Climastar UK Liquidated – No Support from Spanish Parent Climastar Global Company S.L.

Climastar has been confirmed as being in liquidation as of 13 March 2026. The way this company and its parent company (Climastar Global Company S.L.) handled the situation is extremely frustrating.

The radiators and thermostats had ongoing problems, to the point that employees from Spain had to be involved multiple times — resolution never happened and the issues continued. One of our radiators exploded and one stopped working altogether. Our radiators were under a 10-year warranty, but both Climastar UK and Climastar Spain did not provide support.

I have also read multiple reports online about customers, including elderly people, experiencing serious problems with no recourse. The UK directors have since opened a new company in the same industrial estate with the same type of business (SIC 43220), while directors from the parent company resigned just before liquidation.

Here is a simplified timeline based on publicly available Companies House records:

BIOW UK LIMITED (company no. 13198390), is the company that operated as “Climastar UK” in the UK for so many years. (SIC 43220 – plumbing, heat and air-conditioning installation)

• 1 Aug 2025: David Anthony Thomas appointed as director of BIOW UK LIMITED
• 1 Oct 2025: Pedro Luis Llana García, Alejandro Loredo Fernández, and Jorge Luis Martínez resigned as directors of BIOW UK LIMITED (all of these directors were from the parent company)
• 10 Dec 2025: CLIMASTAR UK LTD (16903143) incorporated (currently active, listed as dormant), with David Anthony Thomas as director
• 27 Jan 2026: PURE HOME IMPROVEMENTS LTD (16990223) incorporated, with David Anthony Thomas and Daniel Richard Peter Roberts as directors, with the same SIC 43220 and located a few doors down from BIOW UK LIMITED
• 13 Mar 2026: BIOW UK LIMITED (13198390) goes into liquidation with Cowgills as liquidator

This resembles a “phoenix company” pattern, where the parent Spanish company resigned its directors just before BIOW UK LIMITED went into liquidation—effectively removing their oversight and avoiding UK liabilities—leaving customers without support or warranty recourse, while a new UK entity is incorporated in the same estate, starting fresh and similarly avoiding the old company’s liabilities.

Based on my experience, I would recommend exercising caution if you are considering Climastar products or working with Pure Home Improvements LTD in the future — particularly given the lack of support and the current uncertainty around the business structure.

I have been unable to contact anyone at Climastar about my broken radiator. I have tried phone, email, website and I even sent a letter! The magna stone on one of my Harmony radiators has cracked and split, thus making it unsafe to use. Is there anyone who can help? I need a new magna stone for a 1kW radiator.

Very very disappointed from September…

Very very disappointed from September 25 still waiting from them to complete everything taken my money & not delivered get no reply to my e-mail or call never use them the rep saying his not working for the company is engaging in scam-like behavior. Paid Climstar first & second payment they taken company name is Sq *biow Uk Limited Stoke-on-tren they are both the same I think

Trading Standards

Further to my post about complaining to CAB so that Trading Standards can get involved, I had one of there electric combi boilers fitted in May 25 and didn't notice until the heating started coming on in October that the boiler had a serious pressure issue I was having to top it up constantly even during the night. I reported it on the 27th October and took them until 8th December to send someone to look at it. Engineer attended without parts did nothing to the Boiler and left saying if it comes back in it needs a pressure relief valve. Reported it again the same day engineer left they sent another engineer 2 weeks later without part so still no repair. I have been dealing with trading standards since early January and my problem is now resolved, this is not by Climastar fixing the Boiler I had it removed and went back to gas however I did manage to get all my money back through the bank and Visa due to breach of contract and not fixing it within a reasonable time

I had four radiators installed in 2022

I had four radiators installed in 2022, and one stopped working a month ago. I have been trying to get in touch with the company to get it fixed since it came with guarantees that are still in date, but no response to phone calls, emails or contact form on their website. Very disappointing right now in terms of customer service and support for what is an expensive product. Please get in touch with me.

Small claims court

Have just stated small claims procedure, Took 20 mins online ,with a fee of £115 , If any one else needs to do so . A scam of a company!!!! Good luck in getting your moneys back or problems sorted

Avoid Avoid!!!!! they are just scammers I suspect gone bust. Countless emails, online forms, leaving a message as they never answer the phone. My Dad is 90 and mum has care needs and they have been left with no heater since Christmas - the system has only been fitted a few months!!!. I am raging! I will be contacting Trading Standards, Companies House ...and anyone else who will listen. I also intend to contact the Director of the company as he now seems to be creating new businesses as well!!!!

Expensive to buy, expensive to run, unreliable.

