You should only apply for their cards…

You should only apply for their cards as a backup, not your main one. The customer service is terrible — slow, unhelpful, and downright frustrating. Their verification process is a nightmare: they ask for your SSN, card number, security word — basically every detail possible — and after all that, you still end up waiting 20 days for some outdated physical letter to complete verification.

Don’t even think about using this as your primary card. They have a habit of blocking your card without notice, leaving you stranded in the worst moments. Save yourself the headache — this card is more trouble than it’s worth.

Home Depot credit card replacement debacle

I am writing to formally escalate an unresolved issue with my Home Depot credit card replacement request. Despite more than four months of effort, I have still not received a replacement card.
Here is a summary of what has happened so far:
I have contacted customer service at least five times and was told on multiple occasions that new cards had been mailed out. None ever arrived.
I was instructed to visit a Home Depot store in person to verify my identity. I complied with this request, presented valid identification, and was told again that the cards would be sent. They never arrived.
More recently, I was transferred to the Fraud Department, which claimed they had mailed me paperwork to verify my identity. I never received this paperwork.
Throughout this process, the customer service representatives and fraud department agents have been incompetent, repeatedly failing to complete requests or provide meaningful assistance. Instead, I have been given empty assurances with no results.
This delay has gone on for over four months and is preventing me from accessing my account. I have acted in good faith, provided the information requested, and followed every step, yet the problem persists.
At this point, I am requesting that this matter be resolved immediately. Specifically, I am asking that:
A replacement card be issued and delivered without further delay.
I be provided written confirmation of the status of my account and the mailing details of my new card.
Any restrictions or fraud flags be resolved so that I can use my account normally.
This matter be reviewed internally, as the conduct of multiple service and fraud representatives has been unacceptable and should be addressed.
If this issue cannot be resolved promptly, I will have no choice but to escalate further, including filing a complaint with [U.S.: the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau / Canada: the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada].

My Citi Costco card has been gerat.

My Citi Costco card has been great. The interest rate if ok, the limits, ease of use and benefits are very good. Also it has an interest free payment plan for large purchases. I just used for a 3500 medical expense. Also ... you use it at costco. Yes, the fee is high. Like Prime. I have pretty much earned that back.

What a Terrible Company...Dishonest....Don't Believe Their No Customer Risk Advertisements

I have a Citi Visa, through BestBuy. Additionally, I have used it for several years. To be brief, I had a major issue with a company that sold broken merchandise. The company, from China, refused to replace the device and didn't abide by their warranty. As this was clearly fraud, I contacted Citi and disputed the funds. At first, Citi gave me a temporary credit to my credit card, but ultimately denied the claim. I, therefor, added more information, conclusively proving the fraud. Citi credited the card again, so I called them. The representative stated my money was refunded. I thoughts this was great, so I bout a device from another company. Several weeks later, the money was pulled back out of my account and I received a denial letter. The letter stated I would need to send a typed letter "snail male" to them. I found the Chinese company essentially sent Citi a chat I had with them without context, as the device intermittently failed. Finally, I am preparing the physical letter and will never do business on the card again or with Citi. Shame on you Citi!

Got a HomeDepot card thru Citi

Got a HomeDepot card through Citibank Retail Services, and tried to enter a new debit card but you're not allowed to unless you call them. I called them and they wouldn't take my card on the phone either, because they said there was a problem with my bank. This new debit card has been used for gasoline and coffee so there's no problem with the card, it's with Citibank! I'm sick of having to call them to pay my bill, because their website won't allow me to pay it online! This is Citibank, right? What the hell is going on with these people?? Is there a way to actually make them act normal?

Worst bank in America..

Worst bank in America... I am famished by the people that say there is some merit to this bank not being defunded and dismantled. I shouldn't have to explain why they are bad, you should just run the other way... every other bank in the world is better in every other way.

Citi bank sent me the wrong card

Citi bank sent me the wrong card, but won't send me correct one now
Citi bank sent me an ATM card to replace my out of date Debit card. I live in the UK, so there are no US ATM's here in UK, what a joke!!!! So now I can't use card to make online or telephone purchases!! I have been on phone 3 times to them for hours, they can't send a correct debit card, even though it was their mistake!!! as they can't verify me on a UK phone!! Total trash company to treat customers this way!

