Me and my wife both used TJL as part of our medical negligence case that was recently settled. We each had our own case, for the same surgeon.

It was an unusual case but TJL handled it from start to finish with great care and detail. It was a sensitive case for us, and they deal with it with respect, empathy and above all the highest level of professionalism.

We dealt with all of their staff and to be honest they all deserve credit. Throughout we had peace of mind that our case was being handled properly and when we had questions they were answered, often calling us and even when we were on the other side of the world in an awkward time zone.

I want to thank TJL for their incredible work. From start to finish they made everything smooth and were always happy to answer any questions along the way. They provided sound legal advice. I had surgery in 2020, originally referred by my GP on the NHS but opted for private treatment thinking I would get better care. Instead of fixing my breathing, I now couldn’t breathe and was left with a crooked nose with a large amount of scar tissue. The surgeon and the hospital were not interested in helping me after. I went with TJL solicitors because of their reviews and how happy people seemed. It’s hard to trust reviews online but as someone who was terrified of taking legal action, I can honestly say that TJL were brilliant. The whole process was smooth and seemingly easy for me. They did all the hard work in the background. My only advice to anyone seeking legal advice that these things take time. I just won my case and it took around 3 years from start to finish. It may seem like a long time but my case was complex and there are many cases that take much longer. All I can say is TJL gave me the best possible outcome. Really happy with the outcome of my case. Mike and Sarah always updated me and replied to my emails quickly. They explained anything I did not quite understand and put my mind at ease with some if the wording. I had poor upper eyelid surgery, with poor results.

I contacted the solicitors to see if I had a case (which I did). The team that was assigned to me (Joanna - litigation specialist and Joanne - Associate) handled my case with the utmost professionalism, precision and care.

My case was successful. I settled out of court. Joanne successfully negotiated three increases to the initial offer that the defendants made and my final compensation was actually higher than the solicitor’s had forecast we could aim for at the start of the process.

If you have suffered negligence, as I had, and want to pursue a case then I can 100% recommend these solicitors.

In total it’s taken roughly 2 years from the point of contact with the solicitors to accepting an offer of compensation from the defendants (yesterday) which is longer than I had initially anticipated. But all is well that ends well!