I bought a (somewhat expensive) Climastar Thera hybrid combi boiler in August 2022.

The boiler did not work when installed, a fault was traced to a manufacture fault in a control board. Once replaced, the boiler worked fine.

Running costs were far higher than anticipated, but it worked until 2024, when the internal tank started to leak. There was a 4 day lead time before the tank could be replaced which left me without heating and hot water until it was repaired.

In January 2025 a problem was diagnosed with the return valve, which caused the heating circuit to run whenever the domestic hot water was being heated. A part was ordered which as of 16th February 2025 I am still waiting for.

In the meantime, the boiler has stopped running the heating circuit at all. I have had to buy oil-filled radiator to heat mu house. Ironically, they are slightly cheaper to run than the boiler.

In the 3.5 years since it was installed it has failed three times.

I have been trying to contact Climastar for several hours now with no response. Nobody picks up the phone. Messages have been left, but nobody has responded to my call for help. It is worth noting that support is listed as being available during office hours only. If it fails over the weekend you're on your own.
I have a replacement for this 3.5 year-old boiler on the way but it has failed before it can be replaced.

This has been an expensive and disappointing experience.

I've had and still have the similar…terrible experience with this company

I've had and still have the similar terrible experience with Climastar UK. After several efforts with phone calls and eventually with threatening emails, I managed to get an engineer to visit. He identified that the radiator was ok but the thermostat was not and will send a new one within a week. We are still within warranty period. Nothing from them for nearly a month now. Very frustrating as every other terribly treated reviewer, all contacts with Climastar are "leave a message".
Maybe is time that a number of us can join together and take the company to court, maybe through the Small Claims of under £10,000. I am not good at this as I have never done it but I am so frustrated, I am prepared to join with others that can lead. As one earlier reviewer said, "what am I to do with the wonderfully hard stones inside the radiator that only coolly stares me in the face but bang my head on it!"

I have been looking into more of this as people are getting frustrated and looking how this business is leaving people is disgraceful BUT looking at companies house the new director Dave has now opened up a new business across the road from their original head office

I urge everyone to look them up on companies house search CLIMASTAR UK LTD this and possibly go to the new office

Has Climaster UK gone out of business

Has Climaster UK gone out of business? I have a problem with one heater which which wouldn't pair with the thermostat. Called a local electrician to check the fuse in the wall socket. It had blown, was replaced, but still couldn't pair. Electrician thought that something had blown in the radiator.
Phoned Climaster several times over 3 days but was immediately transferred to answering machine. My concern is that should I have problem with my 2 other radiators I am left without heating.

Non existent Customer Service

In December 2024 I had a new boiler installed. All went well and I was very pleased. Last night something in it failed and we now have no central heating! I have spent the morning leaving messages and phoning on all available numbers. No one is responding. The main name on their website is no longer part of the UK company and I am now at a loss! Their Customer Service response is truly appalling.

Don't be taken in by good looks and smooth speech!!

These radiators are elegant and stylish and when they work, the consumption is reasonable BUT
the aftersales service is deplorable. I have had the system about 3 years and think I was taken in by good looks and smooth publicity. It is now a month since 2 of my 3 radiators ceased working. The thermostats are just not talking to the radiators no matter how closely I follow the complex instructions. After several frustrating phone calls, I was booked for an engineers' visit a week ago. No one came, they are not answering phone calls or replying to e-mails so I am reliant on old space heaters. At my age (I am closer to 90 than 70!) it is just not good enough. Have they gone bankrupt? I am beginning to wonder. I am considering replacing the system by something installed by a local firm with local agents countrywide. Then a least I shall have a choice of help if anything goes wrong. Don't be taken in by good looks and smooth speech!!

Poor electrical installation.

Poor electrical installation of boiler resulted in a house fire. We were without heating and hot water for two days. The company do not reply to letters, emails or phone calls and it cost us £2000 to repair the damage. Avoid at all cost!

Radiator issues - no response from Climastar

Like another reviewer here, the one star is for the sunamp boiler which, after some major teething problems, now runs well together with our solar. Unfortunately, the radiators are a disaster. One of our spurs burned out and, when we got a professional electrician in to sort it, he described the wiring as dangerous and inconsistent with UK regs. Specifically, the radiators weren't earthed and faulty wiring could have turned the radiator live. The heating element was damaged too. He checked all the other radiators and found similar problems (the wiring turned out to be the original problem with the Sunamp too). We have been trying to contact Climastar for ages trying to get the situation resolved, but they never take or return our calls. We wonder if they've gone under. We are forced now to go down a legal route. If anyone else here has had similar problems, please let us know.
