Clare of Barwood is just full of her own importance and has ignored us for over two years.

We’ve had to sort out lots of problems ourselves that have just been bad workmanship.

Other people in affordable homes are also upset by her.

We are giving our experience with Barwood Homes 5 stars

Right from the start of viewing our new home with Louise and Georgina at the Manor Leys site, the service we have received has been second to none. They have both gone above and beyond to ensure a faultless move from start to finish.

Both Louise and Georgina provided us with extensive knowledge of the local area and their expertise of the build, specifications and buying and moving process helped us immensely with the move to our dream home.

Again both Louise and Georgina have been friendly and approachable, providing that added personal touch and reassurance throughout.

As expected with new build properties, we have found a few minor snags but all have either been dealt with or are planned to be dealt with within weeks of moving in. This is thanks to Becky's and Hannah's attention to detail and excellent customer service in resolving any outstanding issues.

Overall we cannot fault Barwood Homes and would recommend them considering the experience we have received.

Mr Juli (in Construction) was such a God's sent. friendly fella and down to earth. always available to respond to all our questions, and was always there to fix any little issue we had in our new home. He is a keeper.

I’m giving Barwood Homes 5 stars due to one person and that’s the site manager Julian. I had several issues with the sales staff, from what we was told when buying the property ie the integrated kitchen units. Having making several complaints we finally got what we asked for. Having then moved into the property there comes a snagging list that you hand to the site manager (Julian) to say he went above and beyond is an understatement. Julian couldn’t do enough for you, he made moving into a new home more pleasurable. Even to this day some 8 weeks since moving in, he still has time to talk to you and assist in anyway he can. Thanks Julian

Excellent service and delivered what was agreed on above and beyond expectations

We are very happy with our dealings with Barwood. The co- ordinator has been excellent in dealing with any questions that we have had, and has dealt with them promptly.

My partner and I have recently brought our first home at Heathe Gardens, Anstey. The staff at Barwood Homes went above and beyond throughout the whole process and were very professional.

I want to make special mention for Louise as she has continued to provide excellent customer service and when we moved in, gave us a bottle of prosecco of her own back!!

I also want to thank Julian (site manager) for all his advice and assistance in the handover of the house, and Georgina who accompanied him.

We are very happy and pleased with the overall service.

Recently bought a new build Barwoods, a few issues and remaining snags still need sorting but giving this a 5 star review as Julian the site manager has been amazing. Any issues (big or small) he’s been straight round to sort it, thoroughly explains things. always contactable any time of the day and does it all with a big smile!

We have had a great experience buying our first home with Barwood Homes.

We had the pleasure of dealing with Louise in the sales team who was always smiling and extremely helpful whenever we needed anything before we got our keys.

Once we moved in we had a few snags as expected with a new build but they have been sorted quickly.

The site manager, Julian, has been great. He is always one phone call away and extremely quick to respond to our queries.

The overall build quality of the house is great and it feels like a real home. I would definitely recommend Barwood Homes to anybody out there looking for a new home.

We have just bought a 2 year old Barwood Home in Kineton. Exemplary customer service from helping to resolve a legal issue through to sharing the name of the kitchen design company.

Jason, who’s a fantastic tradesman, did his best, but alas you’re only as good as the product you’re given!

The whole Barwoods experience, especially the Company Care, is something we did not envisage...proper sub standard!

When we saw the plots at Heathe Gardens we immediately fell in love with the layout of the homes and open plan living area, it played a huge part of the decision making for us.

The sales side of things were fine and pretty much smooth. However once the ball got rolling with the solicitors, things got very complicated and we had to endure the hard work of constantly chasing the teams at Barwood, The solicitors , it didn’t appear there was much communication going on. This period up until completion was a very stressful and upsetting time. However, Since we have moved into our new home it all feels like a distant memory now.

The best the about moving into the house and the main reason for the 5 star review is all down to Julian. He has made the experience much more enjoyable and made sure we are safe and comfortable in our home, he has been there through the journey all the time, shows his passion and dedication to his job and local residents. If we’ve had any issues or needed help, he responds to messaged immediately even if it’s at 11pm at night.

