College board Customer Service
The customer service is no help at all. I can tell the answer they'll tell you. "Okay, I am going to move this forward at a high priority and you will receive a follow up email. And then you wait for months until you give up and ultimately lose the money.
Nonresponsive, impossible to deal with.
Educators: please do not subject your students to this group. Currently, my high school student's grades are in jeopardy because his teacher assigned something that can only be done on the College Board website. But he can't log into the website, and there is no solution available. College Board won't respond to emails from myself or my child/student. They won't reset a login code. Multiple phone calls to customer service have found us on hold for over 45 minutes. They simply won't respond. Seems like a lost cause to me! Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Completely agree with other "1" reviews.
IT is not good. They tell you things that are not possible on the "user" end, and they swear by them. Is like they haven't even tried to use their website and portal as an actual user. Extremely frustrated that "customer service" cannot deviate from their script and give you actual reasonable answers to one's request and issues with their system. Customer service is very condescending and at the end unhelpful. They try to be "nice", but they don't solve any issues. You only get explanation on how they can't help you. I really hope that SAT/ACT administered by the College Board continue to not be required for college applications.
Worst exam organisation
After three months of back and forth, I am finally giving up my request to College Board! Since mid September, some 10 emails and 4 phone calls and impossible to get my simple question answered.
I mean it is evident that SAT is biased…

Confusion. Language barriers. Poor IT. Bad communication. Money grubbing. I have spent so much time dealing with them, trying to get test scores sent to a single (1) college. They have overseas operators who simply read repeatedly and badly from a sheet and make no attempt to understand the situation. As far as I know, no test scores have been sent, after three faxes, about ten phone calls, and several attempts to reset the online account. They have no idea if your fax was received or acted upon. I did just receive a charge on my bank card, for an amount that does not match the stated fee. Brace yourselves.

Our son took two tests as a sophomore and one as a junior but none as a senior. We paid $300 for these tests! As a senior, he did not take any tests. However, they will not send a free copy of his AP Test transcript to his ONE college at which he has chosen to attend, because their window for sending test scores was within 9 days of taking the test. This is ridiculous! He would neither have applied nor been accepted to a college as a sophomore or a junior, so sending scores would have made no sense. Would a school even retain transcripts of tests for students they have never heard of, who are not even old enough to attend college and have not applied to the school? Now we have to pay to have the one free transcript he should have received (per his high school) to send his AP test scores. The people are all overseas and do not understand the school system in the United States to understand why this doesn't make sense. They would not allow me to speak to a supervisor either. They claimed there is no way for them to now send the scores (even though she could verify that transcripts were never sent previously) without us paying.
Try to set up an account
Try to set up an account. It is virtually impossible. After you have given them ALL of your information, they will ask for your phone number as well. This is obviously so that they can sell it. THEN try to log in. You will get the ol' Unable To Log In message. They want you to resend everything so it is verified further and I guess when they sell your information for their profits it is worth more. Needs to be audited, then shut down, everyone there now fired, and start from scratch.

Bad service, degradation and corruption of the College Board
I was attempting to get my AP and SAT scores from 2004 and 2005, this year, February 2023 and March 2023. In my day back then in the early 00s, College Board for all purposes seemed a highly reputable company. All that has changed. For one, they now, these days, hide behind phone centers staffed by people who can't speak intelligible English at all! Two, they could not find my best SAT score, 1480/1600 from my junior year of High School, Fall 2004, of which I am proud of. I may still have official proof of it from back in those days somewhere in my own personal archives but for now I needed new proof of it. They found other scores like my AP scores and older SAT scores but not my best SAT score, which makes no sense. They made the excuse that after 4-5 years they are not responsible for keeping scores. They are the leading testing service in the United States, they ought to have the money and obligation to maintain scores and data via paper and electronic servers in perpetuity. With the poor customer service, the insult to injury of a firm that tests English speaking excellence hiding behind phone centers that can't speak intelligible English, all parents, students, schools, government and so on should be concerned about the College Board, hold them accountable and demand reform from their administration and executive leadership. I will be writing them a letter about this problem as well and expect that, as is most often the case in situations like this, they will never respond and do everything to ignore and sabotage all complaints! The score reports that they did send were juvenile, low quality and unprofessional, compared to in the past. The SAT score report, for instance, had pixelated fixidys font (I kid you not) and the date on the SAT scores was ambiguous, it did not specify whether it was the date of the Month or the Month plus year. Additionally, I earned three AP awards from my AP testing--AP Scholar, AP Scholar with Honors and AP Scholar with Distinction... they did not provide me with any proof of these awards (although I did receive a certificate for each of them back in 2004 and 2005 which I still have).
Critical website with too much downtime
This company is critical for many high school students applying to college, thus their responsibility to work well all the time.
CSS Profile, required to obtain financial aid in many colleges, has been down or at crawling speed for the entire month of October, application season.
It is a long application and instead of asking many questions in one screen, it forces you through 10 or more screens to complete the information of each of the 10 sections, it often locks up on you and after 10 minutes you have to log in.
iDOC lacks electronic forms other than 4 basic ones, thus you must download forms, manually fill them out and upload them.
It has taken me at least 5 days to complete a financial aid application and I am still pending final approval of the forms uploaded. This is a disservice to the parents and students already going through a lot at this time.

I would give a 0 if possible! Test date cancelled due to the hurricane in Fl. I called to move my student to the next date that works in our schedule and they are charging me the late fee!!!!! We are dealing with devastation and they won't wave a late fee after they cancelled! I didn't even do the cancellation. Unbelievable! They are corrupt!
TESTING SITE CLOSED AND UNWILLING TO MOVE US TO A NEW TESTING SITE
The college board refunded our money 2 days before the test. I called to have the location change and they told me the registration window closed. I did register months ago, I only need the location changed. Then the manager told me he would not change the location, he has no idea why the site closed, and nobody higher than him would want to talk to me. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

The worst experience ever
The worst experience ever. Even though I registered for SAT before deadline, and after i payed, the status of registration in website still showed incomplete. I had tried contacting them many times during this but all in vain. And after a wait of about 1 day, the money returned and the registration got cancelled. When i tried to register again, i had to pay the waitlist money (which is not a very small amount). I had tried emailing them and i got no replies. I even called the customer service twice and no one replied. In the first call, the voice assistant wasted my time for about 2 minutes and cancelled the call without letting me talk to any real person; in the second call the voice assistant wasted my time for about 5 mins and cancelled the call. Considering im living outside the USA and Canada, i had to pay alot just for the international call charges.
