one for me. Joe showed me the chair styles on offer, explaining each one. He had a very good selection of fabrics to choose from and was very patient whilst I procrastinated before making a decision!
He is an excellent ambassador for the company he represents. His knowledge and presentation plus the quality of the chair made it an easy decision for me to make the purchase.
Thank you, Joe and Charterhouse. ShouId I ever need to make use of the Customer Service team as time goes on, I hope I’ll be able to give another excellent review.

Appalling after-sales (non) service
My friend bought a bed a few weeks ago and was very disappointed with it. The model she'd been shown needed changes and when it came, no-one showed her how to use it (she'd forgotten in the time between demo and delivery -she is almost 95) and so had I, her friend and carer. We rang to ask for someone to come and help her use it as she was so distressed with the hardness of the mattress (we hadn't been warned it would take several weeks to 'wear in') and was unable to use the top part. A visit was refused - until I said I'd put on a poor ( and honest!) review and then a visit was grudgingly offered. It was 'too far' was the excuse. My friend refused then as she didn't like the attitude. We've heard nothing since and feel the after-sales service for a £5K bed is appalling and would definitely NOT recommend unless the buyer lived local to Bury St Edmunds.
EDITED AFTER placing this review, a director contacted me, and initially tried to make excuses for his employees (including the girl who was so off-handed when we rang about the hardness of the mattress), but agreed they needed further training. He then offered to send someone to help with using the bed. Ed, the lovely man who demo'd the bed to sell it, came and stayed until my he was satisfied that my friend now knew how to use it and was much more comfortable with it. He also left his contact details in case further help was needed.
I've added a star for Ed's expertise and kindness, but will not remove the review as was hinted at, as it is honest, and I think it a shame that I had to put on a bad review to get any help in the first place.
Rise and recline chair appointment
I was with my friend who was buying a rise and recline chair for herself. The demonstrater, Henry, was knowledgable and helpful, and very friendly, I found myself chatting to him and so did my friend. There was, however, no lack of proffessionalism.
Henry helped my friend decide what fabric to have her chair in, what extras she wanted, let her try out the added features in the display chair, mentionned a deal to get her a fireside chair for a reduced price, and explained the origin of everything (hurrah for British workmanship, German hydraulics, and Beligian textile mills!)
An overall pleasant expeience and my friend is looking forwards to delivery of her chair.

Friendly Polite demonstrator.
Henry demonstrated the chair well. He was very polite and professional. The chair is well made , made to last and so is the motor. It is very comfortable to sit in and massages well. I bought an extra chair on the offer and accessories. I look forward to receiving it and paying the balance.

I had Ray come out to visit me for a new bed. What a Ray of sunshine! He took great care of me and helped me select the perfect bed for myself. FIRST CLASS SERVICE FROM START TO FINISH.I ORDERED A NEW RISER RECLINER CHAIR WHICH WAS MANUFACTURED TO MY MEASUREMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS, DELIVERED, ASSEMBLED AND DEMONSTRATED ON TIME BY ED. ED ALSO TOOK MY OLD CHAIR AWAY, AND THEY PAID ME FOR IT. THIS IS THE SECOND CHAIR THAT THEY HAVE MADE FOR ME AND THE CHAIR IS SUPER COMFORTABLE. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

We met Henry at our home this afternoon and found him to be a very polite professional person. We picked a stock two seater sofa which met our needs perfectly and in a fabric which exactly matches our decor as well!!

What an amazing service from start to finish. Rai was a lovely person who really took all our needs into consideration. He took his time to listen and explain everything. We were kept informed throughout the process. The delivery was amazing. Jamie and Kieren really went out of their way to help. The chair is comfortable and solid.