Of course, as normal with any house there have been some snags, but Julian and Josh were quick to rectify these.

I hope Barwood continue this level of service in 2 years when it comes to reviewing the home under the warranty as we can see many screw pops and cracks appearing (as expected)

The one thing I would say, and could have given this review a 3 or a 4 star is due to the quality of the kitchen and the overall finishing, the worktop has chips, the way the integrated appliances spaces were built wernt very well thought out and we’ve had lots of issues trying to rectify this ourselves. the kitchen has several flaws, perhaps this was due to the selected suppliers and kitchen fitters rather than Barwood but it needs to be reviewed. We hope our continued snags with our kitchen get resolved soon, we have every faith in Julian he will do his best to ensure we are happy with the final outcome!

We completed on our new Barwood home in December 2020 and couldn’t be happier with our gorgeous new house. It has exceeded all expectations. The build and finish have been completed to an extremely high standard and the attention to detail is spot on. From the day we viewed the show home and our plot, Jane the sales advisor kept us updated at all times during the purchase process and couldn’t have worked harder to get us our dream home. Since moving in the site team and customer care have been on hand to help with any issues and anything that needed sorting has been done in a timely manner. We feel extremely lucky to, by chance have found such an amazing place to live and based on our experience to date wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a Barwood Home. 5⭐️

5 stars for Julien. He was showing me first plot and he helped me to get answers for all questions before I bought the property. Then once I moved in he was there all the time if I needed anything. I would say he is working 24/7 as he answered my messages and phone calls even in the evening. If I could I would put 4 starts for one thing. When I collected keys I didn’t get flowers as promised. All my friends buying bee build houses received nice flowers or bottle of Champagne which is very nice when you buying own house. I was disappointed also to see that green small bow on the door. I put bigger ones on my child’s Xmas present. Considering the fact that this days social media plays huge role if Barwood would put little effort on that special day then I’m sure more people would post it on fb and they could get more customers. Marketing this days it’s huge part of the business. I was also unhappy that my neighbours had to have some issue with Barwood about streets lights. Apart from it. I’m happy to have new home.

Great sales team who helped the purchase move quickly. Supportive after care has been good so far. Everything as expected in the house and most snagging problems rectified quickly.

The pre-sales process was really good but once the sale was completed, Barwood have been poor at best. We completed on our house at the end of November knowing the turf was not ready, however we then encountered the December rains which created a mud pit and ground flooding. We requested ground drains, Barwood said grass would resolve. Its been 2 months and we still have ground water and no grass. We found scratches on a window and asked to have them sorted - Barwood stated it was outside of the 7 day acceptance period, so why am i still living without grass 2 months on. Bit of a one sided after sales process. Abdication of any responsibilty seems the normal approach. House is absolutely lovely but I would think twice about buying with Barwood again. Right from the start our house purchase was conducted in a very friendly and professional way. Debbie, sales consultant, was great and kept us informed every week on the progress of the build.

The sale of our old home was frustratingly slow, Georgina, customer services manager was fantastic, she chased the entire chain many times and kept us informed on a daily basis.

Our new Barwood home has exceeded all our expectations, the build quality is so good that there are only a few very minor snagging issues. It's obvious that Pete, the site manager, only accepts high quality work.

Another plus point of buying a Barwood home is access to the 'Spaciable' website where there is a comprehensive list of useful information from materials used to appliance instruction manuals - everything you could ever want to know.

After a very warm handover from Pete we were delighted to receive a call from Becky of new homes customer care welcoming us.

We are looking forward to many happy years in our new home.

Very responsive to queries and all my questions have been resolved efficiently

To be honest, first, the amount of money doesn’t match the including services you’ve received . Quality of house is not bad at all but for 259000 is embarrassing not to receive for example turf(grass) on back yard and a water hose and few more things.
Second, we pay a lot for concil tax and all the residents doesn’t have a privat road, anyone can come at any time which is not good and safe and lights on the road are missing as well.
Hopefully someone will do something to improve the Barwood Homes and do a balance between price and services.
