In my experience, i placed an order for around £600, i either got the items, or i was refunded. communication was slow, to say the least, there is no denying that, but we got there in the end.

This is not a big company, to my understanding, this is a one man operation. So everything takes time.

I see other reviews saying, they have been scammed, i can only speak for myself but, i wasnt scammed, i think... this is a genuine seller who is just a bit short on time, and is juggling other things.

The items i ordered were very rare, hard to find, i had been searching for a long time and he did get them in the end so, i am happy with my order.

You need to be very patient, things do not move quicky. But if you are searching for something rare, Tom might be the right person to track it down and get it for you.

Well I have had to issue a small claims against this fraudulent company. They lied on their court papers stating I had received the parcel. I asked them numerous times to escalate this with Evri which they refused to do as I hadn't received the item. I have had to contact Evri myself and they have just sent me confirmation that the item was returned to the sender (colchester militaria) on the 17th December! I have notified the courts and now await my refund as well as the court fees which will now be applied to them too.
I really wouldn't advise purchasing from this company

Delivered the item requested. Excellent service, despite slight courier delay due to Christmas & New Year.

N’achetez rien chez lui c’est un véritable escrocs, et encore plus si vous êtes à l’international ( il autorise les envois , j’ai d’ailleurs payé en conséquence par virement avec tout les frais ) mais pendant certainement que sa n’irait pas plus loin il fait la sourde oreille depuis le paiement en affirmant que ce dernier n’est jamais arrivé ( ma banque a lancée une enquête auprès de la sienne prouvant le contraire ).
Les avis positifs, sont sans doute tous des amis à lui ( bandes de guignoles) car à y regarder de plus prêt il est coutumier du fait !

After initial problems getting in touch with tom( phone number doesn't work) I emailed him and got a reply within 24hrs. After reading other reviews I was so worried I had lost my money and been scammed but He very kindly dropped my purchase to my house,as I was fairly local to him. He works alone and has been inundated with orders over the Christmas period, bare with him, he will get to you. Hope this helps

Purchased an AK47 magazine from here, and my experience was very positive, communication was a little awkward but I think that is due to opening times (Friday and Saturday). I did email them and the reply did take a few days but was within their opening times. They did communicate with the dispatch date and item arrived three days later. Very pleased with the quality, would use them again.

I should have looked at the reviews before buying.
Like many others, I bought an item on their website on 10/31/2025 that I paid the same day by bank transfer, in the requested currency (pound sterling) to the account specified by the seller (IBAN sent with the order confirmation). I have also paid the full fees for the international bank transfer in a currency other than euros.
Since that day, the seller tells me that he never received the transfer.
I therefore requested a survey from my bank which confirmed to me that the seller’s bank had received the bank transfer on 11/04/2025.
After having informed the seller by providing him with all the evidence (message from my bank, extracts from my bank account and copy of the transfer), he no longer responds to my messages.
I thought at first that it could be a mistake on the part of the seller in the statement of their accounts, then an incompetence on the part of the latter, but it is indeed dishonesty and fraud.

I HAVE THEREFORE JUST FILED A COMPLAINT AND I INVITE YOU ALL TO DO THE SAME .

Scam website. I did not receive my order. I requested delivery details or a refund at several points over two months to no avail.

Never received order, no communication total scammers, do not order from this site

Very uncommunicative was expecting my order days ago still not arrived their phone line seems to be out of order, I don't suppose they care about the little orders, I have requested a full refund I'll wait and see what happens if no joy trading standards may become involved.

I ordered an item on 22nd May from Colchester Militaria, I should have realised something was not right when they would only accept payment via bank transfer, after paying I received an invoice/receipt and then silence, the item never arrived, in fact I don't think it was ever actually dispatched. When I tried to contact them after waiting for delivery for nearly 2 weeks, my emails and Facebook messages were ignored, their WhatsApp contact and phone number doesn't exist and there is no way to contact them via their website.
I realise I have lost the money I spent, so please be aware and avoid this company at all costs.

Same as other reviewers, I made the payment but never receive goods. Utterly ignored my email for demanding a refund . Interestingly they dare to send me news update in the email so I decided to put this review after knowing them still alive :)

I placed an order on 24 December 2024 for an item listed as in stock but I still hadn't received it by January 15th 2025 so I emailed colchester militaria to be told it was out of stock but would be back in stock in a few weeks but he couldn't tell me how many weeks so I asked him to cancel my order and refund me it's now 24th February 2025 and after sending lots of emails most have been ignored I still don't have my refund.I am now about to start a claim the the small clamps court!
Do not buy anything from colchester militaria!!!

Avoid this shop they are scammers. I had to go through money claims in order to receive a significant amount of money they owed me which took almost a year. Please take heed of the other negative reviews and avoid this shop or you’ll lose your money too.

Definitely a scam like others say. Friend of mine bought an item and never received it, hundreds of pounds in the hole. There are also multiple items listed on the website that have their photos taken from other militaria websites.
You may get whatever you're buying after months of waiting or maybe you'll get nothing, don't waste your money.

Ok so it takes a little while to get your order, but I received both mine in the end. I communicated through email to the sales address. Both items came exactly as promised. I would only say that patience can be rewarded. Don't jump to conclusions and remain polite. We got there in the end and was very happy with the results.

I contacted the above company in reference to not receiving my goods ordered on the 22nd of October 2024. He then promised a refund by COP on Sunday the 27th of October 2024 stating he was in Disney World and would refund on his return on the 27th of October 2024. I contacted him again on the 28th of October 2024 and he still hasn't forwarded my refund. My advice is to report to the rouge traders, police action fraud number available within the internet, and also your local ombudsperson and fair trading standards which I have. STAY WELL CLEAR OF THIS BUSINESS THE REVIEWS ARE HORRENDOUS.

complete rip off.paid £38 for a k98 cleaning kit 5 weeks ago and still hasnt arrived.they dont reply to emails and never answer the phone.reading the rest of the reviews on here its got to be a scam.would avoid at your peril.will tell my reenactment group to avoid this site.
