Age Verification is Horrible
So, I have ordered from cigars.com before now, and it was a fine experience. Whether some new law went into effect, I do not know, but now they require age verification, and it is horrible! I don't mind taking steps to stop minors from accessing tobacco products, but this was not acceptable.
I ordered some cigars to be shipped to my father for his birthday. The cigars.com website asked me some questions to determine my age. I answered them and it said they could not verify and that I needed to deal with the Veratad website to verify my age. Fine. I go there and do what they asked, including uploading a photo of my driver's license.
I later get an email saying they could not verify my age, with no explanation in the email. I call cigars'com and I am told that the recipient's age also has to be verified, so I go to Veratad and do the same for my father, after having asked him to send me a photo of his dirver's license to upload to Veratad (which ruined the surprise factor of the gift, BTW).
I then get an email saying they could not verify my age, with no explanation in the email. I again call cigars.com and am told that my father's verification cannot come from the same email as mine. They say that my dad has to just send them an email with the order #, a photo of his license, and Age Verification in the subject line.
I have my father send the email. I then get an email saying they could not verify my age, with no explanation in the email. I again call cigars.com. and this time they say that an email is not sufficient and that my father has to log into the Varatad site and upload his info and license directly.
My father does that. By this time, his birthday is long past. No email is received. I get a warning from cigars.com that my order will soon expire if age is not verified. So, I call them, ask to speak to a supervisor, and explain my situation and that if the order is not approved and shipped today, I will cancel it. They finally, after some checking, agreed and approved the order.
2 weeks and all of those hoops do not make for an experience I will ever wish to repeat.

I sent an email and received a canned message I would get a response to my inquiry in 2 to 3 days. I finally called customer service and was told my credit card payment had failed and I needed to call my bank for a refund. Wasted 25 minutes here and won't be using them again.
Cigars.com are crooks
Cigars.com are crooks, buy them somewhere else!, I’ve been buying cigars from Cigars.com for several years. I ordered twenty four cigars but only received fourteen. I immediately emailed them to which I was told the box weight was correct so I could file a complaint with UPS. I then called and was told the same thing, but the box was sealed!! Sheisty!

Awful quality on last box of cigars ordered. When I complained was told that the box was over the 30 day guarantee so too bad. Spent THOUSANDS of dollars prior to this box. Rewards program also sucks.

These guys are hucksters
These guys are hucksters. A few weeks back I created an account, and immediately received an email inviting me to order with free shipping with an order over $50. I put together a $75 order and went to the check out and saw a shipping charge. I used their dumb bot text and “Jennifer” (ya right) told me I was mistaken regarding the free shipping. I cut and pasted the promotion email and (Jennifer - ya right) told me I was confusing cigars.com with another online cigar shop. Oy.
I immediately canceled my account and here’s the kicker. I used an email address that I only use for suspicious vendors and low and behold, within a day I began to receive 25 spam emails a day.
Again, hucksters, stay away from them. Prices are higher than your neighborhood smoke shop anyway.

Mi experiencia es muy mala con ellos ,anteriormente hice un pedido de 40 tabacos y nunca me llegaron (me devolvieron el dinero )al mes de próximo de la pérdida y volví a encargar 40 más con envío de 2 días y resulta que me salen con que los pedí después de las 12 am del miércoles 19junio y ahora me llegan el lunes 24 de junio ,además uno habla con ellos y tienen una pésima atención al cliente no compro más con ellos

My wife ordered cigars from them on Wednesday and paid for 3 day shipping so they would arrive on, or around, my birthday on the following Tuesday. That was almost 3 weeks ago and we haven't even gotten a tracking number yet. She called them and they pass the buck saying, "Sorry, they were picked up so it's in UPS's hands now." They refuse to do anything to remedy the situation. Ludicrous.
Paid $24 extra for 2 day ship
I ordered 2 day ship which was an extra $24 on top of regular shipping, ordered on Wednesday 5/29/2024 and now expected to receive by UPS on Monday 6/3/2024. My order was in processing for 1 full day and that was Thursday 5/30/2024, before shipping on Friday 5/31/2024. I should have received my order on Friday 5/31/2024 instead of the following Monday. Horrible shipping will never order from this business again, no faith.
No complaints great cigars
No complaints great cigars. I’m not in a hurry so I use economy shipping. So far I have ordered hundreds of cigars and a Humidor. After getting plenty of sampler packs I can take my time for a favorite stick. Right not it’s Oliva either O or G. They are both excellent. I do park each shipment at 70% humidity for a few weeks. Just in case.

They make promotional claims of offering a discount when joining their mailing list, which they do not provide. I've contacted them several times requesting the discounts the advertised in their marketing emails, which again they do not honor. I've asked them many times to remove me from their mailing list and they just send more and more emails.
Just another spam collection email list of false promises. Products are at least real.
I dont even get a shipping…
I dont even get a shipping confirmation? I kept going to the website to track my order. It takes me to USPS which states the tracking number is wrong or status is not available yet. This goes on for a wk. I assume it’s the holidays and it just hasn’t shipped. I finally decide to chat with these bozos and the system gives me an ups link! So which one is it? The ups link says I have to update my address. It said box ***…. Not sure why they left off the p.o. So I update it to say P.O. Box *** now I have to wait and see how far back this “change” will put my delivery date. Bad business and I totally regret giving them a dime. I’m gonna check out cigars daily.

They buy huge quantities of packaged cigars (Black & Mild) but you eventually get 6-8 month outdated product until they sell that quantity. The idiot who answers their listed phone number only takes orders. Typical POS net company.
Tried to send cigars as a gift
Tried to send cigars as a gift, total disaster. My buddy sent the host scotch and all that was needed was UPS driver verify over 21. Cigars.com requires on-line which does not work. To check on status of delievery ….. back to age verification.
If you call the toll free number Tanya will fix it but trying to navigate their email for age verification is a nightmare

terrible company. They lie, hold your money, dont respond your emails or calls. If you dont call them, they dont refund you! Do not ever order from them. There are a lot of other websites, use them. It was my mistake that i ordered before i search this website.