Absolutely the worst customer service& Archeick processes of verification

I am an active duty service member and I spent 6 years overseas. I had an account with them that had my old phone number and address. I no longer have access to any of them since my phone number was given away by Sprint last year while I was stationed in Germany and I currently live in Kentucky. I am unable to access my account since their website is asking for verification via a phone number that I no longer have access to. I spent hours on the phone with them and they kept telling me that the only way they could verify my account was if I gave them the account number - which they never gave when I opened the account online while I was in Germany. Now they are holding my 1800 dollars and I have no way of accessing the account. The customer service would hang up or transfer me back to the beginning of the queue to wait for another useless customer service rep. When I asked them to tell me how I could verify myself they kept repeating that the only way is through my phone number that is on their file or a letter to my old address. I offered them any possible way to verify me- even told them when the account was opened, how much money is there, and who opened it since I did it via chat and I saved the reference ID for that, I could tell them the day, time and minute when the account was opened, where the money for the deposit came from ...but no, none of that is enough... I mean isn't this insane? This is the worst bank I have ever encountered. They literally want to steal your money and don't care about customers at all.... Now I will have to fly to one of the only 6 cities where they have a branch to spend half the money to get at least the second half back ...and they have the nerve to send you a satisfaction survey ...I will never ever do any business with them again and I strongly advise you do the same.

This is NOT a bank

This is NOT a bank, the service center is in Philippines and they do NOT know how to help customers. I have called this bank over a month, talk to many ppl asking to close my accounts. Non of them are able to help. Over years without giving any service, they keep charging from me 12 usd each month. 100% fake.

Worst websites ever

Worst websites ever, for retail cards home depot, mobile, sunoco, shell. Can't log in, can't change password, can't get help, support stinks. Can't switch between cards, constantly complaining about previous windows open. # Need one website location to manage all cards, one password. # The computer engineers should be reprimanded for building a system this incompetent.

I cannot log in, when I want to recover my user name or password it ask for security questions I’ve never used before and I have no answer to, also when I call any of the numbers on the card it doesn’t give me the statement to see my previous payments and all the payments I have already made towards paying off the balance haven’t posted to Best Buy system so I went to pay my tv in person and they said my balance was the same as when I purchased it, like none of my payments except my last payment was accounted for. When did my money go?? Also there is no option to speak to an agent. :,(

It is impossible to use their website. You cannot login. Loading icon is turning infinitely. I cannot help but think they are doing this deliberately to make us pay the late fee?

The Worst website EVER

The WORST website EVER! I just canceled my two accounts and transfered the balances to another card. It's impossible to make a payment without calling to speak with a rep, all of whom speak with such strong accents, I hang up in frustration. Also, it turns out....the Shell Mastercard that is used at the pump for 10 cents a gallon discount DOESN'T OFFER A MOBIL APP!!!! which forces you to log into their crappy website or call just to make a payment! It's a Catch 22!

Average, poor communication regarding technology

While I have had no general problems with Citi, I find that there is no place to provide comments or report something wrong on the website. The secure messages sit unread forever and there are no links for these things. I don't want to call tech support to talk to a level 1 agent because the account site is not mobile friendly and because I get "minimum due" alerts even though I have scheduled a payment. This bugs me to no end because it makes me waste time checking on something I've already done. Seems a simple fix but no way to give my input. So, company is average in every way and they don't care to improve apparently.

I would definitely give a 0 if…

I would definitely give a 0 if possible. Impossible to reach by phone. If you can reach, they can not fix anything as simple as login difficulty. I have 2 consumer cards with them and would cancel if it were not for the length of my credit on them.

Beware of CITI Bank they Care nothing for customers!

I have had a business credit card for nearly 5 years, I was enrolled in auto pay however, I generally paid $1000.00 on the card before the auto pay, Imagine my shock when after paying $2000.00 on the card exactly 1 month ago they informed me I was 4 days late on my payment and increased my interest rate by 7%! I called to talk to a representative...the person I spoke to had absolutely ZERO understanding and couldn't care less! I asked its 4 days late, I was on Auto pay, I always pay 3 times my minimum and during this time with the pandemic and my business closed down Citi Bank is going to do this? She said I cannot override the system! But, I can reduce my interest by paying on time for the next 12 months!
