My package arrived completely intact! Not a single thing was damaged. The door to door service was more than excellent! Would I recommend Conroy removals absolutely!

The last time I moved my belongings from the UK to Australia, the local delivery company (Kent Removals) charged $121 for Australian quarantine fees and no other costs. This time, Conroy had been chosen by Pickfords UK as their local partner to deliver my belongings. They charged a staggering $520 for what was a much smaller delivery. I had to repeatedly chase Conroy up to get an explanation of the costs and got a vague answer about their own admin costs in addition to the quarantine costs. I escalated to Pickfords in the UK who said they would ask Conroy to provide a fuller explanation of the costs, but none came. I feel completely ripped off by Conroy - but as a customer there is nothing you can do, as they have your stuff and would likely charge extra warehousing costs if you don't pay up whilst the charges are in dispute. To add insult to injury, when my 4 pictures arrived from the UK, one was smashed up, with small glass shards bursting out of the package.

From the very beginning of our move, Conroy Removals Australia New Zealand has been nothing short of exceptional. From the initial booking with David, who was incredibly helpful, professional and friendly, to collecting packing boxes and materials from Huntingwood, the service was outstanding. My order was already waiting at the door, right on opening time at 8:00 am! This level of organisation, efficiency and customer service set the tone for the entire experience.

The team who arrived at my storage facility in Gregory Hills, Sydney, were prompt, communicated brilliantly and treated our belongings with the greatest respect. They carefully loaded and secured everything, ensuring all our valuable possessions were accounted for. To have the contents of a four-bedroom home loaded from our storage shed onto the truck in just three hours was truly impressive. Their efficiency, teamwork and attention to detail were outstanding.

A special mention must also go to Helena in the Brisbane office, who was incredibly patient, accommodating and supportive throughout the customs paperwork process. She went above and beyond to assist with my requests, and her dedication is a real credit to the Conroy team. Cheryl was equally lovely, providing updates and reassurance along the way.

To Susan and the Auckland and Tauranga teams, thank you so much for keeping us informed throughout the journey. Your regular emails and phone calls regarding customs clearance, paperwork and the transit from the Bay of Plenty down to Hawke’s Bay made such a difference. Knowing we were kept in the loop every step of the way gave us great peace of mind.

Finally, a heartfelt thank you to the Hawke’s Bay delivery team for unloading everything and assisting my mother and son. Your kindness, care and willingness to help were genuinely appreciated.

For our family, Conroy Removals is so much more than a removal company. We have a long-standing history with the business, having used Conroy Removals when my mother moved from Hastings to Sydney following the passing of my grandparents, and again when she returned from Sydney to Hastings. I also have a personal connection to the Conroy family, as my grandfather was a friend of David Conroy, and I attended school in Taradale, Hawke’s Bay, with his granddaughters.

That personal history makes this experience even more meaningful. There is something truly special about being able to place your trust in a company that has been part of your family’s journey over many years and to experience the same professionalism, care and personal touch across generations.

After 26 years in Sydney, I look forward to the day I make my own move back home to Hastings, Hawke’s Bay, and I would not hesitate to choose Conroy Removals again.

Thank you for this great service from arrival of our shipment to Australia to delivery to our home address. Timelines and next steps were clearly communicated, together with regular updates on the status (custom clearance, quarantine, etc.). I appreciated that we could agree on a delivery date and a arrival window of 1 hour. The drivers who delivered the shipment to our address were 1. on time, 2. very polite and helpful.

I had the pleasure of working with Conroy Removals to bring my furniture and belongings from Bangalore, India to Hobart, Australia. In conjunction with ASG Wind, the partnership communicated brilliantly to have my items shipped across the world. ASG Wind packed my belongings and ensured they passed through customs, while Conroy Removals did the same in Australia. The service was faultless and relatively quick. I left India on 20th June, and everything was unpacked safely in our shed in Hobart on the 31st August. I thoroughly recommend this partnership should you decide to move overseas!

They were very helpful, had great communication, and were priced extremely well. The team at pickup and drop off were also great at their job. The shipment arrived in perfect condition and very quickly.

I won't know if our processions are all in one piece or all there as I won't get to inspect them until next year. We were able to get the complete move done without being present at either end.

I had a relatively good experience having I small shipment of goods sent from Wisconsin to Australia. The major negative I have is that change in cost that was not made clear until after the fact. The net weigh was about what was estimated, but the volume was higher, which resulted in about a 25% increase. There was also a customs and quaritne charge that was not discussed until the goods where in country.

Conroy Removals were partnered with my international shipping company Anglo Pacific to deliver my goods that got shipped over from the UK. The team I dealt with (Liz and Steve) were professional, flexible and really clear and quick with email and phone communication. I'm very happy with Conroy Removals, as they made the task of shipping my belongings from Melbourne to Montevideo quite stress-free for me. They also liaised with a local company for the door-to-door delivery service. I have to say that they saved the day in a way, because it was very hard to find an Australian company shipping to Uruguay these days.

Conroy Removals were responsible for the Australian side of our UK-Australia move, and the process was pretty straightforward and stress-free. They were accommodating when we wanted to pick up a couple items early, and they then showed up promptly and worked quickly on the delivery date.
