My son with accommodations was Not allowed to test today
Kevin Escobar, the attendant at the site at Fontana High school today March 8th 2025.
Last testing room started at 8:30am. 9:10am was the last start time and he would not let my so in for testing. Showed no care and no willing to help. Kevin Escobar obviously going off on a power trip and should not be allowed to work for the College Board. He claimed that the digital ID given by the school district was not valid for my son at this Fontana facility. He did not accept the digital ID. I informed him, my daughter was currently testing at the Riverside Convention center and used the same type digital form of ID. This has placed my son at a huge disadvantage for acceptance into the Universities he applied for. He has placed a dent in my son's career and as a child with disabilities this is the last thing he needed, place more barriers on his future and at a disadvantage. We explained this to Kevin Escobar but without interest or care he said he was fallowing rules. I would like to know these rules he talks about because none of this makes sense and my son should have been allowed to test today.

Fifteen days and counting to "create a code" to send my director of schools in order to grant me access to public school district AP scores. Two calls following the original ticket request and nothing has changed.

If I could give this organization zero stars I would. My children are registered in the AP chemistry exam. Two months ago I ordered 2 chemistry manuals from their online store. It was international shipping to Canada. Not only did they fail to send me the books, they sent me a digital SAT guide by mistake. It has been two months of trying to deal with them and they still have not refunded me or sent me the right books. They are now, two months later, asking me to ship the SAT book back via international shipping in order for them to process any sort of refund. I have asked them to elevate it to managers, but apparently you cannot talk to a manager because managers are only available on their backend system by email to each other. So I have gone two months without appropriate textbooks or support for my children while having paid hundreds of dollars that has not been refunded (or serviced) and they are trying to penalize me more by forcing me to pay more money for very expensive international shipping instead of sending the mistaken book back on their own Purolator account. This company has zero accountability and their customer service is worse than the airlines.
Terrible outsourced customer service
Called to check on the status of a request I sent 2 weeks ago since it says their turnaround time is 2 weeks. I know it's the holidays so I was just curious if I could expect a delay. Instead of saying "we never received it, please submit your request again." I got the runaround for over a half hour. She was more than happy to tell me she couldn't tell me anything about my account and couldn't help me when I didn't know which address she wanted for the third time (my current address or my address at the time I took the test.) She also told me that I didn't have an account, which I had open on my laptop during the whole call. Then refused to hang up so I could take the survey that I had agreed to at the end of the call.
AP Archived Scores
This is the first time in my life that I have ever expressed a bad review about any company, institution, anything. I’m currently applying to graduate school, of which colleges need the AP scores in order to accept the application. First, I faxed the form, called to see if the fax was received, and was told to call back in 3-5 business days which is a horrible process because then if the form is not received, it would take ANOTHER 3-5 business days to find out if it is even received. Then to say that it takes 15 days to simply send out the scores is outrageous! That means that you have to wait 5-7 on top of the 15 days to even get it in the mail. On top of it I’m paying 25 dollars to get a score that takes an average of 30 days to even be sent to me. I cannot understand how the scores can’t be emailed instead of mailed, which would only save your organization money. Also for students that are applying to colleges, run the risk of not even getting accepted pending that their scores will take about 30 days to be received by the college if they took a test before 2018, which accounts for all the students going to graduate and doctorate school. Clearly your organization does not see the importance of these students education because you archived their scores and made the process so long and frustrating to be apart of.
Horrific Customer Support
I am a college student who took 2 AP exams in high school and received my scores for them on college board. I underwent a legal name change and requested my name to be changed in order to send my scores to my college, which only has record of my new name. It has been almost 6 months and my name has still not been changed. We have called customer support several times, each time receiving a different answer and being put on hold for 30+ minuetes. I have sent them my birth certificate and license with my new name twice, and still nothing. Again it has been months and there’s still been no change. Their customer service is horrific if you need any help with any account problems.
Test Site not prepared for online examination
I recently encountered significant issues with the administration of the SAT through College Board. On the exam day, the staff was unable to connect their devices to the school Wi-Fi, resulting in over an hour of delays before ultimately sending approximately 40 students home without administering the test. Despite advertising that they had equipment available if needed, the students were not provided with the necessary tools, leaving them without a means to take the exam after their school tablets failed to connect. After logging case numbers and promising responses within 10 to 14 business days, my case was closed without proper communication, leaving students and parents without the necessary information and support. The lack of accountability and organization demonstrated by College Board raises serious concerns about their capability to manage such an important exam. I urge others to consider these factors when choosing a testing provider.
From an AP Teacher's Perspective
I teach an AP course. Nearly everything I do is online with all my courses which includes FACTS (RenWeb), Google Classroom, TurnItIn, and previously Schoology (which is a phenomenal LMS, by the way).
The College Board website is extremely awkward to navigate and does not at all provide information in a neatly formatted, easy to access manner. Logging in takes many more steps than any of the online sites I mentioned above, and requires some guessing until one memorizes the steps to get to a particular class.
Accessing quizzes to assign or review is extremely tedious. Quizzes have to be searched individually since there's no gradebook format that contains students' names and all their scores in one place. Furthermore, each quiz defaults to irrelevant information requiring the teacher to drill deeper each time to find out how students scored.
College Board, if you read this review, please hire somebody familiar with web design to overhaul your site. You certainly can afford it.
If I could give less than 1 star, I would do it now!
My son took the test on 24 August 2024 and has still not received the test result.
He has opened a ticket at least 10 times with College Board Customer Care and has only received pre-filled answers.
No one has helped him understand why the grade has still not been released after 2 months.

