Have used Brighton, Edinburgh and Coal Drops and had excellent customer service in each one. The staff are so friendly and really helpful, they will give you honest truth on what glasses will or won’t suit you and what colours to pick. You can tell they really care about the brand and ensuring you get the right look/fit.

I needed a replacement lens in a set of glasses that were only a couple of weeks old. One lens had a scratch, my fault.
I was horrified to be told that it would cost £300 for a replacement lens and that they had to replace both of them even though only one had been damaged, the other was still pristine. That was their policy and they refused to consider only replacing the damaged one.
Beware, they have excessive out of proportion charges for a simple repair and are basically price gouging a customer that they know has little or no choice.

Bought the expensive Barlow titanium frame and the nose pad (built in the frame, also titanium, one single piece) just snapped after only 3 years! I spent £450 on the glasses and they're broken already! Went back to the shop and they asked me for £125 to repair it! When they adjusted the nose pad in the original shop they used a machine to bend it. Went to another shop after 3 years and she bent it with her hands in front of me. I think this was wrong and must have caused the damage. The fact is that I was told that I have to pay £125 to soldier the piece.

As a makeup artist I take eyewear seriously. I need pinpoint accuracy for lash applications and the finest liner so my vision has to be crisp, plus working in fashion means that any facial furniture has to be chic and work with my retro 70s rock chic look. I love Cubitts unique frames. People constantly stop me in the street and ask where my cool glasses are from. Their eye tests are state of the art and detect issues that other opticians will miss. The after sales care in the Spitalfields branch (where I got the frames too) is great; I can pop into store to get a free top up of their lens cleaner and they will adjust/tighten my glasses and professionally clean them so they look brand new at no extra charge. That is service!

I have been wearing glasses and contacts since I was 16 years old and almost 35 years later after countless appointments and assessments I have yet to find anyone as courteous efficient thorough and experienced as Cubitts in Spitalfields
The attention to detail the efficient and wonderful staff made the experience memorable to say the least
It felt more like John and the crew were family and the inviting warm friendly atmosphere is the very reason I would highly recommend Spitalfields branch of Cubitts and have recommended to so many friends and family

From the moment I walked in, every member of the team made me feel genuinely welcome. I went back several times to have my glasses adjusted (probably more than most customers!), and every single visit was met with the same patience, professionalism, and kindness. At no point did I feel like I was being a nuisance—they always took the time to make sure everything was absolutely perfect.

A special thank you to Lily, Aiden, and Anna, who were all outstanding. I’d also like to thank another member of the team whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch. They were all incredibly patient, professional, and courteous throughout my visits, and they made me feel just as welcome as everyone else. Their knowledge, attention to detail, and genuine care for their customers really set them apart.

Thanks to their advice, I ended up with two fantastic pairs of glasses—one acrylic frame and one titanium frame—and I’m absolutely delighted with both.

It’s rare these days to come across customer service that feels so personal and sincere. The whole team should be incredibly proud of the experience they provide. Thank you all for your patience, your expertise, and for making what could have been a stressful process such an enjoyable one.

Very efficient and friendly team at the Notting Hill store. Flo was very helpful and patient as I tried different frames and the optician explained clearly what was happening with my eyes and how best to maintain eye health.

Fantastic experience at the store in Brighton - Hannah (optometrist) was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. She and the rest of the team in the store were then brilliant in helping me choose some new frames, the ordering process was simple and my new glasses were with me by the end of the week. There is a large variety of frames and sunglasses to choose from, and the quality / value for money is second to none. I would recommend the team at Cubitts Brighton to anyone.

I recently had a lovely experience at Cubitts Spitalfields branch. I can’t say enough how friendly and helpful the staff are. The whole experience was just a joy! They have the most stylish range of frames, so many that I found it hard to choose. But the staff didn’t rush me and gave great advice. I’m so happy with my new glasses and they’re so comfortable too. I think I’m going to go back for another pair!

Popped in to the Spitalfields store this week and spoke with the lovely staff who took me through some great glasses options. Didn't have time to sort them but will pop in next week to buy a new pair. Thank you for your help