$29 cancellation fee because you can't switch dates
If you're going to need to reschedule an SAT because your child's schedule changes after having to schedule the exam months in advance before seats fill up, know that they will charge you a $29 cancellation fee. Almost half of the $68 registration fee. It stinks that this is the only way for kids to access the SAT - through a "non-profit" that seems anything but. When I emailed them about the high fee and asked why we couldn't reschedule without cancelling and re-registering, they simply replied with a lengthy explanation of what the exam fees cover. When I responded that they didn't explain the high cancellation fee, they responded asking for 23 items of data so they could confirm which file they needed to look at. Ridiculous.
The SAT test is no longer a standardized test
The SAT test is no longer a standardized test. Students taking the test at the same date/time receive different questions. "Standardized Test" means that everyone has the chance to answer the exact same questions and students are evaluated on the exact same material.

Just another business trying to squeeze as much money out of people as they can. I was on a call for over a half hour. I didn't know that my daughter would take the test through her school. I wanted to cancel the date that we registered for in December. They want to charge me a $30 cancellation fee. I love how this is acceptable.Absolute scam.

Collegeboard helped me with my educational future. The best thing about preparing for their exam is that they provide the exam takers some free practice exams which are similar to the real exam, that helped me a lot to get ready for the exam

I forgot my password to my account because I made my College Board account 4 years ago. To find a solution to my problem I tried resetting my password, but I would not get an email confirmation or SMS code. I called customer service and as helpful as they were they couldn't fix my problem. I need to access my SAT scores for college. I looked this up to see if other people were experiencing this problem, and they were. College board, you need to fix this. Its ridiculous.
College Board is useless
My daughter receives accommodations and was sent to the wrong location then tell me she has 14 days to reschedule the test and they will get back to me. When we got within days of not hearing back I requested a refund and scheduled her for the next date so that she wouldn't miss again. They denied my refund because it wasn't within 5 days of the test! The one they misled my daughter on.
The next test was scheduled with her school but after speaking with her counselor, they aren't a testing site. CB would not relocate her test without the SSD coordinator closing the calendar. The counselor called CB with my daughter and explained they are not a testing site. They told her they would "escalate" and email her within a week with a new location. They did not. Her test is in 2 days and they now tell me they can't reschedule her because it's less then 5 days before the test.
I have called 13 times and opened 7 claim numbers and they always tell me they will "escalate" and call me back and never once did they call me back. I can't get anyone on the phone to help me. They all tell me the same thing and transfer me around and never help.
My daughter is the one getting the shaft as she needs to test to apply for school in the fall. They have sabotaged 2 testing dates now. AND won't give me a refund for the test we paid for that they couldn't accommodate her for.

Software is Windows/Chrome dependent. My child signed up for March test date and couldn't take it because he didn't have his password. Set up for the May testing the counselor was able to wave the fee since the first exam never happened. Exam just came back. Parents should allow their own kids to set up accounts as it is easier to link it to school emails so schools have access. The physical ticket is no longer needed to take the test.
All I wanted to do was print off admissions ticket
I was trying to print off my son's addmissions ticket. Usually you just print it but now you have to download Bluebook. I tried for over an hour, but then realized I didn't have the requirements to download Bluebook. We only own apple devices and needed windows. The agent I called for help wouldn't help me at all just said you need to get a device with this type of software. I asked to speak to a manager and she say no. Worst customer care. All I wanted was to get my son's admissions ticket.
I have had horrible customer service…
I have had horrible customer service from College Board. The agents not only know their own system showing how disconnected their company is, their processes and procedures are also outdated and unclear. I have spent months getting a simple name change updated in their system and there has not been ANY movement yet.
